The lying down ones are two casts of the same mini.

In that case there are some talented people in the Knight Miniatures team.

Using the same magics that animate the pictures in the wizarding world they have been able to make miniatures move as well.
As you can see here the two casts of the same mini have differences, like one on the right having his hand cast to his waist and the other has moved his hand away from the robe.
And look at the ripple effects on the robes themselves, the left one is simulating a gust of wind taking it away from his boots which the right one has yet to do.

Truly wonderful magics they are up to in Knight Miniatures, and very apt.

Glory is fleeting. Obscurity is forever.

I think the one on the left is Lucius Malfoy (long straight hair and the pose).

I thought it was a hood. But it's not the best photo in the world, so yeah, could be hair.

The galaxy is littered with the single-planet graveyards of civilisations which made the economically sensible decision not to explore space.

Malfoy without his wand/cane? That would be disappointing.

The guy on the right could be Fenrir Greyback, Voldemort's werewolf minion.

First properly painted fig.

The main three look rather ho-hum compared to the other characters previewed so far.

Makes me even more sure of collecting a Deatheater force.

I'm liking them (although not a fan of the balernina leg from Hermione, but it's not opinion-breaking). But from how the final pro-painted mini on Bellatrix looked compared to the earlier version I wonder if the final minis will have same effect on generla opinion.

OK, I just read that realised how crappy my english was (you wouldn't guess I write for a living). TL;DR - properly painted Bellarix looked better than badly painted Bellatrix.

Harry looks like he's wearing swimming goggles, but at that scale I'm impressed that they managed distinct glasses. Ron looks the best of the three. I know that I've said it before and will do so again. Hermione is bad.

Cheers

You are probably right, the studio paint jobs will likely make the Main 3 better looking, but I am still not a fan of the kids' models over some of the other characters shown so far.

Too bad Ron's wand isn't snapped in half. Hoping that is a variant figure down the line as broken-wand-Ron was a lot of fun in the movies.

Yeah - the Harry Potter himself looks kinda bad. The head needs a re-do. The other two look fine though.

Use clippers to cut it in half and then use plastic cement to put the two bits together and there you have a broken wand fixed with clear sticky tape

Oh yeah, the conversion would be easy. I just want Ron's rules to reflect a chaotic, misfiring wand!

Or clip the end and paint and Ron's face as covered in soot

The pro-painted Bella makes me like the miniature much more. Looks much more like the actress than the bare sculpt did.

The amateur paint job on the threesome... doesn't really do them any favors, and I still hate the silly pose on the Hermione figure.

Everything else has been pretty faithful but somewhat meh unless you're big into HP.

That Voldemort though...he stands on his own. I could easily see him being the BBEG in a dnd campaign or some kind of killer wizard for a wargame or other skirmish. Fearful that he'll be prohibitively expensive but still.

Sure looks cool, but will be an absolute nightmare to assemble (and keep assembled) if cast in KM's usual metal.

I like Lucius, that is a very nice figure.

If I play this I guess I'm a Deatheater, with the exception of Sirius, they have the nicer models.

Cheers
