Love the survey, on the "Most fun to play against" question, I would've answered a combination of CSM and Daemons. As their was no allies option I went with KDK.... but that still has some big differences.

I did the survey, I hope it's helpful and that someone at GW sees it.

Done, although I felt the later questions regarding rule complexity, random effects etc (questions 32 onward) seemed much to broad. There were a number of times when I felt I waned to have some more nuanced choices.

Done. Just most to play against I have no opinion. I just dislike unkillable highly mobile stuff(daemons, marines deadstars)

Taken. Was not a bad poll, but some questions (ones regarding CAD and such) are a little more complex than yes or no answers, and with such short questions, it leaves a lot of room to craft a response to place in the "other" category. FWIW, I typed out full feedback in two questions, but the responses were fairly generic, with the lack of leading direction in the question.

Good survey overall. Just wrapped it up, thanks for putting it together. I hope it accomplishes what you're setting out to do.

That was the one I was most torn on. Had Orks down first as they do need it but I play Nids and outside of the stupid spam build they are in just as bad a place. Not really wrong picking either.

I was torn there too, because CSMs really need a codex update (these supplemental patches aren't fixing the core issues with the codex) and Orks and DEldar are both in bad spots.
Craftworld Eldar also need a codex update because they're just too good and need to be toned down.

In the end I chose DEldar.

Most in need of an update was definitely Tyranids imo, entirely unplayable outside of Flyrant spam.

And people who think Orks have it as bad as Dark Eldar, go try Orks or Dark Eldar... there is no comparison.

However there are some questions that I found hard to answer.

Question 22 is missing options.
There is no on par options on models. They used to have superior models but inferior rules in my opinion.
But this is no longer the case, but it would go too far to say that GW has on average inferior models to what is out there.

Question 31. Is too complex to answer.

Random assault ranges are bad. I really do not like to lose a 4" charge.
Random objective generation is bad the way it is done now due to the huge gaps in difficulty to for fill the objectives.

Random mutation tables, and random effects such as dakka guns and shock attak guns cool. Some mysterious terrain tables are really cool.

Random objective tables,some mysterious terrain tables are a waste of time and break the suspense of disbelieve.

Mob rule random table is bad.

Question 32. Complexity needs to be refined, and split into multiple questions to get a useful answer.. The game could in my opinion sure use more depth and complexity. But this isn't the same as just pouring on some more special rules and supplements. I do believe in the added value of decent supplements, however I am against a the recent "spaghetti coding" style of GW's releases.

Others believe that the game is too complex, but discussions has shown that what this complexity is varies wildly.

I would like question 39 to have split into pieces.

I am all for daemon summoning since you pay a hefty price pay for psykers, and they can be stopped in the game. It isn't that easy to summon a large amount of daemons for most lists. Summoning is actually one of the few tactical elements left in the game especially since you are generally bad allies with those daemons.

Formation just giving you free upgrades or models is something else. They are just free and there is no interaction possible to stop it.

I voted Eldar they are desperately in need for a new codex removing all the shananigans after that Space marine ( the end of GRAV, end of super fiends), tau(less shenanigans, lower rate of fire) , space wulfs ( end of wulfy stars) and necrons ( back to the old reanimation protocols)
They need a new codex now in order to make the rest playable again.

I was torn on the most fun army minus the player and which one needs an update the most. For me most of the fun comes from interacting with the player but I think orks won there regardless. I was stuck for the other between tempestus, orks, DE, and tyranids. I play all of those minus tyranids and while I have just started the dark eldar the fact that the MT are barely a codex pushed that one just over the edge for me. Power level wise though it probably goes orks, mt, de though with tyranids somewhere just by playing them anyway. Good survey overall though.
