Fall of Cadia - CADIA - the planet were Cadian Shock Troops, who are from Cadia, are from - has so far managed to contain a lot of things that are not Cadians. The idea of the second book being Orks v Necrons, and not [Literally Anything] vs Cadians is a bit silly.

And Doobie getting a Primarch-level mini? Why not just an updated plastic one that updates his appearance ala Ahriman. Why does he suddenly need to become a monstrous human when he never was before?

What's left of Cadia

So from what we've seen so far, would this book (and the models) be worth it for us Guard players to pick up? So far there doesn't seem to be anything directly for Guard (although the characters seem like they'd be able to help out Guard armies a bit

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes

Orks are in part 1. If they do go From vs Orks in part 2 I expect it to be side fluff like Crons vs Nids in Shield of Baal.

And no idea if he will really be huge or not but I expect him to see an update when the Chaos part of Fall of Cadia drops.

On another note, the Stormies that are with Shadowfax, what are they specifically (other than a cool paint scheme).

In C:IA storm troopers are just acolytes with carapace(or power armour) and lots of special weapons however only bs3 but greyfax does have a psyccolum so technically they are bs10 vs units with a psyker.

Actually, Abaddon was always described as being very large even for a Space Marine. In fact, I want to say he was described as being almost as big as Horus in one of the earlier HH books. Now, I don't know if that translates to "literally the size of a Primarch", but years of Chaos energy flowing through you would cause some growth, I'd think.

I'm pretty sure there's a trapdoor in every office at GW, when you pitch the miniature designs for each release you have to stand on it, and if there isn't a large plastic kit involved, down you go.

Abnetts Horus Rising made statements like that, but then the later Talon of Horus has him back at regular Marine height out of his Termie Armour. FW's version in his Termie Armour doesn't have him any larger than a stock Termie so I don't see why GW would go there other than the already flagged Scale Creep phase they are going through with both 40K and AoS - seemingly heading down the 32mm route with most current releases rather than the older heroic 28mm.

I thought people pre heresy whispered he was Horus' clone, he was so large?

Of course, things vary between books.

Want Cadians? Buy the Wall of Martyrs bundle....

Orks attracted to the events at Cadia and Necrons involved there too isn't bad, but where is the Imperial Guard going to get a fair share if the rumors start with Characters and the possibility of an oversized Abaddon ?
Maybe the new shinies need some shelf space and the large kits of the IG have to move...

Most likely because he's the stand-in for Horus. He'll be running with the big boys soon, making him a blinged up termie just won't do.

Well, the mini codex for tempestus has that exact colour scheme named "the 29th Zetic Tygers", exept they dont seem to have the Zetic Tygers "tiger eye" sybol on their knee pad.
The 29th Zetic Tygers are noted for battling daemons, and most notable effort was to resist a lord of changes powers, banish it and close a warp rift.

I only got mine two days ago and was going to complain but rereading Decembers issue it notes that January WD was due for release on the 6th January.

Weird, I actually like WD allot again. It seems more honest (for an in-house mag) than it has done for decades.

I'm more excited to read about them than Celestine for some reason. I know her story, kinda. Who are -these- mysterious ladies?

https://www.games-workshop.com/en-NZ/Conclave-Acquisitororius

Belisarius Cawl does not take his rank – that of Archmagos Dominatus – lightly. Each time he ventures out into the cold gulfs of space to gather materials for his secret labours, he uses his absolute authority to requisition impressive swathes of combined Mechanicus forces to aid him. Maniples of Skitarii and chanting Electro-Priests stride into battle, their confidence bolstered by the hulking silhouette of a towering Imperial Knight. Enhanced above their already-sinister capabilities by Cawl’s datapsalms, the combined Mechanicus forces brazenly appropriate all information for the glory of the Omnissiah.

This bundle collects together the miniatures necessary to assemble the Conclave Acquisitorius, a formation from The Gathering Storm: Fall of Cadia. You’ll receive an impressive array of miniatures, including the Triumvirate of the Imperium (Belisarius Cawl, Celestine, the Living Saint and Inquisitor Greyfax) as well as a veritable wealth of Adeptus Mechanicus:

- a framed and signed commemorative art print by Paul Dainton limited to a mere 50 individually-numbered copies, as well as 3 artwork cards featuring the heroic Triumvirate of the Imperium from The Gathering Storm: Fall of Cadia;
- 10 Skitarii Vanguard;
- 10 Skitarii Rangers;
- 5 Sicarian Ruststalkers;
- 5 Sicarian Infiltrators;
- 3 Sydonian Dragoons;
- an Onager Dunecrawler;
- 2 Kataphron Breachers;
- an Imperial Knight Warden;
- a Kastelan Robot Maniple (4 Kastelan Robots and 2 attendant Datasmiths);
- 2 Fulgurite Electro-Priests;
- 2 Corpuscarii Electro-Priests;
- a Start Collecting! Skitarii set – this adds another 10 Skitarii Vanguard, another Onager Dunecrawler and a Tech-Priest Dominus.

https://www.games-workshop.com/en-NZ/Wrathful-Crusade

The warriors of the Wrathful Crusade fight with the absolute knowledge that they are fighting for the future of the Imperium. Theirs is a holy mission, a calling that drives them forward into the enemy with unbridled fury and zeal. With bolt and blade, fury and fire, the warriors of the crusade tear their enemies apart, fighting as one with cold-eyed determination until nothing remains of the enemy but corpses burning in the flames of faith.

This bundle collects together the miniatures necessary to assemble the Wrathful Crusade, a formation from The Gathering Storm: Fall of Cadia. You’ll receive the following:

- a framed and signed commemorative art print by Paul Dainton limited to a mere 50 individually-numbered copies, as well as 3 artwork cards featuring the heroic Triumvirate of the Imperium from The Gathering Storm: Fall of Cadia;
- the Triumvirate of the Imperium – 5 miniatures, including Archmagos Belisarius Cawl, Celestine, the Living Saint and Inquisitor Greyfax;
- 1 Space Marines Captain;
- 2 10-man Sternguard Squads;
- 4 10-man Space Marines Tactical Squads, with 4 Black Templars Chapter Upgrades;
- 2 10-man Space Marines Assault Squads;
- a 5-man Militarum Tempestus Command Squad;
- 3 sets of 10 Militarum Tempestus Scions.

https://www.games-workshop.com/en-NZ/Castellans-of-the-Imperium-Detachment

When the Imperium faces the direst of threats, it requires all of its military arms to work in conjunction to secure the future of Humanity. Bolstered by their versatility and shared devotion to the Emperor, and driven by the desperation such a mustering of strength signifies, disparate Imperial warriors become a force greater than the sum of its parts.

This bundle allows you to field the Castellans of the Imperium, a Detachment from The Gathering Storm: Fall of Cadia which forges the greatest of Humanity’s defenders into one combined army. Included:

- a framed and signed commemorative art print by Paul Dainton limited to a mere 50 individually-numbered copies, as well as 3 artwork cards featuring the heroic Triumvirate of the Imperium from The Gathering Storm: Fall of Cadia;
- a 6-man Space Marine Terminator Command;
- 2 10-man Space Marine Tactical Squads;
- a Stormraven Gunship;
- a 5-man set of Space Marine Scouts;
- a 5-man Sternguard Veteran Squad;
- a Valkyrie;
- a Start Collecting! Militarum Tempestus box – this adds a 10-man set of Scions, a Taurox Prime and an Officio Prefectus Commisar.
