FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.

They can take my hot black coffee out of my hands when it goes tepid.

Hell, I'll toss it at them - I hate cold coffee.

and yet not everyone gets cancer, not even all smokers, surprise surprise which is why I theorize some have a cancer gene in their system and others do not, those with the gene will get cancer, those without will not (unless exposed to serious doses of radiation).

Strange. But not surprising.

Even breathing too much probably causes cancer.

With all due respect this is a bit over-the-top.

Being alive causes cancer.

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.

Reading the study it appears that this is only an issue for people who habitually drink hot beverages. It said that esophageal cancer caused by this mostly occurs in South-East Asia where drinking a lot hot beverages is a part of their lifestyle. Westerners should worry more about smoking giving them that kind of cancer than a Venti latte from Starbucks before work.

But of course a more accurate title stating "A diet high in very hot beverages may increase your risk for esophageal cancer" isn't going to get as many clicks as "Coffee gives you cancer".

TL;DR: the media sucks at reporting on science, especially science that has anything to do with cancer, and the supposed "link" is questionable at best. This is clickbait "journalism", nothing more.

And, as we established last time you made your absurd "I'm a smoker and I don't worry about cancer", you just don't understand how probability works.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

I think everyone should watch this video (or watch it again if you've already seen it):

After that, maybe just lock this pointless thread for being pointless.

So, with that revelation I feel this thread has exhausted the statistical and scientific reveals it has in store for us, and all we're going to do is keep making jokes.

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...
