Nevermind the horrors- I've wanted actual Chaos Warriors that lived up to all the artwork from that era.

You've got these bad ass giant Adrian Smith and Kopinski drawn warriors looking all awesome, and all their was at the time were those hunchbacked plastics.

Which got replaced with the faux fur wearing clone army marching their way forward. Where are my hulking dealers of death that make the Empire quake and shiver in their codpieces?

...Although flipping through my old Hordes of Chaos book, those old horrors certainly are a lot more interesting to look at.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

I know your pain, they just aren't what they used to be... I really hope they don't get phased out in favour for the God specific troops however.

Rather than generic chaos warriors I want to see the Tzeentch version of the Blightkings or Skulltakers. What the Blightkings are to the Lord of Plagues I want to see an equivalent to the Curseling.

Spoiler:

This, definitely this. Like wrathmongers; that said an alternative warrior for each god would be good too (like blood warriors).

As a Tzeentch player, I think that if anyone really needs love it's Slaanesh though (see what I did there ). Seriously though.

Or he just looks like a generic Chaos character in heavy armor does.

Some of the elements he has were lifted from the Warhammer Online concept art, as they had Tzeentchian stuff having the 'dagged' mail look since it kinda looks almost feathered.

I think big hulking brutes doesn't really fit either Slaanesh or Tzeentch though. A cabal of cool looking, freaky sorcerers would be a more appropriate unit I think.

They're the same legs as any other Chaos character from the same timeframe; revamped versions of Archaon on foot.

There's always the Pantheon of Chaos Kickstarter if you want some unique Chaos warriors... Some cracking stuff!

Well, we know there's a faction coming(Tzeentch Arcanites) at some point. I wouldn't be surprised to see something like a cabal of big brutes with a tiny guy as the leader.

That could be cool! I'd really like to see them in the armour of the other factions actually - Tzeentch manipulating the morons serving the other Gods.

The splitting rule is on the current Horror warscroll but basically equates to an extra attack on death. I'm not sure we'll get actual model interaction for the little blue guys (outside of the board game).

Unless we get a new unit type for Horrors too.

Nah, you are probably right...but you could paint some models pink and others blue, (and still others pink changing into blue) and have them all part of the same unit...I think it's the theme that is the coolest. The original Warhammer Quest used the 'then current' (Warhammer 5th ed?) rule where you actually replaced the pink model with two blues...which had slightly weaker stats, but, you know, were two more models to deal with.

Really brutal when your level 1 party with no magic weapons runs into some of those in an objective room. You need sixes just to hit them, and when you finally out one of them, you just end up with two more to deal with.

Barely got through that ordeal, and that was only two of them.

wikia wrote:Those who do attain great power in the service of Tzeentch, however, are extremely powerful foes, mighty Chaos Sorcerers as well as great warriors. Additionally, while Khorne detests and forbids sorcery, intrigue and subtlety in all its forms, Tzeentch has no such qualms about using and manipulating brutish might when it strikes his fancy. As such, while Khorne has no Sorcerer or psyker followers, Tzeentch assembles armies of warriors from all walks of life; anyone who inflicts or incurs great change, in himself or his surroundings, is likely to fall under the gaze of the Lord of Change.

I rather like the idea of (a) monstrous hulksmash warrior(s) among a group of slender duelists types, regular warriors and sly sorcerors with the champions incorporating elements from all of them.

I'm also converting skaven into birdmen right now. Couldn't wait and see if I even like the upcoming Tzeentch stuff I also did a Nurgle dude, though, so I can at least use him if the Silver Tower sucks.

Edit: If anyone has excess spine parts from buying all those crypt horror boxes, I'll take them off you!

Well, that doesn't tell us much info but it does make the game's release date pretty much confirmed to be what people have been saying it was.

Atm it would cost £161 for the stuff separately. I'm guessing Ghouls will get a slight reduction when they're reboxed from 10 to 20, but still not too bad. And it'll be available from retailers so can get it discounted too.

Actually it would cost £176.50 for the stuff separately at GW webstore prices. Works out at quite a big saving (around 22%). If you get that from an online retailer at 20% discount that would still be £108 compared to buying individually at £141.20. Also the Varghulf is direct only so it would actually make it more to purchase individually.

Good one!
Im thinking traditional japanese Tengu -crow like hobgoblins. (darn it, now Id like tzeench models playing with a traditional japanese theme)

As for the new Tzeench warriors, Im thinking
1- mutated and deformd
2- balistic units throwing magic bolts/warp fire.

You are confusing your currencies. The box set will probably cost £110 (it is €145) which is almost a 40% discount. So the online retailer price will be £88.

Ghoul bodies with Skaven skulls wit sculpted beaks or Kroot heads, maybe some feathers -from GS or DEldar or Forrest Gobbos- for the rump makes very nice and creepy vulture men. Bloodletter feet if you want them even more bird like.

I'm giving my first one small wings as arms (press mould from DW cyber bird enlarged with GS) with Wulfen claws for a freaky looking Nurgle vulture archeopterix.

Ihave to differentiate between Nurgle birdmen and tzeentch birdmen, so I'm going for proud ravens or filthy crows and vultures.

I think you missed the post on the previous page that showed the price of the set will be £135, which makes sense as that was how much the Sylvaneth set was.

Oops yeah. The Brits get a relatively bad deal on this one then.

Edit Ok that is weird. I checked a few countries and every else in the world it is about a 35% discount, but closer to 20% in the uk.
