So I just picked up an Iron Father and it seems like he is supposed to be the model for Autek Mor. Well, all except for the power axe. My question was, does a Paragon Blade have to be a sword? I mean that is most likely the intent. But why not just call it the Paragon Sword? I want to use the Iron Father for Autek Mor but I like the look of power axe. I will probably participate in 30k events at some point and I worry about the WYSIWYG component. What are people's thoughts about using the model for Mor as is?

You can model it how you want. The description even says that they can take many forms.

A Paragon Blade can be literally any melee weapon, I'm fairly sure it even says that in the entry for a Paragon Blade.

Sweet, thanks for the heads up. To be honest, I probably didn't even read the entry (like I should have).

They can take any form.

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.

Yea, Loken has a Paragon Blade but it looks like a Chainsword.

Lot's of options available to make your pretor look super unique.

Isn't a paragon Blade just a catch all term for rare old blades?

Yeah, I'd say rare old close combat weapons, but yep

My Alpha Legion Praetor uses one of the WHFB Har Ganeth axes painted up to look like marble as a paragon blade.

My recent Dark Angel HQ rolls with one of the Deathwing Knight Halberds as his (which was fun to transplant onto non-terminator armor).

Rule of Cool is great.
