So instead of reconning the entire previous one, are they just reenacting it and focusing more on parts of it. Kinda like they did with the horus herecy.

And if yes what would we expect there to happen in the near future. I for one are ready for the revival of the green crusade and numerous ork mercenary formations and detachments

There will be almost 100% Black Legion vs AdMech battle. They're rewriting it, but it might be for the best really. I hope the fluff will be improved and that CSM recieve a lot of new and cool goodies.

Battlefleet Gothic will make a reappearance, and they'll have brought Eldrad out in plastic only to kill him off again.

Well seeing as how this is the like what....3rd time the 13th black crusade has launched? Sure why not.

I would say yes, as it's the perfect time to enact the Sigmafacation of 40K. "The End Times of Humanity" and the return of the Gawd Awful Emperor of Mankind.

Nothing [major] so far has been in direct contradiction to the events of the Black Crusade (Death Masque has no associated date, and could reasonably be set prior to Eldrad's death by Blackstone above Cadia; Traitor's Hate is explicitly outside of the events of the Crusade previously detailed).

The timeline is all very compacted (which has been a problem for a decade or so), but GW could easily have the major events of the Eye of Terror campaign unfold as they already have following the current campaign boxes/supplements.

40k is better off if the silly idea of "end games" or "end times" dies ASAP. Preferable by uncountable amounts of Promethium..

Perhaps they'll reenact it in the same way they re-enacted storm of chaos for fantasy battle?

I can only hope this will be the final 13th crusade that ends in the complete apocalypse of the universe and the rebirth of a balanced version of this game.

Long live 8th edition.

I truly believe this is going to be an ongoing campaign from GW. It is not the "End Times" of 40k. It is just going to go on for pretty much ever I bet.

The 13th Black crusade is SO huge - it spans multiple systems and there are thousands of stories to be told and battles to be waged during it.

There is allegedly a global campaign next year. It will feature all the races getting to do stuff. I would say the situation is more dire than the simple black crusade because at the same time every xenos race is going to make its move while the IoM is on the back foot. If the rumors are to be believed.
