I recently picked up a PS4 and a couple games, but I'm having a hard time finding decent games.
Based on a Gamestop guys recommendation, I picked up Diablo III and the Witcher. Diablo is kinda fun, but very very repetitive, and the Witcher I couldn't get into at all, so I returned it for Fallout 4, which I know I'll like because I played III and New Vegas.
Normally, I'm into the fantasy type games. I think Skyrim is one of the best modern games, for reference, but I prefer a class based system than a one-man-army.
Any games out there I should try?

You can get Elder Scrolls Online cheap in the shops often. That's an MMO but there's no subscription fee, albeit you need PS+. Although it isn't Skyrim, much of it will be familiar.

Currently really enjoying Dark Souls 3, although you have to be in the right mood for it. Tired after hard day at work and wanting to put your feet up I find is not one of those times
Surprised you couldn't get into Witcher 3, although I've had friends who played for a short time and stopped. Probably my favourite game of all time on reflection.

Tbh I am burnt out on games ala Mass Effect with excessive ( IMO) Q&A sessions.

Shadow Warrior 2 is an exclusive, one as an XB1 owner is very jealous of. Not out yet but looks great.
Bad attitude comical hero played in first person, you are also a ninja, you use guns and swords to kill demons.
It's also not one of these new DLC cut games. Loads of content and made from the ground up.

If you didn't play it on the previous gen, The Last of Us has a remastered version out for the PS4. It's one of the best games I've ever played.
It's heavily story driven. Cut scenes rather than conversation wheels though.
Really, really great third person stealth dystopian zombie survival game.

Dark Souls 3 is a great game, as a souls veteran, its the 2nd best entry in the series after the original, just edging out Bloodborne. Star Wars battlefront is also a fun game, if you're not ultra competitive.

Great point about Alien Isolation.
By far (far, far, far) the best Alien franchise game I have ever played. If you love horror, the original film or sci-fi it's a must in my book.
I have never been so scared playing a video game, and could only do an hour at a time (yes, I'm a wuss!)

Note: Demon's Souls and DSouls 1 are not on ps4. I prefer Bloodborne by a mile; Better weapons and the story is better than even Souls 1, IMO. Souls 3 is worth buying, but the NPCs are mostly sucky cutouts like 2's. Turn-based stuff: Wasteland 2(it's ok at 30$) and Divinity: Original Sin (praised, but mearly ok).

Bloodborne comes to mind, but steer clear of Killzone unless you have played the previous games and feel a need for more of the same.
Also as mentioned by JNC, Divinity Original Sin is a good game

I've played all of the Killzone games up to the one on PS4. Mostly because a good buddy of mine, who's opinion nearly mirrors mine in all things video games summed up the game like this: "It isn't really a Killzone game" Basically, almost all of the things we loved about the previous games are gone, instead opting for stealth and shenanigans, rather than a military shooter.
If you haven't played the PS3 version, they have also made a remasterd Deadpool game. If you're thinking of Skyrim, I personally would wait, because in October ( IIRC) they are releasing a remastered version of the game for all platforms.
If you like shooters of any variety, I would recommend the new DOOM game as well... I didn't finish it as it wasn't really my cup of tea... I enjoyed it, but not enough to actually finish the story (just a personal thing, not that it wasn't fun, or it was a terrible game or anything)
If platforming is more up your alley, I absolutely LOVED the gak out of Ratchet and Clank. It is a reboot, but there are some changes throughout the course of the game (the actual story itself is different because it is being told by Quark... and thus narrates in such a way that those of us familiar with the older titles will get a few more laughs, or know what's going on)

If you like playing group/couch co-op games that are sci-fi Helldivers and Alienation could also be up your alley. Alienation has a class based system with loot, whereas Helldivers is more you trying to avoid killing yourself and your allies with all the crazy gear you call down for support.

Lots of great recommendations! Dakkanauts have good taste!
I would say the PS4 "must owns" are Bloodborne, Witcher 3, Shadows of Mordor, and Alien Isolation. The new Doom is also amazing.

Thanks for all these recommendations. As an update, I actually got a couple of the games mentioned here. Diablo 3 was the game I got when I bought the PS4, and I had fun with that one. I have played through about half of The Last of Us, but I played it right after playing that Indiana Jones-style trilogy from the same designers, and the mechanics are similar enough that I needed a break.
I ended up getting Witcher 3 again and gave it another go. I did get into it somewhat better than my first go around, but burnt out a bit. It's a good game, but to be honest I don't get the amount of praise it gets, but to each his own.
Perhaps the next tying I try might be the Alien game. I live that franchise, but have been skeptical about the game because Alien franchise games usually disappoint, and I seem to remember it getting dumped on on the reviews when it came out (I could be misremembering that)

The reviews were mostly whining about things in the game that actually made the game fun, and the addition of Nightmare difficulty makes it the ultimate Alien game. Word of warning though, is be very conservative with your items, particularly anti-Xenomorph ones. The biggest criticism I have that was a great idea, is that the Alien adapts to your tactics which can lead to dead-end scenarios like the one I am in right now. Without spoilers, I'm at the penultimate level and stuck in an endless loop of death and respawning, due to the Alien being immune to all but the flamethrower due to overuse, and not having enough ammo to actually make it worthwhile, meaning I would have to reload a save from 3 levels ago, that I also don't have so I need to restart. However that's a very unique scenario and unlikely to occur, just a word of warning.
