The advertisment for it
That rumor was posted on War of Sigmar and Bolter & Chainsword & Faeit
Atia
https://war-of-sigmar.herokuapp.com/bloggings/951
via a friendly raven
"First monthly white dwarf has the new Khârn in it (leaning forward charging).
Also a campaign type book with new rules for Chaos Space Marines. It's not a new Codex, but does have cool new rules.
Also included is the new Deathwatch Codex with Artemis Model and the new flyer for them. Looks like a mix between a tau and imperial flyer."
As always, take it with a tiny bit of salt but that one is usually pretty spot on =)
Atia added several hints on B&C (summarization, not quotes)
- The book features additional CSM formations
- New CSM psychic powers
With the Kharn model being mentioned in this back then in July for the first time now confirmed I'm confident all of this will turn out to be correct.
Edit: Found the discussion on B&C

No, I mean you can donate me yours and send it to me for free if it's so useless. :-D (A guy's gotta try) Or give it to my friends in Helsinki and they can bring it over.

If you subscribe to WD it should be because you're interested in GWs entire offering. There's really no point if you detest one of their biggest games and hope it gets as little coverage as possible. Back in the day I read every article about Blood Bowl, Epic, 40k, Man O War, Warhammer Quest, Gorkamorka, Necromunda, etc... Even though I'd never touched any game but WHFB. I didn't play those games but they intrigued me and I was happy to read about them and check out some great photos of the minis and terrain. I certainly didn't have any negative feelings towards them and if I had gotten a free mini from one I would've been stoked.

So let's see. I first pay for useless wd and then pay to ship model elsewhere and get nothing at all in return. Even if wd itself was interesting you realize it would be better for me to just throw model into trashbin? Even if you paid shipping it would STILL be better to trash it.

Exalted this. I was the same way. I let me sub lapse over the last few years, but I'm really tempted by this new one. Trying to decide if I should just buy the first few issues and then subscribe or just jump back in.
I'm a sucker for most things GW. I have managed to stay out of AoS mostly, but Silver Tower pulled me in, hopefully something really inspiring comes out to add to my High Elves when they reach that point.

Looking forward to the new Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit rules. Sadly not looking forward toward the price and if it's Forge World only, so be hard to buy then. Hopefully White Dwarf will let us know what is going on soon so I can plan to get back into LotR.

Hahaha even though I loved LOTR as it was the game my friends played the most, I used to find the WD's that had a heavy focus on LOTR to be the least exciting if I wasn't in the mood for the game.

Wish the US customers had the 3-month/6-month sub options.
I'd love to get at least the first 3 in my mailbox rather than hoping that my FLGS will set one aside for me.
$89 for a 12-month sub is a bit too much for me right now.
Ahh, well. Colour me excited anyhow. Loving the new rules for the boxed games.
Also excited to see what the future may hold for Space Hulk... Rules for Hybrids maybe?

Is there any info on where the new WD will be sold? Will it be in non gaming shops alongside other magazines like visions and the old monthly WD, or will it be mail order and GW/gaming stores only?

yep, pretty much my sentiment exactly, except that i am more into laser guns than swords and boards
the concept of wanting to throw a free mini in the trash, rather than stick it in a drawer, or give it to a friend, is completely baffling to me...

I must admit I don't understand why people find the website so problematic. White dwarf is (and always has been) in the books and digital section. Here is the link for the subscription.

a free mini is always a good thing...
Let's see...Put it in drawer to collect dust...Eeh I'm not that addicted to plastic. You do know you don't have to hoard things "just because it's free"? Have you ever seen houses that kind of attitude results in? I don't paint just for sake of painting and I sure as hell don't get models just to sit collecting dust and I have 0 use for that in game as I don't touch that trash AOS that has zero depth or tactical challenge or even fun so nothing I can use the model for.
Give to friends...Good idea except I don't have any friends who are interested in the AOS(no surprise. That ain't even game). So nobody to give it for free.
And it ain't worth selling because I can't get enough from it to make it WORTH selling. Let's see. It would cost about 3e to ship it inside finland(packing included). More obviously to to out of country. Then what profit for me? 5e? That's 8e total. More than WD costs so only IDIOT would buy it from me. And 5e profit...You know not everybody lives next to post office nor even have business there often. Unless buyer wants to wait for several months(quite likely) for me to have business in post office I would need to do detour which means I'm losing time. Time is money and 5e is pittances. It's more hassle than it's worth.
Free mini you have zero use is useless. Keeping it is NEGATIVE proposition as it would just clutter already too cluttered room. I should sell models away rather than get more. Especially when new model is absolutely USELESS. WHAT use unpainted plastic that won't ever see use in a game would have?

i like free stuff...
so, yeah, i will never understand your attitude, no matter how much you explain it...
it just doesn't make sense to me...
of course, i don't get the AoS anger either, since so many people have successfully played it, it must actually be a game, regardless of your claims to the contrary...
go ahead and chuck your free mini in the bin, but don't expect me to understand your anger...
