Exactly, maybe the double CAD will still work with the cheap priest HQ's to keep points down to get her back in the list. Running 6 Dom squads doesnt leave much room.

There was always (and arguably better) HQ choices. Plus if they make her even better than she was before and some form of LoW then so be it. I can't see her as anything but a LoW or HQ after any change, regardless.

I am more concerned with her new point cost. It will be interesting to see if her new rules are worth the inevitable loss of Dominion squads her point increase would entail. Though if there are SoB formations in FoCadia, SoB reliance on Dominions might not be so mandatory. If not, she might not make it into my lists even with the upgrade.

Celestine is still at home in C:AS. The question is if she is getting new rules or just a retinue option.
As much as I hope Sisters will get a proper release my cynical side is thinking that we're only seeing some small wave releases of models in this book and presumably in the part 2 (if there is one). I don't think we're seeing a new Sisters rulebook in the near future but rather a wave release to supplement the army like they did with Tau.

Do you see St Celestine existing both within the current digi dex as a stand alone HQ and FoCadia as a LOW or HQ with retinue and different rules? I am glad I never complaibed about just having a digidex, from that to a three book army in just two months. Ha!!!

It seems like they're spreading out the sisters releases. I can't imagine them saying screw it and not giving a full release eventually. The sales figures on just the one new model so far should give them an idea of how popular the army is.

I haven't seen FoCadia's rules yet. My point was more a question of if they were just copy and pasting her current rules over with a retinue or changing them with the new book. Automatically Appended Next Post: mmzero252 wrote:

If I had to give a guess I'd say either 8th would invalidate it to much so they're holding off on a full release or they lack confidence in making Sisters sell so they're keeping the old core for now while trying some small things before a full greenlight is given to push forward with updating everything else.
Or perhaps we'll see new stuff in part one with part two gets the old core updated and none of this conjecture is right.

What have we seen in supplements like Curse of the Wulfen or Wrath of Magnus so far?
New Units and Models
New Formations
New Detachments, Warlord Traits, Psychic Powers, and Malestrom Objectives.
All of these things are add-ons to current armies. It isn't a stretch to think that FoCadia will add onto the Sisters and Inquisition lists in C:IA, just like CotW adds to Space Wolves and WoM adds to CSM.

We know at least 3 new named characters added to various Imperial factions.

If anything, Fall of Cadia will be adding stuff to IG and CSM, not Sister or Inquisition, both of which are not really major lines right now.
What we've seen is most likely the extent of Sister and Inquisitorial releases for that supplement, unless SoB somehow receive a surprise codex release along the way.

Why would a citation be needed? It's just a person's opinion on how they will never use her again. That is how I took it, not that she is invalidated in any way since they still have their codex.

It's also possible there will be multiple boxes like with Stormcloud Attack, which has 3 starters covering 6 armies. So you could have Sisters facing off against cultists, while also having the obligatory Space Marine starter.

This would be a smart idea for them if they included a small paperback quick start 8th edition ruleset and had 3 small box sets with 6 armies you would have a lot more people picking up the entire kit and likely start 2 armies.

Why not? You know the Space Marines are going to see anyways, so why give them away in the starter. I mean the only people who buy the starters are current Marine players anyways.
On a slightly more serious point, if 8th ends up like AoS a starter becomes unnecessary as all the rules will be free(R). You could end up with smaller starters (not the 's' to denote multiple ones) and every box sold is a potential starter set. The best part of AoS-fication is that a box of Tactical Marines is a starter, as is a box of Eldar Guardiands, as is...
