There was another another hint from GW that also could have been read similarly, but I can't remember what and where it was.

Return to Castle Drakenfels? I believe he did show back up in the End Times books.

I hope next months White Dwarf includes the Dataslate for the Heamotrope Reactors. They look okay, but I'd like to have a clue what they do before ordering them.

I hope so too. Though I would put money on GW making you buy the new book to get the rules for them.

I'd like to believe it will be in the Planetary Onslaught book.

That is the book I was referencing, but I couldn't remember the name. I am 100% positive it will be in that book. If it was in White Dwarf or included in the box like the storage containers, it would be better though.

Buying that Planetary Onslaught book this close to a rumoured 8th Ed is a mug's game.

Made that mistake with the last Escalation/Strongpoint Assault books. Not doing it again.

Eh, those books had rules that 7th didn't have, like the Terrain and Unit Datasheets, as will this new book.

Plus it is going to contain updated versions of the Cities of Death and Planetary Assault expansions.

Unless 8th truly is an AoS level of rules upheaval (something I very much doubt), the book will still be very useful. Even more so than Stronghold Assault.

So does that GK sanctioned Sororitas grinder/reactor have any rules? I've seen nothing about it having any rules, all I've seen is the text saying it goes well with pipelines, void shield and plasma obliterator.

You can plug in one weapon per reactor.

For every guardsman or sister killed within 6" that weapon gains +1 strength.

I really hope that's the actual rule, because that sounds hilarious.

Hybrid Acolytes are totally broken in Receipthammer 40,000.*

Sweet! I wish they would have them in PDF form on the website as well, but in the box is good for me.

I dont know if this has been said, but i looked in the new WD today and the next month hints said blood bowl and "after prospero". So whatever release they had planned with magnus has pretty much been confirmed with this.

This was mentioned earlier but it is good to get confirmation.
Given that Magnus is well and truly out of the bag, I wonder if they will talk about him at the open day next weekend.

When I read the new WD my impression was different. I think 'After Prospero' will be the Inferno preview and also the Sisters of Silence 30k rules. Financially it would not make sense to release Magnus and those 40k Thousand Sons immediately after BoP. People's wallets are empty. There is a big fluff article about Dark Eldar in the new WD. The 'After Prospero' article could be a similiar feature. I expect Thousand Sons to be released in December, shown on the cover of the January White Dwarf, and Blood Bowl to be on the next one.

Isn't inferno set on Prospero? I think that GW thinks their 30k and 40k audiences are different. It is possible that Magnus will come first as a precursor to Fenris part 2 and the thousand sons.

This will be in the Inferno book according to FW

Source: Battle Bunnies blog

Info from the seminar:
New stories from Black Library soon for Space Wolves.

Gav Thorpe is working on audio called The 13th Wolf. Different side of Prospero Burns this time.

Chris Wraight working on book on Leman Russ and Space Wolves during the Heresy. Involving one or maybe more Primarchs. Including some hes not got on with......

Graham McNeill is nearly done with Crimson King! Also working on more Magnus based stories.

Russ will get an axe and a sword.

Custodians are their own elite force, not like Space Marines 2.0! The Emperor saved the Custodes the best toys so look forward to heavy master weaponry. It's a highly lethal mobile force. They were designed to kill Space Marines if something goes wrong. 100% loyal to the Emperor, even beyond free will.

Playtest - 5 Custodians against 20 Tactical Marines, none of the Tacs were alive to fight back in combat!!! Not the full rules im sure - again, it's still playtesting.

Custodes will not have Rhinos and Land Raiders they will have their own vehicle types though and no heavy support but they will have an equivalent

Rules will come for Spireguard, possibly not models though. Might be a variant to the Solar Auxilia models.

Space Wolf Characters unconfirmed apart from Leman Russ, Freki and Geri.

Thousand Sons have a plan in their playstyle, not fully confirmed, still playtesting, be less of them, not usually in attritional warfare. Possibility of picking your option for Psyker-yness, that may improve equipment/weapons.

Tutilaries/Familiars will have above listing type (equipment/weapons).

Sisters of Silence will be a small allies list - not a "full force".

Sisters of Silence almost like Assassins hunting down all psykers.

During Heresy there will be limitation on unit types (they did not have access to certain things around this time) for Space Wolves, as their way of war gives them limitation to certain things. BUT! Space Wolves will have their own bespoke consuls and unit types!

Possible stories furthering the Thousand Sons that weren't on Prospero.

Space Wolves attack Arkhadia (Mechanicum world) - part of the campaigns in Inferno. This Mechanicum planet is targeted as he is associating with Magnus.

Arkhadine Mechanicum will have their own unique weapon and unit types, thanks to the help from Thousand Sons. This Cybernetica based Forgeworld will have its own Titan legion and it will have technology encouraged by the psychic aspects of the thousand sons. Which is why there will be multiple Titan Legion rules as there will be Legions sent to deal with them in Inferno.

Legio Mortis and a new type of Titan Legio (for Arcadia) but thats secret for now.

The seminar is over - what do you guys think so far about Inferno? Write in the comments below!

Regards,
Darko Thane, Lady Atia and the other Battle Bunnies!

Not yet. My educated guess is they will start with SM and Tau, traditionally Christmas time Megaforces were SM and last year's xeno release.

My guess is that Strike Force Ultima is the premium start collecting box for Space Marines. It's the next step up from the small force presented in the first box. Couldn't really be seen as an add on though because they have the same captain model.

I doubt that.

The Start Collecting sets have been unique in that they include a formation found nowhere else...and they're labeled "Start Collecting" I don't think GW would do "Start Collecting" add-on sets that are formations within the actual Codices but instead would do something complimentary to the initial formation.

The strike for Ultima box had it's own unique formation, the strike force ULTRA<- is the one in the codex. Since the box has a stormhawk in it it couldn't have been out of the codex.

As above, Strike Force Ultima isn't actually in any GW publications. It's unique to the boxed set.

The SFU box is basically a start collecting box on steroids. That's essentially what we are talking about with these next set of boxes that are being rumoured here. I won't be surprised to see similar bundles of Tau, Eldar, Necrons and Guard etc at some point.

Ultra, Ultima they all start running together...

My point still remains:
They've gone out of their way to brand things as "Start Collecting" or "Expansion" sets before. The fact that Strike Force Ultima lacks that suggests such is not the case.

Could it be that it's going to be touted as such later? Maybe. But they've been very good about showcasing things intended to be starter products lately.

In response to the above; I wouldn't be at all surprised to see another SM start collecting or that one get rebranded still. My guess is that they'll do 4-8 boxes for sigmar and 4-8 for 40k, depending on how long they plan to keep these boxes on sale for. Definitely think a few factions are getting left out in the cold though (cough elves/dark eldar cough)
