Traitor Legions and Chaos Marines Codex, or simply the Horus Heresy rules ?
I'm still at the beggining of the Horus Heresy series so I don't know the state of degenerency of the Traitors at the end of the Heresy, but I guess that they are closer to Chaos Marines than legionaries.
Thanks !

Horus Heresy rules. The Traitor Legions in retreat weren't too different than they were during the main conflict.

But don't you think that, after all these years fighting in the name of Chaos, and freed from their discipline and the Imperium, they already had been corrupted, changed ?
IIRC, during the Battle of Terra, they weren't really the Legions from old anymore.

Why Aye Ya Canny Dakkanaughts!

It was the many years within the eye of terror that corrupted most of the traitor legions. During the heresy it was mainly just the primarchs and some high ranking officers who were corrupted by chaos, the rest were just following their primarch.

Xana was already producing daemon engines by then. MAYBE add some daemon engines to your list (but hard cap it are 1-2 per list) and maybe add a unit of possessed marked marines.

The part of only the high command getting corrupted is groxgak, the children had been gone off the rooker by and large already during istvaan.

The point I was making was that most of the space marines were completely unaware of chaos and were mostly driven by hate of the imperium and loyalty to their primarch. Perhaps 'not corrupted' is the wrong way to phrase it as they may have been unwillingly corrupted.

It depends on the legion you want to represent. The Death Guard had become plague marines before the siege of Terra. Angron and Fulgrim had both become Daemon primarchs by then as well. Also the Word Bearers were worshiping the chaos gods for about half a century before the heresy. The rest of the legions were probably the same as when the heresy began.

The World Eaters had the butcher's nails implants by then, and when Angron went full deamon his transformation killed all the remaining World Eater psykers, so, yeah, pretty sure that legion at least was full chaos by then.
