Thanks for the tip on those barrels. I picked some up, and the same ebay seller had these watch-tower things (with a REALLY wierd name, 'Pavilion Whistle' -- presumably a bad translation) that I picked up as well. Not sure what the scale is going to be but I'm guessing if it works for army men it will work for us. I'll post a pic with an ork boy for scale when they arrive next month (slow boat from China!)

$50 on Amazon, but even at that price might be worht it.

I've used mine from back in the day for a Dwarf Kings of War Steam Behemoth and sold them for around $20+ each after I ditched the army. Solid toy - but really hard to chop up and convert

Not real impressed with the "pavilion whistle" watchtowers. Really thin plastic and quite alot of flashing. Comes in 2 pieces, shown with a couple boyz and a grot for scale. Forgive the awful photo, my phone has a terrible camera.

The Thomas & Friends Super Station
Kids got this from a generous & overzealous Aunt & Uncle and it looked so cool I picked up a used one for $40 a few weeks later for the sole purpose of stealing parts for Necromunda/ 40k. Amazon also apparently has them on sale and you can sell off the trains and any extra tacks you don't need to offset the price.
Lots of little details to paint - rubble, pipes, cables lying around the tracks - just pop the face off the crane, paint everything Grimdark and you have a really cool base. You can build it up on the girders for height or lay it flat and encircle it with track.
Any chance you have pictures of the super station after its been repainted/converted?

Hiding behind terrain

I noticed Tech Deck park terrain for those fingerboards and BMX toys and thought the stairs looked a good size for 25mm based models to stand on. Just have to shorten or replace the rails. The ramps were pretty steep looking tho.
There's probably a whole bunch of stairs available for fingerboards and bmx out there. Some of the stairs would look right at home on urban or city tables.

I picked up 2 Hex Bugs fuel trucks at 5 Below (so $10 for both)
They're big but on the crude and under detailed side. They're also more Lego-like than expected, held together by clips sort of like the old Lego Technic sets. So there's room for converting and bashing them.

has anyone reported on the trucks?
In anycase this is the banekorpus tank with Krieg Turrets and some destruction for terrain https://imgur.com/gallery/FdbbRCD
I've recasted a dozen or so other turrets to eventually make a tank company with them and the toy.

The truck looks fine, the APC a tad undersized but works for a police/civilian vehicle and terrain.

You could make some interesting "spooky cursed rock" props from those swirly looking boulders with not much effort. The big rock lends itself neatly to some kind of chaotic shrine.
