Ding!!! Celestine was always stated to not have an unlimited lifeline. This isn't new.
SPOILERS!
And references. Because without references, I can also say that the Emperor has always been a Khorne Bloodthirster in disguise. (Not a real spoiler, but you knew that.)
I'm not saying that this isn't true, I am saying I never say any text by GW implying so, and I want to check out your reference.
Are any of GW's books worth buying for story alone?
Well, I bought a second-hand version of Codex: Sisters of Battle, from 40k's 2nd edition, long after it was playable, and I don't regret that purchase, so... yeah?
Straight from the 6ed codex
There is multiple areas where it states her reincarnation isn't permanant.
"Celestine has stated that she will die only when the Emperor himself claims her, and not a moment before."

If she is tarting to fade and we know the golden throne is failing and the Emperor is too then I get the feeling he won't become a warp god.
Assuming this has been the plan or taken into consideration from GW.
No one knows what the emporer plan is warp God, chaos god, star child, etc.
all we know is that he is cool with killing millions of psykers a day to keep himself alive.

AND this is from someone who thinks GW sucks even worse then before. And aside from all of their efforts to win me back last, and this year so far, THIS might actually be the one to do it..
Before these other two nubs gets the thread locked, THIS character is both a support, and an attack piece. If I was an Imperial Player, (Which ... I am.) I would have him and his retinue right in the middle of my forces, and throwing that buff, supporting the force, to both the Armor, and fast attack to lock in, then add in his attack on whatever was locked in. He is a "SPECIAL" special character, and the discussion given gives this guy as the ultimate support character that you could have. I can see this guy one or two shotting a Bloodthirster or enemy characters, as well. I'm going to be expecting stats of 1 or 2+ on everything, not even a word yet to his retinue, which we all know will be incoming as his meat shield.
They talked about his weaponry, his special abilities, and how his roll is used to expand support to the Imp army in general. He will be on par with a extra Ace of Spades in a poker game, and added to the other two characters in the trio, I bet they do a great acapella.
I've been looking over the material since my last post a little, and hate to say it.... 30K, here we come. The Sigmerization of 40K is in hand.

Its not him killing the psykers to keep himself alive...
I'm not going to re-read the lunacy that is the last few pages of this thread, but I'd be very surprised if anyone actually said that. Even that one guy banging on about how relatively difficult it might be for an Inquisitor to acquire power armour, I don't think even that guy said that.

Besides, the ones that get fed into the machine are the ones that fail the testing and are scheduled for execution/drooling husks anyway. This is how the Imperium kills two birds with but one massively ornate ancient device of uncertain origin and purpose.
Spoiler:
The rumour that the testers "adjust" the pass rate based on some sort of quota or the device is just that; an unfounded and entirely baseless rumour.

Okay, we'll have to agree to disagree here, because this quote doesn't look AT ALL the same to me than "Every time I resurect I lose a bit of my soul/my memories". It sounds like something Yarrick might say, and doesn't even mention ressurection.
It's on par with the "I'm too busy to die" quote from Vandire, and Vandire did die nonetheless. It doesn't even acknowledge something supernatural. Which was the cool thing about acts of faith. They could be interpreted as just the Sister's willpower, or intervention from the Emperor. And Celestine's resurection too. Maybe she died and ressurected. Maybe she would fight again despite terrible injuries. Maybe she was thought to be killed but was just lucky and escaped death. Or was that natural luck?

