Some cool entries starting to come together. Looks like another great month for painting! As for my entry, progress has been made on the first of my three Chaos Sorcerers:

All the major colors are in place on the bike, so all I need to do on it are the details, then the shades and highlights. The gold trim will need to get some Gehenna's Gold love to make it bright enough to be worthy of the Black Legion! For the force axe, I'm hoping to make it look like it's glowing with baleful energy or something. I'll research how I can achieve that effect.

I'd love to try one of these out. Would a Glottkin into Imperial Knight conversion count? It's the magic version of a big stompy robot...plus he's got a church on his back.

well, it's a daemon, anything daemonic is kinda "magical" right?...I dunno, it does kinda fit the theme in my opinion, but I'd wait for Paradigm's verdict first

it sounds like it'll be pretty cool though, and I'd definitely like to see it done if/when you do it, either way!

*actually, come to think of it, my entry is pretty outlandish (ork "goff rockers" on a mobile stage/tour van, bringing "da magik ov rokk!") - hey Para, am I good to go on mine mate? - I don't mind if it's a bit too far off-field as an entry for this theme, I'm still building/painting it for fun either way

I spent a while trying to think of something interesting to do for this one but inspiration didn't hit so I thought I best just get on with something, especially since i want to enter something into the Slaughter-priest challenge. I ended up buying a generic librarian and changing around a few bits.

Both fine. The demon is inherently magical and thus suitable, and the Goff Rokkas get in on two counts: One, I'd have to be a cruel man to name the challenge after a song and rule out a musical entry, and Two: They're totally smegging awesome and I want to see them done!

Starting to get some paint on my Dark Apostle, it's a bit messy fo now but hopefully will turn out good. Idk how I feel about that left knee tho, well we'll see once it's painted.

And I'm definetely looking forward to seeing all the other great models painted, favorite has to be the ork band, the idea is just to great!

@KustomerD: What are the flames made of? Acrylic medium? Clear silicone? Hot glue?

looks like just a scenic base, you can see the 25mm(? 32mm?) base under the "topping"...it's a bit of an overhang, but it would be easy enough to still measure from the base edge if the need arises...and yeah, my money's on hot glue too

Yes, it's hot glue and just a scenic base. If I ever send him to battle, I might have some trouble with the measuring ... so what?! I just liked the idea
