September 2016 updates -- for some of the books.
It's not the full ones they did via FB, but the corrections for things like Dreadnought attacks are there.

This was only the Scout and Dreadnought errata. No FAQs yet.
Still, great that these are indisputably official now.

b-but muh Roundtree! Nice meme you fell for, people. All the FAQs or any other change is purery cosmetic. Is the usual change for the sake of change without any deep thought. They still are, at their core, a bunch of hacks that could not care less about creating a decent game system.

Generic characters disappearing? Elite units of your army losing options and customizations? No longer finding that motivation to convert?

For real? You expect the Errata/ FAQ to resolve what only can be done with a new edition?

Nothing posted so far is FAQ. It is all Errata. Points changes aren't out of the question, they just don't really happen.

You expect the Errata/ FAQ to resolve what only can be done with a new edition? I am waiting with excitement this new edition. Middle ground between 40k and AoS, I am at the edge of my seat. And yes, there were point amendments in the past. They could help, if not fix, a lot of things if they bothered.

It is a faq not a patch. I understand frustration about continuing problems with the rules, but they have been very clear about what this is and what it isn't.

GW decided to change the WS/ BS of scouts but the one faction that already had WS/ BS 4 pays a premium for that and are forced to take them as elites instead of troops. With all the other scouts now having the same stat line it makes SW scouts objectively worse due to their points cost. Not sure how changing the points cost is any different than changing the stat line on a unit in an FAQ/Errata.

Exactly. Well, they can bump up BA Terminators to Bs/ Ws 5 if they don't want to change points but obviously stats...

Is quite the opposite - is stupid Blood Claws have WS and BS 3 (unless I am mistaken), and SM Scouts have WS4 BS4. They killed a bit of fluff in the way the different chapters (codex compliant or not) assign the different battlefield roles. But I see your point - it addresses what I said. This is like the old Guardians. Only compulsory Ultwe Black Guardians had WS4 OR BS4.

As for anything Tyranid.
That said I guess that means the "first drafts" are not official then eh? With all the changes GW has done, regarding FAQs GW hasn't changed and it's back to same old same old game wise. Guess we really have to wait next summer to see if 40K and GW changes at all.
Oh well at least they are doing in good in changing in other aspects.

It would make sense. They'd have 2 attacks base, but need something else to distinguish they're Veterans.

Why do anything for free to actually fix the game when they can charge the princely sum of a new edition and half-arse it?
