It fell on my chair as I sat down, then I had to literally pry the broken hellblade out of my bumcheek with a pair of pliers.

I also stepped on a Kabalite Warrior once (wearing only socks). After that I decided the only armies I would continue with are ones without an excessive amount of spikes. Which is why my CSM are lacking in trophies.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

Suuuuure....

But seriously, that sounds painful.

Remembered another.
Broke a knuckle retracting a GW tape measure.
I didn't think it was broken, but it was agony for weeks after, and I still can't make a fist a year later without tucking that one in with my other fingers.

Worst thing I ever done was putting drill bits through my fingers. I've done that many times. I really should buy a vice/clamp or something similar.

Gee, leaving us hanging,, i'm still trying to think of where you stabbed yourself that would be "censored" lol. Hope you didn't try giving yourself a diy vasectomy.

I dropped my 6th ed rule book on a Librarian Dreadnaught. snapped and bent enough parts in it it wasn't worth fixing, I had stopped playing Blood Angles at this point, but it was still a model I really liked, I was going to paint it...eventually.

Shadowrun is the best game ever. It's the only thing I have ever played in which I have jumped out of a shot out van with a chainsaw to cut a flying drone in half before leveling a building with ANFO assisted by a troll, a dwarf, an elf, and a wizard.

Long time lurker, but this is too good not to share, and only proves that truth is stranger than fiction.....

A Couple years ago I decided to put some Khorne berserkers together. Khorne is my least favorite of the 4, but I had a bunch of World Eater bits, berserker bits, chain axes etc. and decided to make a squad of 8 for show. (Mind you, I don't play, I only do the modeling/painting side of the hobby).

Well, apparently the Blood God knows all too well who has and hasn't contributed enough blood, because I'm on my last model (#8), re-positioning, pinning, re-posing, basing, when my knife slips and I cut the ever loving out of my finger and instantly start bleeding like a stuck pig. I cut myself so good, and it started gushing blood so fast, that before I could set the model down I ended up bleeding all over the base and legs of my double chain axe zerker. (and here's how I know I've fully fallen to Chaos)

So there I am, sucking on my thumb, waiting for the bleeding to slow and looking for a band aid, when I notice the afore mentioned zerker standing there in my blood. Then depravity strikes.....that looks kind of cool, in a morbid sort of way of course, because I mean, it's real actual blood, but.....what if.......I use some blood on the other 7 zerkers too.....because, well.....Blood for the Blood God and all. So I did! I squeezed my thumb and bled all over the bases and legs of each model, and used a brush to kind of spread it around and "paint" lol.

When it was all said and done and they were all painted up, you couldn't tell there was real blood on there, but I knew, and Khorne knew too Oddly enough, I haven't put any more Khorne models together since then!

Not really the "worst" mishap ever, and I'd forgotten about it until I saw this thread, but it still makes me chuckle when I think about it. I'd post a few pics of the end product, but that squad was wiped out by an imperial class titan toddler awhile back. Serves 'em right for making me bleed my own blood! lol

I think the worst I've had so far is a inch cut on my stomach.

I was out in the garage with a new exacto blade cutting up Styrofoam to make hills. I was trimming the edges to make it more like rock and the processes was quite messy, I ended up with a ton of the Styrofoam balls ad off cuts on my shirt. I would usually wipe my shirt with my hand to get rid of the clingy bits, so in my absent mindedness I wiped my shirt with knife in hand, sliced my shirt and skin open, lucky I was leaning forwards so only the tip of the blade cut my skin. I have an inch scar right below my sternum now and a very wary approach to exacto blades.

I've been quite fortunate so far. The usual cuts and minor skin gluing adventures. I did try and strip the original metal Teclis with paint thinner in a Red Solo cup when I was 12. Bedroom carpet didn't appreciate that one.

The worst thing to befall my minis actually happened when I wasn't there. I had just gotten my brother and a friend down the street interested in Warhammer and my brother attempted taking my High Elves over to his house for a game.

Our dog at the time was one of those large endearing types who runs full tilt down the stairs barking her head off at anyone who comes to the door. So my brother puts my army on one of the steps in a Starter Set lid as he gets his shoes on.

A knock at the door...

Our southern summers can get very hot down here; it's not uncommon with the heat index to hit 110 F for a week or more.

So, friend of mine had just bought the newly-released LRBT model - the only available in our area for at least the next two weeks (this was the days before internet), and brings his army over for a game, along with the tank to show/gloat.

And forgets the LRBT sitting above the back seat of the car. When he remembers it two hours later, it is a melted ruin. Worse yet, he figures that if the heat melted it, he can use heat to shape it back and attempts to soften the plastic with a hair dryer on high. Which leads to a deathstrike missile-sized hole in the back of the tank.

It did make cool ruined terrain for the next few years.

Personally though, my worst mishap was making some telephone poles from dowels, using an xxacto knife, for my model railroad. Near about sliced the tip of my index finger off and scared me to death. Meat should not wiggle that while squirting blood out of it.

It never ends well

I suffered my first modelling injury a few weeks ago: a cut on my finger from a hobby knife. Luckily everything was okay, though I did say "Blood for the Blood God!" when it happened.

INSANE army lists still available!!!! Now being written in 8th edition format! I have Index Imperium 1, Index Imperium 2, Index Xenos 2, Codex Orks Codex Tyranids, Codex Blood Angels and Codex Space Marines!
PM me for an INSANE (100K+ points) if you desire.

I'll add what I can. So let me set the scene for everyone: I'm sitting at my desk, which is currently a mess of plastic and resin shavings and the gates from FW that I intend on turning into road blocks, etc. Its a mess. I'm putting together the Fire Raptor that my buddy bought for me in return for me building his Space Wolves. Super thankful, super happy, super do't have the heart to tell him that Fire Raptors on eBay tend not to be proper. To go with that, apparently its a kit from hell with warping and size differences and on and on. So I go to glue the sides to the bottom (no big deal, its sat in some hot water, all's well!), and I'm holding it and I feel my recently sun burned thigh start to burn with an unholy fire. I look down and see some of the glue dripping down from a gap I hadn't seen. Ok, no big deal, I'll just set this dow....nope. No I won't. So here I am. Hands stuck to Fire Raptor, legs getting glued to shorts, tears burning my eyes. Victory point achieved.

Long story short, that's the story as to how I got all those cool swirl patterns ALL OVER my Fire Raptor. Thanks!

While assembling my first warhound titan I wasn't paying attention and pinned/adhered one of the leg joints backwards...I didn't realize I made the mistake until the next day when it had dried and I had to VERY carefully pry them apart. I managed to do it through pins and epoxy without breaking too much...I was able to repair most of the damage with green stuff but it was definitely a gut wrenching moment to find out that the most expensive model I had ever purchased at the time was going to need surgery
