I don't know if anyone watches the videos that warhammer TV posts on facebook. But they just said that plastic sisters "won't be out for a couple of months" before the video cut out so...

I think we'll see Plastic Sisters, Eldar Exodites, and Kroot all very "soon" in GW time. They got nothing else to update/create and they've been on a creative streak now. I would like a completely new Xenos race, but Kroot will more than suffice. There is at least as much demand for Kroot as there is Sisters.

Fishmen. GW could always bring them back. And they did exist in RT.

Honestly you can do cool aquatic badguy aliens well when done right. Look at the Morgrawr from Endles Legend who are very much aquatic fish men (sort of).

I think we will see a Xenos army after this yes. Could be Kroot or Demiurg, or maybe a combined Tau auxiliaries codex.

If it's a combined Tau auxillaries codex!??! Oh yess please. Cool new Kroot models, Vespid models, a new xenos model or two for the newly integrated, Demiurg mini line, and even a few Gue'vesa sprues. If Space Marines get every chapter of their army with new stuff there is nor reason the Tau shouldn't at least get an auxiliaries book from a fluff point.

A Gue'seva sprue in the vein of the sprue of the genestealer cult sprue for making cult infiltrated guardsmen would easy.
Gamgee wrote:

Demiurge I think are the least likely... When GW developed the Tau they originally developed the Demiurge and Kroot in parallel with the original plan to get all three to a certain point and select the best concept and complete it more thoroughly. All three were originally developed to be stand alone armies but somewhere in the indecision it was decided to just merge all three concepts into one. The Kroot would have looked like their Mercenary list. Demiurge in gnostic myth is used to refer to the creator of life and the universe in as an artisan or craftsman... Had they remained their own army... they are where the concept for crisis suits and drones came from. While the Fire warriors, stealth suits, pathfinders, and vehicles (sans drones) were the "Tau".
If the Demiurge are ever done it's more of a back to the drawing board effort than the Kroot or Exodite who in their present states don't rehash. I think between the Kroot and Exodite there is too strong of a similar theme of aliens riding beasts and stealthy mid-ranged troops... they're bordering on mutually exclusive or similar enough that GW would want to put some time between releasing each.
I'd like to see Demiurge, I think they could present the opportunity to do something closely associated or allied to the Tau that play along the lines of close combat crisis suits.

I have a feeling we'll get a minor fluff reboot on the Kroot to make them diverse. I can't see them releasing them as the ones we know now. I've posted cool ideas on what I would like to see, but that is ultimately just fan ideas. I hope they take them in a more techno barbarian route like the Predator alien with cloaking, high tech melee, and shoulder mounted plasma guns ect. Basically the Predator ripoff which I'm surprised isn't in the game.
This would allow the Exodites to have the dinosaur riding theme going on and give them their unique model niche.
Demiurg would need the most work, but I feel the battlefleet gothic video game and tabletop game did most of the work. The trailer ended with some badass Demiurg Enclaves ships and they looked and sounded so cool.
I think the Demiurg should share some similarities with the Tau they are ally races for a reason. I would like to see the Demiurg use larger bulkier "mining" drones for combat which are very different from the sleek and small Tau discs. They would have a propensity for potent ranged weapons too (they did invent the Ion Cannon after all). Not as good shooting as the Tau, but more indirect fire. They would be slower than the Tau but more able to make gunlines or melee charges. Even cool drone mining tanks with a large mining drill and ion cannon digging tool.
A heavy theme on futuristic space miners and cut throat Demiurg politics. A good example of more interesting dwarves from a lore stand point is the back stabbing politics of Dragon Age Origins. They actually stand out in my mind for being so unique because of their culture from other generic dwarves in games. So I would look there for inspiration.

I think the distinction between Kroot and Exodite might work best as hunting beastmasters unleashing dogs and using pack miles as opposed to beast riders that act like Knights.
Kroot in the fiction already gain access to exotic weapons through their dealing with different races. I think it'd be easy to make the most veteran Kroot take on that more Predator vibe.

I agree. Kroot are lower on the socio-tech scale compared to Exodites. Beastmen vs Wood Elves.
Of course, if IG got back their abhumans as Beastmen and Squat conscripts, that would be great!

If Space Marines can have 8 million codices I'm sure two armies can have beasts in them and not look totally the same. Haha.

Like I said, in the least I think GW would try to distinguish them and put some time between the two releases.

I like abhumans and rough riders as I think they make IG feel more like a galactic force, particularly now that we're left mostly only with Cadian models from GW it feels like they're moving away from this and would almost rather forget about all but Ogryn.

GW has been moving away from the non-Guardsmen for a long time. First the Squats & Beastmen, then the Halflings (& Rough Riders). And oh, how awful the Ogryn sculpts are... Plus, all of them are pretty crap on the battlefield. Is it too much to ask that IG would have all of them (including Psykers) at an acceptable level?

I'd love to see a sister's codex, but they've had 20ish years to do so, why do it now?
Personally, I might buy in to a rak'gol release.

I don't think the plastic ogyrns are bad...but their rules suck. I got ideas on how to fix them but that's for another thread.
They better not get rid of the ogyrns and ratlings though. They're what help make 40k and the imperium what they are.
