So thanks to Hellath over at B&C for posting this, seems Spanish GW got a tease of Jan's WD:


So people are saying its Abs which most likely means he's getting a shiny new plastic look, now as a matter of interest, where was that list of release rumours that someone brought back up from Natfka? Cant find it again but just wanted to check since they got some of the Tzeentch stuff right, was there a mention of a new Abaddon?

Certainly looks like him anyway with the tip of his sword just visible and the Black Legion Terminator armour.

I think Abaddon "choking a squat" is part of the new KDM KS

There's definitely a topknot involved, so that narrows it down to pretty much any faction except Tyranids.

Hope we get new Chaos marines, Chosen, maybe Terminators. And Abaddon of course.

Even though its art and not a model pic all the new WD covers have related to a new release. Combined with the rumours of a Canoness could we be looking at a small release of character models to go alongside the Imperial agents and Traitor legions books?

But seriously, every one of Abbadon's campaigns had a very specific goal, hidden underneath grand theaters of carnage and despoilage. Only the accomplishment of these goals ends the crusade.

It's older art, probably recoloured at a later date. I want to say Adrian Smith or Karl Kopinski, as that style of face was used a lot a decade ago in their art.

Adrian Smith is the artist, this is certainly an older piece.

Earliest I can trace it is the 2002 Chaos Space Marines codex as an uncoloured piece.

It's a Trick!

Abbadon only plays the looser. After 12 failed crusades you should believe "oh, look on him, he is a totally douchebag!". Then he strikes and wins!

According to Wikipedia and my limited knowledge of Hebrew, Ǎḇaddōn. The emphasis is on the first and last syllable.
