Really? I only count two. I know it sucks, but they never ended up filming Alien: Engineers.
This is, uh. Well, it's a thing. Hopes are not high.
I know lots of people didn't like Alien 3, but I did. What came after that though... *shudder*
The first 5 minutes ruined the movie for me.
Indiana Jones 5 the quest for sanity, Indiana wakes up in an asylum, his adventures where all in his head, his shrink(perceived father ( sean connery)) tries to find out what made him have these delusions as his fantasies get grander with age.

I've never understood the popular internet hatred for Crystal Skull.
Aliens are no sillier than the Grail or the Ark.
Cold War Soviets are just as good an enemy as pre-WW2 Nazis.
Surviving a blast wave by hiding in a fridge is no more ridiculous than surviving a voyage on the outside of a submarine.
Swinging through the trees on vines is no more unrealistic than sledding down the Himalayas in a rubber life raft.

I don't think the hatred is entirely about it not being religious but the fact that it isn't as interesting on most levels plus Shia Labouf isn't a a young Harrison Ford in pretty much all respects, film or otherwise. It just wasn't an interesting movie, vague comparisons or not.

Except Aliens are not as interesting or intriguing as the Grail, Ark or Shankara stones. The abilities of aliens are just advanced science. The powers of the religious artefacts transcend science, with unknowable potential due to them drawing their power from something which we have no comparison for.
The soviets would be just as good, agreed.

The issue wasn't the ingredients, but the meal that was made. It just fell flat and lacked the energy or spirit of the previous films.
It probably didn't help that Ford was past his prime as an actor and leading man, and LaBoeuf wasn't capable of picking up the slack.

If Spielberg can stick with his first instincts ("No, George, I don't think aliens are a good idea") rather than being persuaded against his better judgement to go with the plot his pal George first suggests, this could be good. I look forward to it.
And I didn't mind The Crystal Skull, though it could have been better. Bring back John Hurt for this one....

I'd like to see his character become Indiana's successor, and Indiana be relegated to the "wise old man" role like Jones Snr in Last Crusade.
But the character should definitely be recast. Automatically Appended Next Post: Indiana Jones and the Aluminum Zimmerframe. I really enjoyed Temple of Doom. I liked Short Round, and I liked Kate Capshaw wearing a saree quite a lot.
All things considered, the best two are the first and third, then the second, and Crystal Skull is last, but it's still a lot better of an Indiana Jones adventure than Star Wars 1 was a Star Wars adventure.

Ehhh, disagree.
You could theoretically make it down a mountain on a rubber life raft. A human would never be able to achieve the upper body strength/weight ratio to allow you to swing through the trees like a monkey.
On the submarine, I always assumed he managed to sneak inside it.
Fridge wasn't a big deal IMO.

Pretty sure that sums it all up right there.
Harrison Ford was, for a lot of people, an icon. 70 years old and still getting high and safely crashing planes.
Lebouf? I dunno got felt up at some weird "art" stunt he did.
One is the man a lot of us would like to be. The other was on Even Stevens, and that was some of his best work.

Guys you don't understand why this is a great thing; Indiana Jones works off an every-other system.
Raiders of the Lost Arc = Good
Temple of Doom = Bad
Last Crusade = Good
Crystal Skull = Bad
Following the trend, we can see that the 5th movie will be good, it's the SIXTH movie you need to worry about.
