I really thought that GW has learned from their mistakes of making formations unusable by making them to large. Seriously, do they not understand that games are usually played between 1000 and 2000 points? You can always scale up but damn they baffle me sometimes.

And right after that with Codex:Imerial Agents, they were almost muzzled or couldn't say as much. Could it be because they said too much with Traitor Legions, or was it because GW wanted lots of hype with Traitor Legions to get more impulse buys but C:IA was so lackluster that GW didn't want "reviews" out for C:IA just like how a horrible movie doesn't give out a pre release for reviews so not to take away sales?

So maybe Fall of Cadia is another Codex:Imperial Agents type book where the actual stuff that matters, the rules are not that great and will get less people excited to buy the product or impulse buys.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

Still going to buy it even if it's a bit rubbish just for the rules for Cawl.

Could we at least wait until we see rules and requirements before we start decrying the book? Not addressing anyone in particular, but seriously . . .

I'm mostly seeing people decrying the big lump sets online, which are hundreds (even above thousands) of dollery doos and are a mashup of random models.

People don't tend to like that, and we'd hoped GW had learned from it after the Thousand Sons big box set was good.

Blood Angels, Custodes, Tzeentch, Alpha Legion, Astra Militarum, Deathwatch, Thousand Sons, Imperial Knights, Tau, Genestealer Cult.

I have a problem.

Being contrary for the sake of being contrary doesn't make you unique, it makes you annoying.

Are there any savings to buying such a big lump of models?

Not really "random models" when it's full kits that represent what are in the formations.

I feel like these bundles are more promos for whats in the book than a legitimate attempt at selling things.

You'd think with how closely they've been working with the ITC and frontline guys, they'd try to start building towards that 1850 points area

Don't know about some of the others but I think I got my moneys worth out of Start Collecting Eldar.
Saved about £35 over buying the models singly. And not buying direct.

So some good value is there.

Looking at the pictures I'm short 4 boxes of electro-priests, 3 Dragoons and 2 Start Collecting boxes in order to run all the new Ad-Mech formations. They will need to be good formations to convince me to spend money on electro-priests.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned but has anyone else in the US not received their January White Dwarf yet? I got the last few right at the beginning of the months but this one is a no show. I assume it's just the holidays slowing things down but I figured I may as well see.

3 Units is hardly 'a big lump of models'... They are talking about the several hundred dollar formations with basically whole 2500 point armies in them.

Random models as in BLACK TEMPLARS with SCION allies.

They're too big, too expensive, and only make sense on cadia. They're bad ideas, unless the rules are good.

Blood Angels, Custodes, Tzeentch, Alpha Legion, Astra Militarum, Deathwatch, Thousand Sons, Imperial Knights, Tau, Genestealer Cult.

I have a problem.

I feel you! My last three magazines have been all over the place delivery wise, some early, some so late GW send me a replacement, just to have the original show up 4 days later. Jan's is still MIA. Im told after the 15th is the day to contact them for a replacement. ( I only know because I moved and knowing GW I feared I would not see my subscription again so I contact them directly )

You mean you placed an order, or what you ordered came in? Not sure how to take it.

He means he placed an order. They only just went up for pre-order in Aus.

I thought maybe his Traitor Legions book came late and he just got it. I thought he would have ordered it last year already.

I ordered the Traitor Legion book far after it's release because real life got in the way of ordering it prior to now.

From the site:
Abaddon has unleashed the full might of his thirteenth Black Crusade and little hope remains. On Cadia itself, Ursarkar Creed and manifold Imperial forces mount a desperate defence, and they are soon to be joined by the strangest and most powerful of allies. Their arrival spurs a chain of events that will change things forever – the pylons will fall, the Eye will open, and a storm will come.

So... Imperium falls into the warp then?

According to Veterannoob on B&C weather is likely why we have no reviews yet. He didn't get his yet at least

If VeteranNoob knows he has one coming but it's delayed to weather, is it really that worrying?

The US is, as of today, having to deal with a winter storm.

Didn't know if it was delayed or simply not sent.

I, apparently, also have snow blindness that affects my reading comprehension.
