Interesting points in the story:

- The Phalanx is present to counter the Planet Killer.
- Trazyn says he knows the purpose of the pylons.
- Trazyn will open its vaults to set free some Imperial prisoners that were part of his collection.

So, the Black Templars are crusading at Cadia, and the Imperial Fists are at there as well. Trazyn is releasing Imperial prisoners from his collection...

DORN?

I doubt it's (the LoC) a few months out, it'll probably still be part of this release, which we know is a multiweek release.

There's no Tzaangor stuff either but we know they're getting at least 3 kits.

Guess I'm keeping my money on the back burner until then. I need a bunch of Daemons to go along with my Magnus, but I don't want to buy old models only to have the new ones make them look like doodie in comparison.

Blood Angels, Custodes, Tzeentch, Alpha Legion, Astra Militarum, Deathwatch, Thousand Sons, Imperial Knights, Tau, Genestealer Cult.

I have a problem.

Being contrary for the sake of being contrary doesn't make you unique, it makes you annoying.

Well the description was really vague, "a giant in baroque armor". I suppose it could be Russ, sense the wolves are on they're way there. But I'd have expected that is their own campaign books. Vulkan or Khan are possible but the Sallies and Scars weren't mention. Then there was that highly questionable Dorn rumor.... But honestly outside of Draigo, what imperial could Trazyn release that would make a difference?

One of the Marines in his collection was described as massive and in baroque power armor. Could be Dorn but could also be Vulkan.

Dorn would make sense if Cadia doesn't fall. Since he's the "Defensive" genius it'd make sense to wake him up to defend cadia. Especially if his legion is there.

I'm a little sad they've gone away from the double book boxsets for the campaign stuff with this one again. I really prefer the fluff and rules seperately. That way once the rules expire I can ditch that book and keep the fluff (as I have with the End Times sets from WFB/AoS).

Wasn't Dorn the primarch that excelled at Seige defence? The IF chapter/legion being the only one to man the walls of Terra in earnest?
The seige of the literal Shield-World of the Imperium might be where he would be best placed, if anywhere.

Yes, it's a defense to explain to you how things work.
You're justifying (or attempting to justify) why Australia pays anywhere from 40%-100% more than the rest of the world (well, UK/US, I should say). That sounds like typical GW apologising to me.

 Kanluwen wrote:
They have price brackets they assign items to, and the prices tend to be a bit out of whack with straight conversions.
Having price brackets doesn't explain the sharp difference in prices between regions. It's fine to have a AUD$140 price bracket, but it should be applied to things that are close to (or as close to) things that have the equivalent price bracket in the UK. So if there's an £80 or £75 price bracket on something, then the AUD price can be the AUD$140 bracket. If the UK is in the £50 price bracket, then the AUD price bracket applied to the same item should be somewhere similar (an AUD$85 or AUD$90 price bracket).

If anything, price brackets should make having consistent (or near-consistent, taking into account currency fluctuations and some importing costs) world-wide prices easier. It does ---NOT--- explain why this box is 164% the price of the UK price.

 Kanluwen wrote:
Additionally it should be $120 AUD rather than $140 going by the price brackets of other items that are $80(Deathwatch Land Raider is the most recent example), but it's been fluctuating a bit this past year.
How can price brackets fluctuate?

He doesn't make the prices, guy. GW does.

Take your attitude to them about it, not at him.

Plz please please more Necron content. For being one of the biggest threats/powers in the galaxy, they've been basically ignored. I could dig a new Trazyn model or even just a campaign that includes them with no new models.

Regarding the previous link (http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2016/52/1482953810-20161228-203221.jpg), there is a partially cut description accompanying that picture that people have been debating before (the one with DE looking guy).
It's partially cut on the pic but from what I get it implies that on the glacial moon of Klaisus (?) Imperial Forces are trying to run away from Abaddon forces and that their saving grace may come from an unlikely something (probably alliance, the word is cut).

Also:
- Abaddon doesn't want to destroy Cadia with the Planet Killer, he wants to conquer it. Apparently it's the final piece of his 10k years old long plan.
- I don't have the source for it but I've read on another forums that apparently the new Inquisitor is part of the people released from Trazyn vaults, and is like "WTF have you all been doing with the Imperium???" when she sees Psykers flinging spells left an right, Wulfen running around everywhere and a "Saint" leading them. But don't quote me on this as I can't find the original source.

We'll find out soon enough eh.

[MOD EDIT - Rule #1 - Alpharius]

As for the release - for me it's excellent. I wanted all three characters and had set aside £100, so being able to get all of them for £40 from a discounter is a lovely surprise. I can see how it would be annoying for those who only wanted, for example, the Inquisitor, but they'll undoubtedly get solo releases in a few weeks and if you really can't wait the individual prices on ebay/bits sites shouldn't be that bad relative to the later solo prices given how cheap the combo box is by GW standards.

Meh. I don't care about Celestine or Greyfax. I would rather buy them Separate. I only want Cawl.

I imagine it wouldn't be too hard to find people to split the box with.

Three characters(one with two additional models) for $80, split three ways is $26.67 each...plus tax.

You have fun with that, I'm bailing back out to games I can actually buy the units I want without piling up random extra unrelated crap. That said, I think I get where about half of who I was talking to got wires crossed as he isn't a sisters player and have to admit I'm disappointed as sin unless Celestine flies out of that box, into a separate package and this isn't all of it.

Welp I think GW shows us yet again that they care very little for a Sisters Release.

Heroes of the Imperium. Not SoB. This way they can think it's more the Mechanicus guy who will sell the box.

If they get a separate release its going to be at least a good few months away.

I wanted all 3 but I didn't expect to have to buy them all in one go just for Celestine.

Anyone else want to speculate the item that Cawl has hidden away in Stasis is related to the Void Dragon with me?

Trazyn travels across the universe to exchange "imperial heroes" for a treasure related to the void dragon that Cawl, the most ancient Magos in existence, has tucked away in his personal ship or something.

Unlikely, but the idea enthralls me.

Tazyn probably wants Drachyen or the talon, but I'm guessing that is why he's helping the Imps rather than just going on a raid to collect Crawl or whatever dodad he may have hidden.

I think this probably increases a chance of a Sisters release; what better way to get new players on board than to get them to buy one of the main characters as part of a bundle. That way you already have a starting point when the release comes.
