We should start seeing DoT leaks soon! Tomorrow at the latest.

Oh, tough call, I prefer cats but Gryph-Hounds are just so cool.

Someone needs to suggest to GW to make a menagerie pack for all the amazing animals they've been making.

Spoiler:

Off-topic but it's funny how many fan comics have that thing able to shoot. I think gun hammers would've been a better idea than the current gun lance line. (Though I'm heavily biased towards regular lances, joust charge ftw!)

Also, calling it now that the Mary sue of the upcoming Monster Hunter movie gets that hammer on pure "Americans will think it's cool!".

But it's a really good Fire hammer man.

On topic, that cat is adorable. I'll need 5 for my crazy cat lady model I intend to make...

So looking at these hints, it seems the next few releases will be Tzeentch (obviously) gathering storm part 2 featuring Eldar, steampunk Duardin and maybe some aos humans. That is a pretty good start to the year.

It's so strange referencing MH and having people know and love the games. I come from the PS2 days of yore and no one would believe me they were great games for years. It always brings a tear to my eye to see how far the community came with each release and how far it will go.

I think it's safe to say that this is a 40K bit.

I hope they surprise everyone and say its Steam head duardin.

Do any loyalists use belts rather then clips in bolters/pistols?

Implies chaos.
Or Cypher.
DA?

Not that they are mutually exclusive, depending on who you ask.

Cozy cockpit of an Imperial Knight

Certainly a more archaic pattern, but I hope it's not from Cypher, he need to dual wield his guns, not have one holstered at his side.

The holster's loose though...

I would love a Cypher with his Bolt Pistol holstered(but ready for a draw) and the Plasma Pistol already out and firing.

A duardin pistol would look more like the rifle that the Cogsmith carries, with a wooden grip and dwarven runes. This has none of the elements that makes it feel dwarvish to me.

It's gotta be 40K Space Marine of some sort. That handle/pistol grip is identical to those on the Space Marine bolt gun/pistol.
If it were Duardin it would be more ornate and covered with filigree just as Ghaz suggests

If we assume the cloak, gyrinx tail, and other revealed hints have mostly been focused on Eldar; and we also assume that the rumor of three-hero boxes for factions stands (Triumverate Of The Imperium, Aledari, then Chaos), it makes perfect sense a more archaic pistol belongs to a Chaos Marine of some sort.

So questions I'll ask to point in that direction are- do we believe a new Cypher model is coming, where is Fabius Bile in all this, and what other Chaos hero could make a first appearance(or reappearance)?

Like a true Tomb King, change (to AoS) has left me bitter and vengeful.

That's definitely AoS. Look, there's a hammer on that gun. I've flipped through a lot of 40k models and there is no instance of a pistol with a firing hammer, even on the "archaic" Inquisition weaponry.

Nah, this is either a Duardin or a Witch Hunter.

Is that a firing hammer, or is it a hook like it's where the holster connects to something- upon further inspection, the holster and straps look definitely in motion- Biker?

AdMech Phosphor Pistols have firing hammers. So do Phosphor Serpentas and Radium Carbines.

We don't know where Fabius Bile is in all this, but Cypher definitely makes an appearance in "Fall of Cadia".

A lone robed individual exhibiting Pre-Heresy Astartes combat tactics attacked a vault in the depths of an Inquisitorial fortress. Once inside the vault, he was "whisked away" by forces unknown.

Nah, definitely a hammer. There's no way that hooks on to anything, and it is the same basic shape as what you might see on a revolver.

I do agree that it looks in motion - the last gun we saw in the Rumor Mill looked like it was strapped to a mount and that looked AoS as well. Mounted Witch Hunters/Duardin hype!

Verviedi wrote:AdMech Phosphor Pistols have firing hammers. So do Phosphor Serpentas and Radium Carbines.

Eeeh... they have machinery where a hammer would historically go but I think it's a stretch to assume they fulfill the same purpose. Comparatively, Plasma Pistols have a knob or nut where a hammer would go, but it looks more like a venting or charging port than something you need to cock to fire.

This clearly looks like something that is involved in the firing mechanism.

I don't think it's a hammer. Could be a shot selected?

Through the Eye of Terror and turn left.

Looks a lot like a fancier more archaic version of a Tigrus-pattern bolt pistol.

Master crafted perhaps? Could be Cypher or even generic Fallen kit...

I'll get one of these right one day

If only it was painted. I think that would actually make this much more narrow in terms of what it could be.

Likely, which means its probably 40k, and a space marine pistol of some sort. Being mostly color coded as they are and all.
