anyone else hoping to have this playing in the background when Tz game is released?

So very excited. GW has been killing it for a few weeks. I loved the Orruk releases purely for the painting-project of it, then the General's Handbook shook things up, and made me actually excited to try playing some AoS again... and now i'm finally having a potential dream-come-true moment as Warhammer Quest returns???

Please, please, please don't muck this up GW. I want the core rules to be roughly the same, the settlement phase intact, and a giant rule-book filled with tables and rules for adding all kinds of AoS races to my possible enemy pool. Hell... weave the entire AoS line into the new WHQ, or give me mountains of expansions. Sure i'll buy a new Death Box if all those models come with Quest rules, etc...

I'd probably buy the bulk of the current range if I could throw it at my heroes.

I want rules for Archaon! Nagash! The Glotkin! Verminlords! Hell, the whole Extremis Chamber and their Stardrakes!

BRING IT ON.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

You know that would be an absolutely brilliant idea. They could sell so many more models if they just released cards and info to incorporate the current stuff into a dungeon. I would throw money at a naked board game with just rules and no miniatures if the option to add from the current line of models was an option.

Isn't that what we're doing now though? Except we get to "create" the board?

Well, that's exactly what the original WHQ did. You could put pretty much anything from the WFB line at the time into your dungeons.

This is what I want, more than anything. I'm a sucker for loot, persistent dungeon crawl campaigns, and diversity/randomness. Frankly, I would virtually make Sigmar-Quest my main game if this was the case. Come on GW... take the loss on the base game, and print me up a gigantic book of random encounters, monsters stats, random events, etc.... like the old "Advance Game" rules.

Do that, and I will probably single-handedly help you recoup the cost of printing said book, in AOS models. :-p

That seems extremely unlikely. Their prior board games have been pretty self-contained and limited in their scope. Releasing a game similar to Warhammer Quest would be a pretty dramatic departure. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Agreed, but I almost feel Warhammer Quest has to be seen like Bloodbowl, internally. GW has to understand that it just isn't a game... its a cheap... easily sustainable release platform that can move other product. A one-and-done would be extremely stupid on their part, and the new GW seems smarter than that.

Sooo... big Bull Centaur Shar'tor the Executioner, of the Legion of Azgorh

There’s so much coming up at Warhammer Fest, I couldn’t resist showing you another new model that’ll be available there first. Introducing Shar’tor the Executioner of the Legion of Azgorh…

Shar’tor is shown here next to a Daemonsmith for scale, and he is HUGE! Bigger even than the Bull Centaur Taur’uk. Click on the picture for a better view, and a look at the box he’ll come in.

Shar’tor the Executioner will be available first at Warhammer Fest, and soon after on the Forge World web store.

There’s still more to come on what’s going to be available at Warhammer Fest, so get your tickets whilst you can and keep checking this bulletin for more!

Wow - that's pretty sweet! I'm not sure what I could use it for, but love the head piece especially

I wonder if these guys can sue GW now for using Silver Mountain. Or maybe it will be Silver Mountian.

Not sure if this has popped up yet...

The latest Visions has the AoS Realm of Battle boards we have seen before previewed. They are called Shattered Dominion and are labelled as 'coming soon'. Four different tiles in the six tile set, and Visions has some funky paint schemes for them.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all

The local GW has one on the AoS demo table. It's pretty sweet. I asked in the store about it a couple weeks ago, and the manager said they could order it for you, even though it wasn't on the site at the time.

Why not just use one of the other rulesets that lets you do just that? Otherworld skirmish covers it.

Really meh about the ROB board. Sure the moulded details are nice, but its still flat. Without some 3d element like ruins or hills you might as well use a mat.

They should at least release a clampack Strigoi/ghoul king. You can't expect people to always use a monster riding general in a "skirmish" game. Oh wait, GW mightt just do that.

And I'm salty because GW never released a plastic Black Coach that I could use multiples of to create a gypsi/Ravnos inspired Strigoi army traveling in carts from town to town, feeding their ghoulish offspring and siblings with the flesh of the living under the rule of their once noble lord brought low into a monstrous, seldom seen charicature of himself. They even nuked the Free Company kit, so even if they should ever release a coach I can't get fitting human rabble to built gypsi fighters. And building a coach or sleeping wagon from scratch is HARD.

(I would have used old metal ghouls or Heresy Miniatures ghouls, though).

Looking for a Skaven Doomwheel banner to repair my Nurgle knights.
