There's no such thing as a 'minor recut' of a sprue. It's 'Sold Out' for a change of packaging, and it's returning at the same price. It's possible they market it as the Blue Scribes with a new set of instructions that tells you to just put the Blues on the Disc, but this ain't a new mini.

Well, fortunately we'll know for sure in less than 48 hours Game store owner was pretty stoked tonight though. Tzaanguary continues. We're even happy that the LoC/Kairos is only $115. yeah, how weird to be celebrating a model for being $115.

Really?

Weird. I'll have to check and see if my local shop got a few more in for stock, as I want one.

Could've sworn I saw Araloth at my local store recently.....

If they have any left this weekend I'll let you all know.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Poor Araloth, I guess that would be the final say that Lileath's haven was indeed destroyed. (Unless some kind of repackaging happens soon.)

You can always play them in the Old World if you want.

8.5 on the eefl (eighth edition for life) site is constantly updating to use new AoS stuff in the rank-and-file, you just need to supply the square bases.

Then there's always Total War Warhammer, of course.

Ghaz wrote:Here's another thought. The Burning Chariot's price is unchanged. Could they be slipping in a small sprue like THIS and would they be able to add enough extra components to make the Blue Scribes?

I doubt a unique character would become available as part of another kit. If anything they could add screamer tails and bases so you can make a disc plus 2 screamers. I doubt that too.

They'll probably just remove the squares and add a base for the exalted flamer.

Edit: possibly bases for the blue horrors to be on foot too.

The Burning Chariot kit won't have instructions for making the Blue Scribes.

Why?

Because the bits that the disc rests on (either the magic-y swirls for the Herald or the flames for the Exalted Flamer) have the tails for the screamers modeled into them. That disc is NOT designed to be used without the screamers pulling it.

With the white dwarf leaking, I was hoping we might see some of the new aos stuff, but I guess we will have to wait.

The fire and "swirly stuff" come in parts. The bit that connects to the disc part is a separate part that you glue/stick next to the parts integrated with scrrames tails.

Exactly. There are 3 parts to each. The 'swirly stuff' and flames each have screamer tails molded into them, but the 3rd part is a piece that attaches to the disc and it does NOT have any connection to the tails. And there are 2 inner discs for the kit as well
So with absolutely not cutting (other than off the sprue) you can make 1 Burning Chariot, 1 Herald on foot, and 1 Blue Scibes. Best $40 a Tzeentch player can spend.
The E-flamer would have to forgo the outer-ring disc so that the Scribe could attach all the books.

The 'new' Tzeentch Magister was revised from having a square base to a textured piece. Changing a die isn't ideal, but it isn't as hard as people seem to think it is.

That being said, I would put money on the Chariot just getting new trade dress.

I've been wondering a lot on how I would feel if somehow the Old World was reformed to an habitable planet but just became another planet like the Realms. Same geography etc but obviously there's no Altdorf like it used to be.

It that just for the Pinks & the Chariot, or does that "etc" include Screamers & Flamers too?

If he only mentioned Pinks & the Chariot, then that could imply that the contents of Screamers & Flamers did indeed double.

It was on their twitch channel. When they interviewed the sculptor in question. You just missed it.

Damn them. GW is really making everything possible to make me lose interest in their products.

Some of us have a job and can't watch a vid whenever they feel like gracing us with some tidbits. Would it be so complicated to put the videos on youtube or on their website like every decent company does?

Considering those are 4-5 hours long videos, scheduled on a 3-days-per-week basis... Nope. Plus I know of plenty of companies that do put a paywall on their content. If 5 dollars a months is bankbreaking it's a bad sign.

Most of these vids are battle report and things like that. I'm talking about the promotionnal vids they are putting. I don't care about 5$. But I have enough decency to not encourage a company that try to make me pay to watch a commercial (unlike some others)

Last time I checked 30+ minutes interviews weren't really commercials. Said commercials are already posted for free in warhammer tv's youtube channel.

Showing your ignorance once again. They are numerous informercials that are around or longer than 30 minutes. It' s rather sad to see the extent you'll go to to defend GW. They are not your friend. They are a corporation.

And at this point I can't help but feel you're missing the irony. For someone who goes on to speak on the ignorance of others (on a rather entitled fashion dare I say) you missed a point you yourself have mentioned.

They are a company, and therefore they are free to charge you for stuff. And I repeat myself: if, for paying 5 dollars a months in order to get a lot of content (which the "infomercials"-which this really wasn't as they were speaking of plenty other topics aside from the sculpt- are but a small part of), you feel there's something wrong, there's indeed something wrong but not on the place you think about.

Haha, I actually had a similar thought with chaos keeping the crust of the planet and putting people on it to build their civilizations without realizing their world is now like the Darkest Dungeon's world.

Darkest Dungeon Spoiler:
Spoiler:

That world is actually hollow and home to a slumbering old god known as "the heart of the world" which is mass of flesh, bones and eyes that resembles a heart with a human growingbout of it. When it finally awakens it will destroy the world and reclaim the flesh of man that originally came from it.

So same thing with the Old World but more of a world egg and their emotions are being used to feed the slumbering daemon.
