€125,- would be a bit much, so just one for me if true. I think we've been spoiled by GW with the past few boxed games and Start Collecting! boxed sets in terms of content and price.

Seems possible that the rules will be sold separately, likely as a digital version. So depending on your preference, may be no need to feed the eBay.

I wouldnt be surprised if GW shows us the new Ork buggies (rumored by Hastings) and maybe even announce a Gorkamorka(-like game) at Adepticon with all the mentioning of Speedfreakz in the Warhammer Community teaser article last week.

With the massive amount of boxed games, new rules and games that GW are releasing (or will be releasing), it does have that feeling of "throw as much gak at the wall and see what sticks" method of management.

Yup, like every other single game they have done. Release good ideas, but their ability to actually put some effort into making them full games and expanding on them is extremely minimal.

Silver Tower was good
Gorechosen pretty terrible unless you are screaming the names of the cards and smashing your fist down.
blood Bowl sufferes every single problem old blood bowl has as they just copied pasted it.
Gangs good idea, but 0 effort to really flush it out and their support will be nil after this WD extras added
Hammerhal vomit compared to Silver Tower, just a stop gap because people loved Silver Tower.

Yeah it's almost like they want a big catalouge of products and a nice spike of profit and sales figures even if they cannot maintain it.
Looks to me like there trying to get into a position to appear enticing to a prospective buyer.

They have gone from 2 product ranges and sales numbers in freefall. To halting the decline in sales more or less and expanding from 2 product ranges to a near dozen boxed games as well.

While it is all stuff they needed to do to survive and it may actually be coincidence they have made themselves more atractive to a buyer compared to last time.

It had rules in the first (and only) white dwarf that followed it so far.

It had a week of articles on the community site.

For a tiny little game how much support in such a short time would constitute support?

The hell are you even talking about? Their profits have been through the roof the past financial year.

The art, and what has been mentioned on BoW lead it to be another arena combat game. Just with stormcast guys and more khorne guys. Cause apparently there isn't enough Khorne in AoS

like HMBC said, its Gangs of Stock Clearance. They got their 15 min of fame with added "content" in white dwarf. Like most games, 1 or 2 bonus material in WD and then it is over with and on to the next.

This is based off their track record so far, which follows the same pattern over and over.

I don't understand this "they need to shift old models" thing. They're plastic, not resin; they can just melt 'em down and cast something that does sell.

Agreed, I GM it along with some mates down at our local store it's a lot more fun than ST and it's a bit more "narrative" driven which I am a fan of.
