I could see goats on boars, anthropomorphic sloths not so much....

I wonder if there is an optimal ratio of rider speed to mount speed. Like, if the mount is too slow, what's the point, but if it is too fast the rider can't react quickly enough to control it. So if there was an animal equivalent of an F1 car it would hardly ever be used as a mount because only a handful of humans could ever control it well enough to steer it at all without killing themselves.

I'm the opposite. I love the ysians and have nearly every release/KS model, but I hate that thing's cartoony croc head (IMO of course). Maybe I'll feel different seeing it sculpted.

Well got my shipping notice after about 4 months marked as packaging on Meirce's website. Guess this is the last time I do such a large order with one shipment. I believe I'm just waiting on Axe Crom to close out first edition part two. This shipment also closes out my order from Might Mounts.

My backlog of stuff with Mierce - stuff that's been in 'processing' - is quite long as well, and a lot of it has been sitting in the queue for a long time as well.

I still don't quite understand their system - and I'll admit to not getting how it is taking this long for a lot of my stuff to ship out either!

I know we had a fairly decent explanation a few pages back, but...yeah.

I've sent messages to them through the Mierce website asking for clarification/updates/etc.

No replies.

I wouldn't think messages sent through their own website would get lost/shunted to a spam folder, but...who knows?

Rob had to give Mierceday a miss on Friday because of the rest of his workload and the upcoming KS so depending on when you messaged him it may be stick in that backlog too?

It does get a bit frustrating to see a bunch of stuff that is now, more or less, 'available' and/or shipping out (and has been for some time) but not have any idea whatsoever where in the overall queue my stuff sits!

If all else fails you can message through KS, although that's a bit of a pain to use.

Might be in for the odd cavalry miniature. The Jutes look pretty nice. As a now very much peripheral Mierce backer, has there been any progress on starter sets being available direct from Mierce?

Starter Hosts are coming soon, simply put - hopefully this month; depends on photography more than anything else.

Mierce Darklands remains my 'main' fantasy game, so I'll probably be in for too much here - again!

But I am a bit nervous over what the cost for 5 'man' units will be this time around!

Could cavalry just be 3-strong in a unit? Would make it more manageable

I'm guessing 5-strong 50mm-based horse-and-similar cavalry, and 3-strong 60mm-based (and perhaps 80mm-based) somewhat more monstrous mounts.
...Gabrax on Tarvocx, for example - fingers crossed!

...Prices, however, will hurt something fierce for either option
