Hmh. Shouldn't Custodes be bare-chested? Or is that only for guard duty, not war? They look a wee bit overblinged, anyway. SoS might be great, but they're NOT SoB :/ SW dude seems to be a fantastic model though, similiar to the metal Logan Grimnar and that was my favourite Termi for a long time (until SH Mephiston, probably, or still is). Might have to bits buy him if the sisters are meh, I'm indifferent about Mk3 armour.

PS: Please GW, make the Warhammer world into a historical setting for specialist games or whatever, but using TW:Warhammer to rub salt into the wound is cruel.

Don't look bulky enough and don't seem to match the colours of the Lightning claw Wolf in the front and the part Wolf behind the Grombrindal freebie. Might be because they're in shadow but I don't think the professional pictures would include that degree of darkness. The legs look different and the silhouette doesn't match a marine one.

As far as I'm aware the bare chest is based on the only official Custodes miniature released. The Imperial bodyguard from the first Rogue Trader releases.

I was hoping for different unit types, not just armor marks. If it has breachers, assault marines, etc, that would be an easy buy. I may be alone in not caring about sisters, custodes, etc. Legion specific characters are another mark against the box. While I’d not mind painting them, they don’t fit my army.

I could use 100% of the BaC box. So its value was amazing. Depending how many basic marines/terminators are in this one, I might only care about 2/3s of it, so it’s not that big a deal. I’d love to be wrong. as I’ve had a small chunk of change set aside waiting for this.

That's a bit silly complaining about the lack of special units and about the box including not just generic marines at the same time..

While that would be much better for you, If it fitted your needs exactly, most people would complain, that just power armor gets some love. AGAIN.

Its much more difficult to acquire Sisters of Silence and Custodes, than shields and jump packs. Plus it does have Tartaros.

Would be awesome if the Mk3 came with an autocannon. Probably won't though since those can't be used in 40k.

They can for CSM, which is precisely why they won't have them in the box.


These Custodes look amazing. I honestly had no plans to get this box and one look at those blurry Custodes and I'm already sold.

People looking at this box as a legion building tool are probably going to be fairly common. I think that’s one of the reasons BaC was so popular. The more “other stuff” they cram in here reduces that, and thus the overall popularity of the box.

But if I just want to add more era appropriate marines to my force, why this over BaC? I’ve got a ton of basic infantry as it is. And if I don’t care about mixing in a little mk. 7, way more then I need. What I was hoping for was a box that would deliver more legion stuff that wasn’t previously available. The terminators have different rules then the capheract ones. But besides that, from a game mechanics POV, there is no “hook” to get me to buy this.

At least as a mono-legion player playing someing other then 1kSons or SW. The allied forces of custodios and sisters are great for those who want them. But that’s not me.

The picture is far to blurry anyway. I just hope that the SoS are actually decent. Also that you get a helmet head for the Custodes leader.

If non-leakage was really important to him he wouldn't have leaked it to his mate in the first place.

My excitement levels are dangerously high seeing this. My favourite armour mark in plastic, Tartaros termies, and I didn't know how much I wanted some Custodes until now!

Also if the WD is giving 30% off the game (I think that's what the text says) and a free lord I'll definitely be buying the magazine and the game. November is looking very expensive...

The free gift is very disappointing. We go from model, to comic book, to a digital character. What'should December going to have, a rub-on tattoo?

It looks like this game won't be as useful as Calth. The shoulder pauldrons look molded. Disappointing, but I can't bring myself to start a new army now anyway. I would have loved to use these as 30K Imperial Fists. Oh well.

They don't look moulded to me, probably transfers again.

Besides the Custodes, I am pretty much 100% certain that the pauldrons will be plain and not sculpted.

So are my eyes deceiving me or does the gift also include a 30% discount on the game? If so that's actually a pretty good gift.
