I can live with that. All of the minis in that box could use a refresh. Especially that Naga Hacker. The recent, and decent, Danavas Hacker gives a nice clue about how the new Vedic look may be.
Hmm, so the Aristeia! arena has a gravel pit? The CB art director needs to 'have a conversation' with the sculptors too. Nice dynamism to the sculpt. More of that, please.

Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

Infinity logos refer to "big exciting major" things, apparently the one at Adepticon will be "huge for the timeline" and "controversial" and "it will break the internet"

In the Aristeia! fluff book, the dome / arena have gone through different themes/appearances. The "last season" went with "Ariadnan Wilderness" in which the ALEPH Aspect Parvati went with the "rugged mountain woman" skin for that season. So I think the CB Art Director did "have a conversation" with the sculptors . Gives hobbyist a fluff reason to give the hexadome different skins/themes.

Nobody said that it was "just to combine the Spanish and world forums together".
It's to create a "forum for Corvus Belli games in general" with the Spanish and English forums combined.

I like to think of it less as trolling and more as keeping them honest. There was a very concerted effort for those forums to be exceedingly similar to the old GW forums that many of the posters complained about.
The new forum home page is a hot steaming pants-load, visually speaking. Ah well, los vaivenes de la vida.
I already had an account for the ITS, so I just added the forum to it. I can see myself spending very little time there. Meh.
I wasn't impressed by the forum either. There's more as well but not gonna get into that.

well, we hope for better anti spambot protection, more light and other quality of life improvements over the old forum and better future proof.
time will tell of course, but these were the fundamental ideas that started the talk for the change and why it was decided in the end, it is not something that was decided light or on the spot.
And of course everybody is welcome on the new forum.

Nothing is migrating to the new forum. All of those project blogs will go poof. Except for the precious few that people move manually.
My P&M blog is already here on Dakka. And sort of on the DataSphere. Maybe this will rejuvenate DataSphere. I do hope so. I'm not going to try and migrate the thread I have on the Infinity forums...again.

That is the highest form of trolling. Not all trolling is malign.
Well, let's do hope this finally fixes a lot of the problems that plagued the previous incarnations ( 4 that I know of, and I think there were at least 2 more.) And CB re-skins that front page.
On to pleasanter news... We get to see the Hospitallers next month. And a Charontid resculpt. Will it be up to the high standards that CB has set for the CA?

This is really the only reason I've made the jump though it's annoying they're not bothering to port the old forms. It's very doable, they just may not have a database person outside of V that can do it and figure his time is better spent elsewhere.
The poor terrain section is pretty slow so having both English and Spanish there will help immensely. Of course it doesn't help when people like me take 3 months to update stuff and yet that didn't even move me off the front page.
The new post editor is much nicer then the older form and has a lot more inline editing abilities too. Outside of that the new forums are meh but that's nothing against the forum software but kind of the half-assed way it was implemented on CB's side. Koni has added a few features in and hopefully they'll make a strong push to do so.
Also, CMON has 80% off all their infinity stuff. Mostly all gone now but box sets were $10 and blisers were $2.50. Got a second set of rule books, with LE figures, for $15 as well.

User Mask from the Infinity forums posted them up. Also posted the following:
Nope, but the Vedic branch of Aleph will be in the spotlight next year... Also the new dakinis are on their way if I remember correctly.
The "nope" is in regards to when the Thorakitai and other previewed stuff was coming--as in "Nope, they didn't say". Charontid is February or January though so probably the next 4 months staggered.

Yeah. It’s the Indian inspired Aleph stuff rather than the Greek stuff (Marut, Auras, Devas, Dakinis, Garudas, Danavas etc). I’m assuming it’ll have the Posthumans too but I’m not sure.

Maybe I'll like it more once I see it painted, but that Charontid is pretty disappointing. Not so much the design (which is okay, I guess. But all the "batroids" looks distressingly similar with little interesting variation) but the super generic pose. I would have liked something that was as dynamic as the 2nd gen Charontid. This is just the standard Infinity "I have a gun but I'm not sure where to look" pose. Which isn't a bad pose, but we see it WAY too often, and especially in vanilla CA. For such a key unit I would have thought they'd go for something more interesting.

Not quite.
The "Vedic" Sectorial is what has been used as short-hand for the Operational Sub-Section(OSS). It includes the Marut, Asuras, Devas, Dakinis, Garudas, Nagas, Dasyus, and from what has been hinted at in the fluff it also includes Atalanta.
ALEPH's forces are divided into two Sub-Sections, the OSS("Vedic"), and the Assault Sub-Section(Steel Phalanx). OSS handles the wetwork side of things(the Marut TAG, for example, has been mentioned to have advanced intrusion software that allows it to basically edit itself out of any video footage within its locality while it is engaging the enemy) while the Steel Phalanx is the public face of things since the Combined Army and Paradiso.

There is also a Support Sub-Section, with Hebrew names. Just the rebots as far as I know, but ALEPH is in that Hebrew theme too.
