Mad Eye looks sick! Now the question is, in which direction do you have his magical eye gazing?

Seriously?

Are you referring to poor cast quality or the sculpts?

I would definitely put them in the top tier of the market, some of the sculpts are absolutely stunning. I've collected them with no interest in playing the game, just to paint.

Oh my, HP Zombicide? I hadn't even considered that - that sounds pretty damn fun actually! (So would Batman Zombicide, for that matter!)

Huh, that first figure is pretty cool. If they release it in a box set like the suicide box, I could see buying in.

I don't think the hp minis will fit zombicide. All knight models minis are 32 mm. Zombicide is 28mm heroic. There is a big size difference, but the idea is neat.

I was hoping they would make a star wars or lotr skirmish game too, they made several 32mm lines with awesome minis.

A slight scale discrepancy would be more than compensated for the potential for Ron Weasley to be surrounded by a pack of fatties..

There actually isn't a big size difference between Zombicide miniature and Knight Model miniatures. When you get into that range 28mm heroic can equal 32mm. The heroic though tends to refer to more "exaggerated" proportions which Zombicide does not utilize.

I don't have Zombicide 1, but I do have Season 2 and the walker zombies are 31mm from base of the feet to the eyes. The players range from 30-32mm to eye level. They aren't a heroic scale but more of a truer scale in proportions than what would be normally known as 28mm heroic. Black Plauge they properly identify them as 32mm miniatures as well. I think Zombicide being labeled 28mm heroic was more in lines with lack of defining the scale properly as well as at that time that was more the 'norm'. More and more things are moving to 32mm to even 35mm becoming a norm especially for board game miniatures. However the real test is the body proportions which isn't too bad for Knight Models... I just wish they'd improve their casting of them.

A very nice model but it doesn't seem to resemble HBC's brand of crazy.

While I could have been excited about this...Knight Models are expensive for the quality you get. That being said I'd consider picking up the rules and making my own stuff.

I'm hesitant to be excited as well. I don't need another KM tabletop game.

That said, if this is a board game, dungeon crawler, or the like, with a very low model count, I might be interested.

Gotta agree. Its technically a nice sculpt, but I don't think it captures the character near as well as the previous Mad Eye Moody figure.

Her right arm looks very very strange - is it the angle or does the character have a weird arm?

Her arm is mostly obscured by hair. Her hand is just above her hair with the odd crook that I think you are seeing being her wand:

You would think the day she walked into her first class with that wand, the teacher would just take one look and say "Oh, no! You are obviously evil. I'm not teaching you anything!"

Ah, but you forget, this is the school that literally establishes who is evil on their first day, then puts them in the same House so they can all be evil together!

That model is technically very good, but yeah, it doesn't quite capture the character like Mad-Eye does (though to be fair, he's one of the best sculpts I've seen in a long time), I think out of context it'd be easy to mistake for just a generic Fantasy Witch from Reaper or whoever... Might change with some paint on it, though.

Both my Harry Potter mad female friends thought she looks far too normal and not mad enough.

Another excellent sculpt there. Can't wait to paint some of these.

Given that we've seen Mad-Eye and Sirius now, I suspect one of the first team sets will be The Order of the Phoenix. In which case, I'm going to guess Lupin and Tonks for the other two (assuming they stick to the standard 4-model setup of the Batman and Marvel starters).

Then presumably a set of Death Eaters for the baddies... Bellatrix obviously, then maybe Lucius Malfoy, Snape and Greyback? I think that covers the notable ones.

Sirius is excellent, can't wait to see more models. This might be the first miniatures game my girlfriend will actually want to play.

Sculpts look good, but I don't think ill be in the market for this game. The hp movies were good, but the hp movie and book crowd isn't generally the miniatures hobby crowd type (painting, assembling, gaming, meeting at flgs, etc). I forsee these becoming like the star wars or lotr minis from knight models, good for display only, as most will have no one else to play with (unlike the mumg, dcmg, and bmg).

Seriously strange to move their resources to this genre and slow down dcmg and bmg releases. Marvel and DC have mass cult followings, many of whom are miniature gamers, collectors, etc. That's why heroclix has been around forever.

No interest in Harry Potter, but the sculpts are excellent and I'd give my eye teeth for a tiny figurine of Alan Rickman.

Do you think Knight would do a Galaxy Quest game?

I'm sooo, sooo sorry.

Yep, loving the renders but have absolutely no interest in Harry Potter.

My main concern is how the fine detail will transfer to 30mm minis, judging from my experience of other KM figs I'm guessing that it wont. They can be a bit "flat".
