No... there's serious meltdowns on the left... Julia Ioffe tweets: Either Trump is fething his daughter or he's shirking neopotism laws. Which is worst?
Which she was promptly fired from Politico, then re-hired by The Atlantic. Kurt Eichenwald, of Newsweek, wrote that his sources telling him that Trump was likely institutionalize in a mental hospital, and goes on a twitter rant when challenged. Media jumped on a story about trump supporters harrassing a muslim girl's hajib, was recently arrested for filing false reports. And on... and on... The guy isn't President yet. You all thought the Bush Derangement Syndrome (BDS) or Obama Derangement Syndrome ( ODS)... wasn't really a thing. Just wait how epic the Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) will be.

Several reasons not to do so. Explosives and detonators take up volume and add weight which takes away from volume and weight you can allocate to sensors or fuel/batteries. It also requires a data link, and drones like this may not have a continuous data link. Even if it did, once captured there is no guarantee the link is not severed by the capturing party. It would also weaponize what in this case was probably a research drone, which is going to cause other issues.
Exactly. China grabbing this is an issue. But it is an issue that will be solved with words. It is possible that China grabbed it not knowing what it was at the time.
China is not going to want to piss off the international scientific community by appearing to interfere in their research in its neighbourhood, which not returning the drone would do, because it benefits from such research.

It’s to scare off the US Navy from challenging China’s invention of sovereignty in the South China Sea. That might have been why the Bowditch sent it's drone... they would obviously be interested in the surveyed aspects of these islands, especially in regard to their illegitimate creation. So China is basically saying "feth off" 'murrican! Obama is only going to give China a sternly written letter.... Who knows what Cheeto Jesus would do to Chyna...

The pilots were busy trying not to crash, and the 'back seaters' running the collection gear didn't get the chance to wipe everything, it was an emergency landing of a messed up aircraft.

It's a continuation of their "this is our AOR" game that they've been playing the last 5 years. China has been stepping up the provocation with us in that region for a while now. It's not all Trump's fault.

Weren't people just arguing that people voted for Trump precisely due to them feeling hopeless and that nobody in the political status quo was on their side? If Trump doesn't make good on his promises, and there is a pretty big chance of that happening, then a time of hopelessness is quite likely.

#ThisIsWhyTrumpWon
You keep throwing that out there to somehow justify Trump winning the presidency, but is that also how you explain Trump winning the Republican nomination before that? You also like to claim Trump won the presidency because Hillary was "that bad", but that equally doesn't explain how he won the Republican nomination.
At what point does the responsibility fall on the actual voters for their own choices?

In a new interview with Oprah Winfrey, the first lady addressed the election outcome and suggested that the U.S. is entering a time of hopelessness.
I shouldn't be surprised. This is the woman who said President Obama's election was the first time in her adult life she was proud of her country.
You don't think, that as a woman of colour, the tacit endorsement by a plurality of states of a racist and sexist bully to the highest office in the land would make things seem hopeless?

Comes back to the whole "Deplorables" comment. Not all Trump voters are Deplorables, but damn did a bunch come out of the woodwork.

What does that even mean?
I said "as a woman of colour". Her experiences and views will be different than Breotan's because Breotan is not, afaik, a woman of colour.
It may not be "brazen fething arrogance", but lived experience that would cause the First Lady to worry the future will be hopeless.
