The front sort of looks like material is bent away from the skull thingie, like pierced armour. A couple of years ago I would've guessed "battle damaged Fantasy cybot", but nowadays GW makes far sharper blades. Unless it's a tiny, skull-encrusted dagger.
But tgis whole post is just a front for me saying: I would have been all over a range of made to order small scale prints of monsters. The new gribblies are all way too big to paint or transport well. A tiny Warboss going with a tiny Maw Crusha would've been so cute to boot. Or not. At half scale he'd still be close to a regular Ork in size, wouldn't he

I'm not sure what this is.
Could simply be base decoration - which blows it wide open. Could be mounted on somethings back, which might suggest Death getting some love at long last.
But.....is it just me, or does look more like resin than plastic?

Screams terrain for me. It kinda has the quality of the plastic bases. Unless that's still a mockup.

Because it looks like A) the Reliquary that one of the Imagifers carries and B) and a decoration piece on the Immolator. I had the same thought.

A lot of the terrain now is made in China, so terrain could explain why we have a 3D print for a preview. The final product isn't being done in house.

Games Workshop terrain is garbage now for the price they charge for it now. Really bad quality for a premium product. Their bases are really substandard and definitely not GW quality.

Has anything previewed so far been FW? I don't remember anything. This doesn't look like resin to me. It looks like a lighter-weight plastic.

I'm guessing Ork. The strap on the O-ring and the dinged up metal plate are typical Ork design elements.

Duardin is the name of the race. Steamheads are an as yet unseen subfaction. Fyreslayers are the ones we've seen. Some Duardin, neither Steamheads or Fyreslayers (as far as we know) are part of a faction called the "Ironweld Arsenal" which consists of Humans and Duardin. I'm thinking you're right. Or it could be an Ogre. Ooooh. Something I just thought of is the Genestealer Cultist Aberrants. We still don't have a kit for them, aside from the Deathwatch Overkill set.

Not Ork/Orruk; they don't do circles.
I'm thinking undead; specifically a bit of tack or a broach that was pristine when it was buried with its wearer but has since gotten dinged up by the passage of ages. And also being forced out of the ground by dark magics.

Looks like one of the back glyph plates from an Ork boy plus you can make out some straps and the d-loops.
Plastic Kommandos or maybe (finally) new buggies or even deffkoptaz.
I',m not going to get my hopes up though...

New Chaos Warrior kit - for whatever god awful name they've drummed up for them. The circular shoulder-join plate is a pretty iconic piece of the older ones. Maybe some guys to support the new resin Slambo, etc.

Gotta agree with Elbows- that bit is giving me chaos warrior vibes.
I'd love a new generic chaos warrior kit. I'd double love it if they made the mutation sprues a thing again as well.
Especially if they were as impressive as all that old Adrian Smith art!

That's far too small and plain looking to be any self- respecting Ogre's gut plate!
For shame! They would most certainly be cast off their mountain, or out of their realm bubble or whatever, for having such a poor wardrobe.
Now I could see them using those cape buckle things as actual plates, but that's probably too civilized for most of GW's Ogres...

One of the ork bikers has a plate very much like that on his back. The robes hanging on rings and the chain holding armour together are also both orkish elements. I am going for warbuggy or Wartrakk driver.