The "Celestine has stated that she will die only when the Emperor himself claims her, and not a moment before." was originally from the "Spirit of the Martyr" Act of Faith from Chapter Approved 2001 where it applied to any Battle Sister squad that used the act. It was the same in the Witch Hunter codex that followed applying to all who used the act. It was only in the 5th Ed White Dwarf codex when they made the Acts unit specific that the line was applied to Celestine.
When Celestine debuted in the Witch Hunter codex Celestine never died as a Repentia, she was mortally wounded and dying. The other sisters discover that she is alive while they are collecting the honored dead. She was no longer merely human however. Her "ruined" body is made whole before the eyes of her astonished sisters. Which was her first miracle, and her apotheosis. Also in her original background Celestine never falls once during the Palatine Crusade. She was never bested in combat and never lost. Her assumed death occurred with the renegade Warmaster Forrax detonated that reactors of his fortress as the crusade stormed. It was not even confirmed that she died at its climax as there were no survivors and no body. The Ecclesiarchy and Adepta Sororitas assumed that she had died as she did not return to them and the crusade ended.
Celestine was original a dead historical character from the history of the SOB. The Eccisarchy and SOB believed that she now sat at the side of the Emperor. Her entry ended with this: "Shall we ever see her like? No, not now, nor ever again...." Which could be seen as leaving open the possibility of her returning.
Her resurrection narrative originates in the 5th Ed Sisters codex, penned by none other that Matt Ward. There it states "It is said that she has fallen in combat several times, having been dealt a mortal blow by one of the Imperium's many enemies. However each time she has miraculously returned to life for Celestine will die only when the Emperor himself claims her, an not a moment before".
So, like most myths and legends Celestine story begins fairly mundane and expanded over time to what we have now. She lead a crusade at sometime in the past, and was presumed dead. How long ago is speculation since no date has ever been given for the Palatine Crusade. Only later to miraculously return.

I don't see why people are upset. Like why now? I can understand if you said Cadian guardsmen but to say Imperial Guard or Astra Militarium is just wrong to get upset. IG/AM are just like cockroaches. They are everywhere. By going by IG/AM not having new kits that should be like saying anytime a story comes up there should always be something new for IG/AM because they should be based there as well.
So the only rip of is that there is no Cadian minis, not IG/AM minis because that can be said for any setting that gets new minis.
Note, please if someone is going to reply to this next question of mine please put it in spoilers.
Do we really know that Cadia blows up or is that just guess work from pictures? I thought from reading the spoilers on Dakka Cadia takes a beating but doesn't blow up. How do we know for sure it blows up?
The subltety of the Sisters died long before Mat Ward got his hands on them.
They were originally fanatical religious zealots all about the Angry Churchin'. Then when that didn't sell, they tried to turn them into D&D Clerics with magical powers. The Celestine becoming some sort of unkillable living saint was just the natural progression of that. I mean, we've gone from the Sacred Rites giving the Sisters Hatred or Frenzy, to Acts of Faith literally making their bullets magically do more damage and penetrate armor with Rending.
Now they're best friends with the Black Templars, forgetting the classic "Protestant vs Catholic" theme they had before. Modern GW writers just don't understand nuance, subtlety, or theme. Not just Mat Ward. Look what they did with Abaddon, retconning the 12 failed Black Crusades into some kind of silly "Just as Planned" ten-thousand-year long con.
Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?

You can make it into Fateweaver, so there's that.

I have very little doubt that the kit will have at least one two-headed optional build and possibly two, one of them representing Kairos Fateweaver, unless he's getting his own special version later.

Spoiler:
Mind you I only read the leaks but they never said cadia blew up just the the ad mech guy lost control of the pylons and the network blew apart with some weird indecipherable runes. However people are correct the leak images show what appears to be cadia exploding and another image of most of the main characters heading into what appears to be a webway. Escaping? Multiple characters all talk about how cadia has fallen. Imho if cadia blows up that lore will be in book 2. Which may lead us into another campaign. War of the webway would make sense if it's a real rumor

"This towering Daemon of Tzeentch stands as tall as a Bloodthirster and sits alongside Magnus, Nagash and the Imperial Knight as one of the most iconic and imposing centerpiece miniatures in the whole Citadel range.
Every inch of this model is dripping in detail: esoteric runes, staring eyes, magical books, arcane scrolls and more besides – it’s a painter’s dream, especially when combined with the myriad colour schemes that Tzeentch’s greatest daemonic champions lend themselves to.
The kit can also be used to create Kairos Fateweaver, the notorious and fickle two-headed Daemon of past and future destinies. We’ll have some shots of this build for you very soon."
I've seen Kairos and I can tell you one thing guys and girls - HE IS SO AWESOME!
Also, that's not the last daemon you will see with this release ...
