I dunno... I'd describe custodes armour as baroque before I'd describe anything I'd ever picture Dorn wearing...
I do think Dorn would be a good choice for first loyalist primarch back in the field. I always saw the Fists as the essential generic space marines, more so than the Ultramarines, especially these days. Between the time he spent with the Emperor during the formation and defense of the Imperium and the reasons he resisted the adoption of the Codex Astartes, he's easily a prime candidate to comment on (and perhaps try to recover from) the Imperium's decline; blaming it all on Guilliman, naturally.

I can't think of a single Primach that didn't wear ornate, custom forged armor. Heck, even no nonsense Perturabo was blinged out. Dorn is worse than most in fact given he's wearing all gold. Which as the Emperor say is the color of winning!

Humorous speculation at what Trayzn might be offering. It is well within Trayzn's established character to offer gifts with a twist like djinns in legend. In fact Trayzn in fluff plays his twisted gifts to comedic effect and we have nothing to say that he won't again, even in the super cereal Fall of Cadia.
Humorous speculation is On Topic when considering Trayzn specifically.

If Cadia is finally going to fall this time, might we see a progress in the plot? Or maybe a range of plastic Imperial Guardsmen that are not solely comprised of cadians? I have nothing against cadians, mind you, its just I liked it better when they had Vostroyans, Valhallans, Tallarns, Steel Legion and Mordians on the shelves as well. I would like if its revealed that the Pylons are, in fact, anti warp devices, and shortly before Cadia falls to chaos, Trazyn activates them, thereby separating Cadia from the warp. He will then turn Cadia into his own personal multi-dimensional theme park, "Mr. Cron's Wild Ride." Or make it into a giant necron base or something. The theme park idea is more entertaining though.

I could see the big twist being that while Abaddon fails once again, Trayzn activates the pylon grid revealing that Cadia is a world engine and steals the whole planet. Leaving the Imperium only temporarily saved but weaker for it.

I could see the Pylons being something like the original exit for the webway that tye Emp was working on, and if Abbadon gets it he can waltz right to Terra. Which would then lead to the Imperials using it to retreat after their loss and blowing it up behind them.

He vanished and they only found his hand.
Which they then proceeded to scrimshaw for the next 10,000 years.

Fiction is mixed. In some places it just mentions his hand being recovered, thus leaving the rest of him available to be used at a later date (such as this). Other fiction has his whole self kept on the Phalanx, very much dead.
I choose to believe the former as more canon because it's what I'm more familiar with, I like the idea of the Imperial Fists only having his fist to venerate, and the subsequent plotlines that could involve him returning from being missing all this time.

All humour aside, Trazyn's involvement really is exciting IMO. Who or what could he be potentially be offering from his vaults to help the Imperium? Not to mention either things are so end of everything bad that he's willing to help out of self preservation, or he's gonna want some form of compensation. Plus the potential for a new model is always nice.
