Slip, just to make it better for you I will go back to the standard 10 models in a trukk. If it explodes 5 wounds, chances are 5 dead, but maybe you rolled a 6 so 4 dead, So now your orks went from 10 to 6, Morale check, and Pinning check. based on Ld 7 you will fail at least one of these. Mob rule time, if you passed it, (your below 10 models now and you aren't in CC so good luck) you suffer a further D6 wounds, So lets say 3 at S4 meaning 1-2 more wounds and 1-2 more dead ork boyz, now your unit of 10 boyz is down to 3 boyz and a nob. At that point your ability for CC is so badly impeded that your basically left with a unit hiding to deny a Kill point or a unit your trying to keep in cover near an objective to grab.

You claim the Trukk is good, you claim its great value, but I have shown you it is not. If I ever decide to play competitively with my Orks I will use my Trukks as "GunWagons" from FW and they are significantly better.

In maelstrom of war any MSU objective grabbing strategy comes with a base chance of winning, and trukkspam has a few advantages.

Everything is fast, everything can ram as AV14, and everything is obsec, that's nice.

This has been my experience with my trukkers in 7th. They're fairly good rushing out, grabbing objectives, and camping them. You can't really run all trukks though you need bikers and tank hunters like deffkoptas.

My lists have a block of units in trukks like 7-8, two units of 7 bikers just to target infantry, and the rest are tank hunters like squads of deffkoptas. But my meta doesn't use much FW stuff, or super heavies.

Fielding all trukks the trade off is suppose to be: There's less ork boots in your army but they move further upfield faster so are not getting whittled down as fast by enemy fire. If you decide to assault with trukks (and I try not to) you need basically 2 trukks and a deffkopta to soak up the overwatch. That group can take on a tactical squad...maybe.

7th edition kills orks but hey we have grenades now!

No, you really haven't. You've shown that the Trukk and its occupants can die if they are focused. No. gak.

If I start mathing out that a large blast S10 will kill most of my Vanguard in one hit, that doesn't make the Vanguard bad. All you've shown is fair understanding for math and poor understanding for tactics.

Theme wise you should mix in bikes and Warbuggies and Battle Wagons and convert them so they look all Mad Max Fury Road. You HAVE to put an orc playing a guitar on the front of a Battle Wagon. I'll let the others debate on how effective it will be, but wow will your army look cool.
I like this but I've got a bunch of infantry and I want them in the fight quick, for fluff and actual tactics
