So for a bit of a fun thread, I've decided to make a thread about the stereotypes we have amongst ourselves about the players behind each army. Now this isn't a "EVERY SW player I meet is a fething *censored* who *censored* with a *censored*" kind of thread this is a "people think that all Demon players are angsty, but it's not really true" thread.

"I don't have a good feeling about this... Your mini looks like it has my mini's head on a stick..."

"From the immaterium to the Imperium, this is Radio Free Nostramo! Coming to you live from the Eye of Terror, this is your host, Captain Contagion, bringing you the latest Heretical hits!"

All Eldar players are WAAC and are playing the "Flavor of the month" army.

All Astra Militarum players are hung like horses, with stamina to match. Which seems unfair, because I have way more stamina than a horse.

I'm not sure why everyone decided to measure one day, but we were bored and I guess it just stuck. It was a rather large gathering, so I assume our sample size was sufficient. Just crazy how stereotypes get started.

Eldar players are elitists; not only do they think their armies are better but that they themselves are better people.

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

Space Marine players are either 10 year olds who slapped a sloppy coat of blue on a poorly assembled battleforce or that they complain whenever they lose a single tactical marine to 100 lasgun shots and call IG overpowered.

The Codex Astartes does not approve of non-vanila flavored food.

Tau players don't know how to do anything except make a gun line and focus on tabling their opponent...

But not really. I like to play mobile Tau and know a fair number of Tau players who also like to use the mobility and deployment options that Tau can have and actually play to objectives.

All Astra Militarum players are really loud, roleplay a commissar way too much, and inevitably just charge forward wit barely a mote of strategy and inevitably rage when they lose and say the Imperium has "numbers" and my victory means nothing. All 25 of them and only one loss in two years.

They quote "Drive Me Closer!" way too much.

All Eldar players are stuck up elitists or play flavor of the month.

All Tau players are weeaboos and don't know what the movement phase is.

All space marines should be blue, if you're doing something else you're wrong. Oh, and why aren't marines immortal?

Space wolves. Yiff in hell you furries. Absolute heresy. (alternatively Odin is the one true god).

Dark Angels are so edgy you'll cut yourself trying to pick up their models.

Nid players either run hordes because they hate themselves or all flyrants because they hate everyone else.

Chaos marine players just want to stand out and fight the man by not playing space marines.

Chaos players are equally edgy to DA. Oh, and down with organized government.

Orks players are all idiots that just want to shout dakka dakka and sound dumb.

Guard players hate themselves and want to paint a million models, and think that they're doing something noble by playing the lowly guardsman.

Blood Angels. SUPER EDGY.

Loyalist Marine players are the biggest bunch of spoiled, over-entitled whiney children. Every time Chaos gets a toy that's still a -10 version of it's closest Loyalist equivalent, Loyalist players whine until GW gives them a carbon copy that's 10x better and 10-20% cheaper than what Chaos pays for ours.

I dont understand why Chaos doesn't have grav guns. GW hasn't advanced the timeline of the game in forever yet somehow space marines magically got grav guns during this time where the future never comes. If the loyalists had this weapon the whole time you'd think chaos would have it too.

The easiest, most reasonable explanation is that Grav weaponry(not Graviton weaponry, which we've seen in the HH stuff) was rediscovered post-Heresy.

When? GW hasn't advanced the story since 4th edition, and space marines didn't have it back then.

They don't have to advance the story when we're talking about such a huge chunk of time. For all we, the players know, it got rediscovered relatively recently and is SUPPOSED to be a rare piece of archaeotech(read: what it actually says in the book). But because of how rules not equating to fluff works, players can field a ton of them with no penalties.

I feel like they should remove the Grav Gun from all units and make it a special equipment that a character can have. Like the Shard of Anaris or Phoenix Gem that the Eldar have. That will fix Grav spam real quick.

All DE players have 6,045,234,231,563,223 wyches sitting on a shelf at their home that they water with bitter tears before bed each night, raging at the injustice.

All SM players believe that SMs should have the ability to ignore morale, terrain, cover, move twice in a movement phase, 7 poisoned melee attacks, rerollable armor saves that ignore AP, with assault 50 Boltguns. They think that's perfectly fair for 14 points a model.

All necron players not only play the same exact list since 7th edition, they are in fact all clones wearing fleshy masks. Check for the tell tale sign of the necroluminati when they meet each other at tournaments with their Rec/Harvest/Cult lists.

All IK players are eight year olds who sit at home with their four models making "pchoo pchoo" sounds when nobody will play them at the FLGS.

All Sisters and CSM players sit in their chairs at home, scratching furiously at themselves, trying to resist the heroin-like addiction to rage at length about the state of their armies and how much GW-sempai won't notice them in each and every thread on every forum in the internet. If you look on home improvement forums, near the bottom, there's usually a comment reply exclaiming that "yeah, well, if you think Bear paints have gone downhill, take a look at CSMs, they haven't had a good book since 3.5!!!"

All Tau players have ADHD and only got a quarter of the way through the main rule book before giving up. It's not that they're acting maliciously when they show up to each game with no terrain, no objectives, and only shooting units. They just didn't get that far in the rulebook.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

Wow, thats a lot of venom coming my way eh? Haha this thread can't possibly go wrong

All SW players have a fluffy plush toy call Fido

All AM players develop serious back issues from having to drag their steel balls around with them

All BA and CSM players regularly have standoffs to determine who is the most edgy (Tyrant's legion usually beat both)

Dark Eldar players are actually the nicest people you'll ever meet

Tau players just want a hug most of the time.

Most SOB players are agnostic

Chaos daemon players are very organised

Orks players are incredibly lighthearted

All SM players are colourblind

Oh and the grand secret is that we Eldar players were jerks before we started playing 40k

Working on it

Necron players silently gloat at the fact they're not as OP as Eldar but better than SM.

All Necron players are soon to be turned into Pariahs when the Tombship comes from behind the comet.

Necron players Use nothing but Warriors, Wraiths, and Overlords.

Necron players gorge on the tears of armor heavy list bringers

Necron race supreme, let there be metal

<Dynasty> ~10500pts
War Coven of the Coruscating Gaze ~3000pts
Thrice-Damned Plague Corps ~3250pts

The traditional counter of Vehicles was getting blown up by an antitank weapon in a single shot yet superheavy vehicles are immune to that and instead lose some hull points. So I guess we should remove that rule from all superheavy vehicles then too? So that the traditional counter to vehicles works on titans as well?
