I am surprised they didn't try to make the armor more ornate and decorated. If they were just normal Seraphim I would be extremely impressed obviously. But yeah, I think its because they wanted the plates to be quite smooth and sleek. On such small models that doesn't leave a lot of room for excess detail. Although then you take a look at the resin canoness and wonder. Now personally I think they should have just made her same size as Allarielle for more detail and say shes not flesh and blood anymore; but hey hey I am too happy to moan.

Its really great because me and my mate are starting a campaign with our own lore and I wanted my two main Imperial POV to be a Canoness and a Hereticus Inquisitor. I love it when a plan comes together.

Also, the Magos has the keys from the rumor engine. Don't know if anyone's noticed yet.

Those are chains...huh, I was just painting the original model the other day and thought that was an incense burner similar to what you see on Dark Angels space marines.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

This pic sure does depic that, but what if... the way they get there is through the webway via the dark eldar... looks like they are walking towards a light.

Imperium and DE allying up? TEoMEiMF style?

edit: also why do they need a tech priest too, and they all look like they are looking at you as if you are something they want to take there.
like... a bomb?!

Are they gonna create a warp storm with the help of the DE to engulf the cadian gate and stop the invasion

Magus has Keys, the pics of the AoS tzaangors army shows the soul orb and staff as being part of a mini on flying disc of tzeenthc, now only the *armored* 1st one left and the jeweled cloak missing.

The old model does have incense burners. I think it's only this particular picture that has actual chains with morning stars. Both work though.

Oh geez, that Battleforce AdMech for my brother seems like a really good buy now. Magos Stompy McStompface is another brilliant model for the Omnissiah factions. His axe looks a bit too loong to really swing around without getting stuck in the ground and with that cable going into his arm he might not be able to shift his grip, but what a beast. I *love* spiderbot-attached-with-a-mockery-of-an-umbilical-cord. I was just TODAY thinking about the Noise Marine with some sort of spider mutation attached to his crotch via fleshy ropes (from the Draco novels, unless I misremember) and I have a Death Guard spawn with a crab-like growth coming out of his spine kinda like this. There are not many things creepier than this concept, IMO.

The =I= with the candle on the hat and the bolt thrower with added crossbow -to shoot MORE bolts- is so awesomly grimdark that I *have* to turn it into an Empire witch hunter. Maybe a repeater handgun replacing the bolter part of the combi-weapon?

The bit about gang fights in Commorragh, well, I was thinking about those after the DEldar article in WD. Now there might be a WD rules/a board game/whatever following with just that? Who are you and why are you impersonating the GW from the 90ies?

The plastic sisters, which should be the shocking reveal, aren't even that interesting compared to the other stuff! Madness! Okay, plastic battle squad would open my wallet, but a living saint -I never liked the concept of those even if her mini was always great- looking sorta like the Sigmarine Prosecuters, ehh. Not at the price GW will ask for it. Too specific. Once/if the troop choices hit I'll get some though. The bobcuts haven't suffered that much by going plastic. Is it too much to hope for a zealous mob of civvies lead by a priest? That can easily be converted into cultists? I mean, plastic sisters and a plastic FEMALE Inquisitor before a male one, everything is possible, right?!

Looking for a Skaven Doomwheel banner to repair my Nurgle knights.

to quote myself from the imperial agents thread: "Maybe......ok hear me out.......they're making a new celestine model/rules? They could easily put it in any of the supplements. Heck, even something black crusade related."

It was kind of obvious lol. I think those sisters look fantastic and I don't even play them or want to. To all the people saying these models look like garbage, hey, its ok. Not every model is for you. Other people aren't terrible because they enjoy these models. Have fun with this game, its not a big deal.

I'm more excited about the continuation of the story (i.e. Fall of Cadia etc.) than any of the models. I think the plastic Sisters are neat, but it'll be a kick in the pants if that threesome is a small plastic set for an expansion book. Be curious to see if they really do flesh out the sisters.

Black Templars...snoozefest as they've always been, whatever.

Oddly, I don't love the new Magus guy --- prefer the other current priest fella.

The Tzeentch releases for AoS look tremendous (and I hate most of the AoS aesthetic). The Tzangor on disc etc. all look pretty damn well designed. I can see a lot of kit-bashing opportunities for folks.

I missed the acolytes. Wow. I NEED that vulture. To welcome him in the arms of Grandfather Nurgle, though.

And the Kairic would work great for Slaanesh. IMO, better than Tzeentch if you replace the shields of runes.

All this hype on those three minatures and I think people forgot that a minature that looks exactly like a new abbaddon was on the cover of the next white dwarf as well. So we should be getting a lot more than those three minis.

Also don't forget that black Templar made to order model is only for this weekend and anyone with even an inclining of starting a black Templar force may want to pick up that awesome model.

It is not like it was a surprise, at least for anyone hanging out here. I'm SOB player and got 8 metal sisters with meltas last week just because. If the rest of the plastic sisters come later next year that is fine (which feels like a certain), I'll be busy with the new 1K sons.

Probably LOW Strong.

Blood Angels, Custodes, Tzeentch, Alpha Legion, Astra Militarum, Deathwatch, Thousand Sons, Imperial Knights, Tau, Genestealer Cult.

I have a problem.

Being contrary for the sake of being contrary doesn't make you unique, it makes you annoying.

Which open up possibilities for new Slaneesh stuff as well, like in Khorne last year, Tzeentch this year, etc.

The pic certainly looks like Slaanesh storming some kind of IG fortress on the left side.

You know who's not in the picture of them presumably retreating to the webway?

Celestine.

Inb4 they bring Celestine back just to kill her.

How so? You are assuming that the small inquisitor detachment of SOB are either going to have different rules (unlikely) or different models (unlikely) then the new sisters codex.

No one has seen any plastic battle sisters. So other than new models or Celestine I doubt sisters are having a complete redo in thier range. However I expect rules to be slightly better in the sisters codex as most factions in the inquisitors book are watered down versions,of their fraction.

Why would you presume they're retreating? Looks more like they're advancing than tactically running away.
And lets not forget, Celestine's big thing is dying then coming back.
I'll be disappointed if she doesn't suffer some fatal wound in the story only to come back a couple of pages later.
