When I think “superheavy” I think titans. Imperial titans (not that there aren’t some nice Xenos ones out there, they just don’t come to mind first). While the Warhound is more likely to be seen on the table, due to scale and cost, it doesn’t quite conjure the gravitas and menace of the Warlord. It’s a walking effigy of death, war, and imperial power. A monument to the over-the-top impractical styling of the setting.

IMHO, it it the Superheavy.

As a tau player, the manta fills me with much joy, envy and loathing. its just an absurd model in all of the right ways.

For me it was a toss-up between the warhound and bane blade variants. While bane blades are probably more common, I feel that the warhound represents 40k much better.

This, but Reaver instead of Warlord for me.

As for the tabletop, the Imperial knight, despite only being out since 1/2 way through 6th, has rapidly become the poster child for superheavies for most people's most commonly encountered SH I'd wager.

Baneblade because so many people (even outside 40k gamers) can recognize that tank.

Stompas are to Gargants as Knights are to Titans.

Indeed, I'm asking because Gargants aren't represented on the tabletop in 40k so wouldn't get my vote for most iconic super-heavy but Stompas would if there was the option.

It was a tossup between the Warhound and Gargant (Stompa) for me.
But went for the Warhound.
Looks like the baneblade is running away with it this week though.....

The first Superheavy that comes to mind for me is the IG Baneblade. While I play Tau and love the Manta and the new Tau Titan, they just don't scream superheavy to me. Giant Tank with city busting gun? Oh yeah! The warhound is a close second to me, but I've never seen one on the table personally, and I've never been able to fully crack a baneblade!

Imperial Guard has pretty much everything that is the most iconic in the vehicle section. rest would be spacemarines i guess.

Baneblade all the way imho.

Please note, for those of you who play Chaos Daemons as a faction the term "Daemon" is potentially offensive. Instead, please play codex "Chaos: Mortally Challenged". Thank you.

Who ever voted the Tau MC ought to be ashamed, their main super heavies are Flyers.

Banevlade probably, although I voted for Warhound. Baneblade is just a bigger Lemun Russ

Had to pick the Baneblade, was my introduction into 40k, just some dude with a kiosk at the mall telling me about how it had 11 barrels to blow things away with. Needless to say me at like...7 or so was pretty impressed by the idea of a tank with 11 barrels.

I'd say the Warhound Titan. Baneblades are a close second for me. The Tau titans haven't been around to be iconic, although the only model I own from the list is one of them, a Stormsurge.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

Baneblade kinda fits the description more for me. Maybe because Titans ARE most of the time called Titans and talked aboout in their own - Legio Titanicus - categorie, not superheavy walkers, while Baneblade is just a superheavy tank.

Why even bother putting anything other than spacemarine or guard? They will always be the most iconic for basically everything with only nids and orks close.

My thoughts as well. I'd also have to say the Stompa is well up there as well for me.

Yup, basically anything nid, ork, but SM and guard will always be the posterboys and will be most well known.
The main ones easily are Baneblade and the stompa for superheavys.

I think that the poll misrepresents the most iconic. The Banebkade and variants are thrown together yet each titan variant is seperate(I understand there is a lot of differences between them but Its basically Titan vs Baneblade sooo)

P'tah Dynasty
Iron Warriors
