That Storm Raptor is a must have, even if the rules for it suck. The Desert Hydra looks pretty cool, too. Any others will probably depend on their usefulness in the game.

I will say that PP's hard plastic, while a marked improvement over their pvc, is still not as good as GW's or Wyrd's stuff. The detail on the kits I've seen/handled just feels softer, not nearly as sharp.
Also that Kaya3 is making me reconsider my thoughts of selling my small Circle collection. Those rules already sound stupid good, and she's my favorite Circle theme.

So even if the minis look nice on some crisp renders they will end up cast in subpar material and lose details. Meh Not happy at THAT price tag either. a pass.

So, PP is charging more for HIPS monsters in 120mm bases than GW does for HIPS monsters on 160mm bases. gg.

It's almost like one of the companies already owns their own machines while the other has to pay someone else to cast their models for them.

Right.
The fact is that PP is not cheaper than GW.
Nevertheless, for single models like solos or warcasters with small bases, the prices of the blisters are lower than those of GW. But one must admit that the PP blister models are metal, while the GW models are plastic and have a much higher quality.

If you believe that then you've not been paying attention to the amount of flak their players have been throwing over mk3.

Flak for mk3. Indeed, some armies seem hardly be playable at the competitive level like Cryx.
But GW had much more flag during the last years for known reasons.

Cryx is perfectly playable at the competitive level, but their internal balance is way off and the majority of what used to get played is now on the bottom of that. They do suffer from the mk3 uber Warmachine gunlines though. Venethrax is Lethal vs Hordes is their brightest side.

Privateer hasn't abused the faith of its fan base the way GW has, so they still get the benefit of the doubt. I don't agree with everything PP does, but I'm willing to keep an open mind. GW threw that trust away and thus suffer the consequences.

Humm dont know about that. Ruleswise Im not even going to try to compare both but from a pure miniatures prespective I always went for PP because of the chunky metals miniatures that hold tons of little details and PP in the past was adamant and quite proud of being a company that produced just that… well a few years later and we have the gummy bear resin to cast their minis these days which is inferior to almost everything on the market… So from a pure painter collector prespective here I do feel PP lost credibility for the sake of cheap products ( which are not that cheap in the end afterall).

One of these days I'll have to pick up an actual plastic kit.
I've found myself with more and more honest- to- goodness resin from PP lately. Maybe it's just due to buying mostly Trollbloods since they tend to be a bit larger and chunkier, and the bulk of those releases have all been resin.
Their resins have been pretty nice actually. Details are clear and not much cleanup needed.....

IMHO PP is doing every boneheaded thing GW does, just with a 10 year lag. Switching to inferior materials while (in some cases) raising prices, axing "specialist games" (Monsterpocalypse), spiting online retailers, "rebalancing" the game to make current staples useless, inflating standard game size...

Everything shown in this thread apart from the thumper/pummeler crew are gonna be either metal/resin or hard plastic.

Right. Deneghra1 is one of the best casters in the game.
But as said, Crxy will crumble against a gun line.

They've specified that exact issue as something they're focusing on in the January errata.

Well, I think they could change it with the tier lists.
I've put my Crxy on hold, sell my Cyriss, and play Circle.

i still need to try one of the HIPS 'Jacks, too...
the resin/metal combos have been great, though...

their proper resin is awesome!!!

Totally agree. The shift from metal miniatures was a major let down for me. Coupled with the bait and switch that occurred with the Legends release followed mere months later by the MK II beta test that changed the way those Legends models worked was such a " GW" move, that PP lost me as a customer.
