Veteran,

If you think someone copied off Michael Crichton's Eaters of the Dead (i.e. the film The 13th Warrior), that's just a version of Beowulf he wrote as the result of a bet between himself and another professor. (as the story goes, one of his fellow professors was lamenting the difficulties of teaching ancient classics to modern students - he stated there was no way to make Beowulf interesting for a modern audience - Michael Crichton accepted his challenge and wrote the book Eaters of the Dead).

So, is Prospero Burns really just Beowulf?

And, does it matter? Shakespeare took the plots from nearly all of his plays (other than the "historical" plays) from earlier narratives. Does that mean that he shouldn't be regarded as a good playwright? No, of course not. Because it's what he does with those source narratives that got him literary immortality.

I don't think that's Celestine.

I know a lot of people have accepted it, but there's just not enough stuff to convince me there. Mostly because I imagine the Armor of St. Catherine and the Ardent Blade would have a lot more up-do to them than what that model is offering.

Even though GW has already named the model as St. Celestine?

Both of those are fairly accurate to the old model - the Ardent Blade is even a little more fancy, with the bigger flowers. It's just that now she has wings and isn't choking her dove.

New models look amazing. Love the new celestine, I'm gonna miss the creepy dead babies though. 'Cry "curves!" and let loose the doves of war!!!'

The mechanicus dude is quite literally the most hideous conflagration of over-done, piled on, more-is-more 40kness in the history of things. I shall need at least two.

And the inquisitor is just kinda sexy. *heart Orkmoticon*

I said earlier, but I really like the relative understated nature of her armour. I imagine saints to be fairly humble, and it suits that, with just enough on the model like the wings and the halo to mark her out as special. I'm pleased they didn't go over the top.

The Celestine would look that much cooler with some servitor-cherubs somewhere, although id prob just use the Cherub that comes with the Librarian.

This is very much the opposite of fat. This is a lot of muscle and ABSOLUTELY NO FAT. Generally speaking, the more you can see the muscle, the less fat there is, because fat tend to, you know, cover the muscles.
Actually, I'd argue that this is NOT ENOUGH fat. It's like a Bruce Lee build, lots of muscle but still scrawny, featherweight underdog (that manage to beat everyone else despite the odds thanks to his incredible mastery of martial arts but still).
This could certainly work for other factions, but Sisters being elite troops fitted with the best wargear there is, I don't expect them to look even slightly malnourished or underdog.
That said, it's completely something out of the drawer's imagination, and bear no relation to the actual model, which is perfectly fine and coherent with the current range.

I think the idea is that GW has made every single female they've ever produced with the hourglass figure, now the sisters come out and they look fat.

Hi hello I'm GW's best non-Sister female model:

 MadCowCrazy wrote:
Question: Does the new armor design make the sisters look fat compared to ALL PREVIOUS FEMALE MODELS PRODUCED BY GW?

Question: Is the new armor design more realistic compared to previous designs?

If your answer is no to either then feel free to explain your reasoning by giving clear comparisons to previous models made by GW.

My answer to question 1 is HELL fething NO and the explanations are simply links to the current [urlhttps://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Sisters-of-Battle-Canoness]canonness[/url] and repentia mistress.
I hope that helped.
I don't understand question 2 since it's the same armor as before.

If Celestine is ever refereed to as a perpetual, I would be very, very disappointed.

Edited. Rule Number Two is Stay On-Topic. Thanks.

Warhammer community uploaded a large version of this picture, download or open the picture in a new window to get a better view. Doesn't really reveal anything other than a thousand Seraphim. So the question remains, is the Celestine kit 3 models or is she 3 upgrade bits in the Seraphim box?

Just noticed that Celestine and the priest on the far right are the only ones "in focus". These types of artworks are usually meant to highlight the most interesting parts, so why is Celestine and the priest the only ones in focus?

Priest model confirmed? hue hue hue...

Just noticed a priest on the far right who is picked out rather clearly. Wonder if it's a hint of new model design or just some creative license by the artist.

Those are called "artistic licence"

So we have Khorn, Nurgle and Slaanesh. Does anyone see any Tzeentch? Maybe the thing with vertical mouth is a tzeentch thing?
On closer inspection they might be Slaanesh, at least the one to the right of the Khorne Daemon looks Slaaneshi. So smaller Keeper of Secrets and huge Slaanesh GMC?

Hopefully we'd get a new plastic Keeper of Secret.
Hmm, first piece of Sisters artwork released for years was this picture from Shield of Baal
Spoiler:

Now with the first release of plastic sisters the artwork features Slaanesh...... I see a theme here...

Looks like a huge slaaneshi demon.
I don't think its based on a model, I just think the artist drew something that looks freaky and demonic.

I think it's strange to depict all those seraphim as flying when they can't actually fly. Perhaps Gemini should get jetpacks at the very least. Give Celestine one too for JSJ shenanigans.

Seeing as they haven't made any mention of it being "an alternate build of a kit" and Nork Deddog was effectively the only time they did the whole "Special Character from a Normal Unit Box" of late...

It's pretty obviously going to be the case that Celestine will not be a 3 Seraphim or Celestine and Geminae box.
