Buttery Commissar, thanks for the comment and as requested more painted Sisters and tank.

Ah, the good ol' melta-flamer combo! I do like the Rhinos a lot, especially the purity seals.

I've also just noticed that you've painted the lipstick! I never dare to do that on figures. Congrats and hats off!

Thanks Gen.Steiner.

Wow, thanks! I'm glad someone finds them worth the effort. Let me know if you're on the hunt for more old school Rhinos, I'll have a couple to sell once I build their replacements.

MacPhail, thanks and the Battle Reports are worth it. Always interested in old Mark I Rhinos, just don't let Mrs. Captain Brown know.

 Dysartes wrote:
Ah, cool - only reason I was asking was that I couldn't see any in the two army shots you posted earlier.

Dysartes, you are correct in that those old crazy units are not in the photos, as when I did that one the list had changed again and they were removed, but I will post some photos for you after I have completed the Force Organization.

And now the forth Sister’s Squad (completing the Troops Section):

Thanks evildrcheese,

Now that we have worked through Troop choices it is over to Fast Attack. First one is the lead squad of Seraphim who normally escort the Living Saint:

A fairly standard squad of 10 models with two armed with a pair of Hand Flamers and the Sister Superior. One conversion I am particularly proud of is in the back rank, a Seraphim Superior converted into a regular Seraphim (although if I field only one squad and don't want the Sister Superior to have a Plasma Pistol and Power Sword I can swap this model in).

Here she is a three times normal size:

She is the legacy of having obtained at least five or six Seraphim Superiors when making low bid eBay actions...some have been traded away and others converted as at least one lacked a jetpack.

Thank you for the feedback.

Thanks Gen.Steiner,

Second Fast Attack Choice is another Seraphim Squad. It was interesting to note how many Seraphim I picked up over the years with a few here and a few there in almost every Sister's lot I won on eBay. As previously mentioned I had 6 Sister Seraphim Superiors at one point, but the one with a helmet was traded as part of the deal for the Living Saint and another was converted to be on foot with a Bolt Pistol and Chain Sword (in the Command Squad right now) as it was missing the Seraphim backpack.

Seraphim Squad number two:

Nice work on the Seraphim squads. Well done on not breaking the stands connecting the feet to the base. I'm having to rebase all of mine with extra scenic stuff to cover the past breakages.

You're really churning these out, keep up the amazing work (and pace!).

So many Seraphim... so many! A quick note on the bases; I like the grass tufts a lot, and then I saw that you've also picked out larger bits of gravel in grey. Does that take a long time to do?

Thanks evildrcheese, although there are three Seraphim with brass pins instead of their regular bases scattered among the two squads.

Thanks Gen.Steiner. Yes, it does take some time, so I don’t usually bother any longer. Although it does add some more detail to the base.

Thanks Cap'n Facebeard, dracpanzer and Mr Morden appreciate the feedback.

Now the last Fast Attack Choice the Dominion Squad:

With four Melta Guns and a Sister Superior with a Combi-Melta…one of the Melta Sisters is a conversion of a Heavy Bolter Sister that I received in an auction who was missing her Heavy Bolter…so a little work with a Marine Melta Gun, a Guardsman hand and now I have four Melta Gun in this squad.

evildrcheese,

I am slowly posting up the completed models as I try to finish off the last dozen, my painting speed used to be about four to six models a week, so no magic I am afraid. No it is even slower.

Thanks to Cap’n Facebeard for your post as well.

Now the Elite section of the Sisters of Battle list, it was always a wasteland with very few choices. I ended up with seven Repentia, no Mistress of Repentence in an eBay lot (I guess the others were used for something else). So this Elite Unit looks like this with a Necromunda Escher standing in with whips to drive the Repentia forward.

I do like that converted Simulacrum Imperialis, and the Rhino's lovely.

The Repentia figures are quite... Marmitey. Either you love 'em or you hate 'em. I enjoyed painting mine up, although I do only have three at the moment! Could we see a close-up of the Escher conversion please, Captain?

The tactics section has a thread regarding Sisters. In there I stumbled upon some useful tips of how to use a T3 assault unit. The key is a priest with the relic that allows for auto-passing hymns and then a Canonness with the eternal warrior relic. You use the Canonness to tank wounds with the re-roll and then use the repentia to pummel people with eviscerators. You also use a rhino to block line of sight to them as you walk forward behind it.

I gave that tactic a shot and had some good results. Took down a necron lord with a unit of lynchguard thanks to doing enough damage to win combat and then sweeping the metallic cowards. Not the easiest unit to use, but could have good results.

But.. but... a Canoness in the same unit as the Repentia?! The shame!

As requested, it has been a stopgap and since I tend not to field the Repentia very rarely seen on the battlefield.

Now the start of the Heavy Support section. A unit of Retributors:

Four Heavy Bolters, which are not quite as dependable or deadly as they were in the previous WD Codex.

But it really is a lotta dakka, which is ... appropriate for this forum!

The converted Simulacrum is really ace, I love the box o' bones look.

Amusingly you've picked the same Sister Superior as I have for that squad - must be something about the pose!

Thanks Gen.Steiner, that is exactly what the Simulacrum conversion was supposed to look like, the bones of a saint or priest looking over and inspiring the Sisters.

Now the next Heavy Support Choice are my converted Exorcists. These were constructed long before any model existed (even the early Forge World one).

First one:

To give it the look of the heavier front and side armour I used some old lead Rhino Extra Armour parts. The turret and front upper hatch came from the Whirlwind kit with an Immolator Gunner set between the missiles. I removed the Heavy Flamers and replaced them with purity seals to make the operator more appropriate.

Some close-up's:

It made for a little rear heavy model, so I ended up adding some weight at the forward end.

Thank you Gen.Steiner, Cap'n Facebeard, and Inevitable_Faith for the kind words. I started with the purity seal to cover up scars and damage as the Rhinos were both recycled from eBay and the first Exorcist turret conversion did not go as well as I hoped...but I learned for the second.

Gen.Steiner wrote:That reminds me, I don't think I actually took a picture of my own Exorcist for my plog... must do that today.

I'll go check it out.

In the meantime the second Exorcist:

Some more of the detail photos:

Then the backs of the Exorcists, they had been built up with the rear hatch and rear door to bulk the tanks. A neat Idea from another member of the forums.

Thank you for all the posts and comments. More to come as I show the remaining odds and ends and perhaps so old style Inquisition madness.

Presently working on two more Immolators.

Oh, I love the built up rears! It looks like a proper exit/entrance hatch, and really works to counter the hefty rocket pods too.

Excellent conversions. Looking forwards to the odds, ends, and Inquisitors.
