He's a new character as far as I'm aware.
I'm going to assume that Bjorn earns his title after his death.
Perhaps Bjorn recovers his lightening claw and uses it for himself, with bionics, to replace his lost arm.

there is no lore. His lore in the box is:
Once upon a time, he was fighting along side the Thousand Sons.
Magnus was 100% sure The Space Wolves would win, so withdrew his Thousand Sons.
Shortly after, an ork flier kills all of Greigor's Squad mates (even though the battle was a resounding success for the Space Wolves and Thousand Sons), and Greigor blames the Thousand Sons for being #rude.
He then gets really excited to sanction some Thousand Sons 'cause grudges and the fact that 30k space wolves tended to be -holes.
any questions

Unless I've severely misread the one-page of fluff on the guy in the box set, but yup, that's basically it.

Bjorn shares his surname, so I'm not sure how that works, as well as his own lightning claw resembling Bjorn's to the letter pretty much.

Unless the lore in the set states that he later changed his name to Bjorn, my headcanon will be that it is Bjorn.

Bjorn was already named Bjorn way before Prospero. Bjorn before prospero was still a "random" astarte, and still haven't had his hand severed since he lost it on Prospero. So there are conclusive evidences that Bjorn and Geigor are not the same character. I get the idea of headcannon, but I don't get the the voluntary ignoring of (recent) written facts. Or perhaps there are things that I misunderstood in your post, in which case I apologize.

Bjorn One-Handed (as he had become known) 'acquired' a claw from the armoury that belonged to another - unnamed - warrior in the story Wolf's Claw, some time after Prospero when the Space Wolves were engaged in a protracted engagement with the Alpha Legion. Geigor is presumably the unnamed warrior.

Anyone know why they just did not make it Bjorn? I mean he was there during the burning so there is no reason he could not have been the box guy right?

Bjorn was a nobody in-universe, he was not even a squad leader IIRC. You can't just make him the leader of the SW forces in the Burning of Prospero box, so they decided to create a new character.

Yeah but using the argument of he was a nobody is not a very good one considering this guy came outta no where as well. At least bjorn is a known character now. There was no reason for them NOT to make it bjorn. and besides bjorn was a wolfs guard and on top of that he basically made his name during the burning of prospro, like bjorn was a big deal lol

Bjorn became a Wolf Guard AFTER Prospero, during the Heresy. Yes Geigor came out of nowhere, but because he came out of nowhere TO US, he could be anything in-universe and therefore could lead a battleforce. Which Bjorn couldn't since he was just a random battle-brother that we happened to know about.

Bjorn also didn't become the Fell-handed until after Prospero. It's perhaps small, but it'd make an awkward retcon considering the talk he has with Leman after prospero

My thing is there is no real reason for them not to make it bjorn, they very easily could have made it him in a very non shoe horn way.

Didn't he beaome fell handed after prospero in fight with khorne daemon? He has no logical reason to lead sw force in prospero game without heavy retconning

To those saying it should have been Bjorn.. Should it have been Bjorn with a claw or Bjorn with a sword?

I would have been happy with Bjorn with the sword.
I just would have rather seen a named character get some more story vs a guy that shows up, then buggers off.

first, For clarification: It doesn't say it's bjorn in the box, which is lame
second, I wish they used Wyrdmake. He was a big player in both TS books, and would have been perfect for this to play along with the psyker shenanigans. Them using this guy, and the super flimsy plot he has just reeks of laziness. Of course, maybe I'm just bitter that we;re probably not getting a fancy resin Ahriman because of this :(

compared to what FW COULD have put out for him? Epic scenic base and better, crisper detail? I kinda agree with Jareddm, there are plenty of other TS characters mentioned in the fluff that they could have used.

Bjorn is nobody yet. He's basically a 3rd rate Grey Hunter, or whatever, at time this boxed game takes place. Just name one of the throw away, single wound Tactical Marines Bjorn.
