So I finally got around to opening up my DS pledge, and I was looking through the Adventurer's Companion. I noticed that it gives you the option to use the other races as enemies, but from what I could tell, there's not really any guidelines on how to use them. I really want to make some dungeons and rules up for some of the extra minis I have, as well as some of their larger figures.

If anyone could help me out with this I'd really appreciate it!

Well... what do you mean by guidelines? How many of a specific type youd need for a dungeon?

Did the latest update just say that Mantic is finally releasing the adventure books? And a novel, too?

Any chance for a printed version?

That, how to determine how many to use for a dungeon of certain sizes, things like that

Well, youve got two choices:
1) use uncharted dungeons - follow the steps listed there.
2) design your own dungeon - which basically means, design a layout, add denizens, and playtest...

I think it was one of the major criticisms when the AC came out, besides the page XXX thing.

Oh gotcha. I figured the second thing was okay, I just wasn't sure how the enemy levels and such played into creating a dungeon.

And yeah, I noticed the "Page XXX" thing too, it really seems like the AC was pretty rushed...

The uncharted and design-your-own dungeons sections are really the weakest offerings from the entire game line. I think Jake Thornton really dropped the ball there, and I wish the current rules-committee system had been in place before this book got approved and sent out.

I was hoping for a book that would open the game up for overlords in an original Warhammer Quest style, and I have to admit that I was rather disappointed.

Youve still got one with Page XXX? Did you get it retail or during the KS? If retail, you might be able to get it replaced (there are also some UD and Bestiary updates in the newer version). If KS... might be more difficult. Still, might be worth sending them an email.
