Got a link? I can't seem to find them on the NZ site.

That's the entire list with both new groups added.

The Ordo Xenos thing is interesting. I assume is because Ordo Hereticus and Ordo Malleus are both represented by Adeptas Sororitas and Grey Knights.

But well, it isn't like is not very easy to slighty modify them to make it a squad of other Ordo.

The Ordo Xenos list has a surprising amount of customisation.

Yeah, I'm pleasantly surprised they have access to Executioner Greatblades - a SoS weapon. That's out of left field but certainly not unwelcome

Ok, so only the Deathcult Assassin has it... but it's still a shock since they've only had 2 power swords rules-wise for as long as I've been playing 40k, and they have metal models.

And now that I think about it, there is not demons warbands in Shadow Wars, so a Ordo Malleus Inquisition warband has no point really.

(GK neither but, they are cool enough to justify their inclusion!)

I'm gonna make a Crusade with a Power-Maul!

Arbite w/ shock maul! Man, if only the Acolytes could take Carapace Armor, this would be an awesome count as Adeptus Arbite list.

So, question for everyone. Are people going to put faith in GW to eventually release lists for all of the other models in most of the armies - or are they going to go with home-brew stuff? I'm just debating firing up the ole' noggin' and fleshing out a much larger Eldar Kill Team list.

Disappointed that they only included the Ordo Xenos. They'd only need to change a few wargear options around in order to fit every Ordo.

Even then, I would have liked to see Executioner Greatblades or at least Eviscerators made available to Inquisitors.

Similarly, the lack of availability of power armour to everyone throws a wrench in my plans and my conversions, but I'll live.

Nah, I'm pretty sure this is it. Remember SWA was a one-and-done release. In fact, it was such a "fire and forget" style release that they didn't even plan a digital release of the original rulebook, and they do digital releases for just about everything.

Only reason this new book exists is because GW spent so much energy hyping this release up, forgetting that they didn't make enough to sell to everyone, and never planned to keep it around, that everyone started complaining that they missed out.

Also, does anyone find it amusing that GW likes to skip around all the Deathwatch stuff, with them being made available as special agents all over the place, but still refuse to give them an actual kill team in a ruleset that's basically tailor made for them? I have no interest in the Deathwatch myself, but man, it must feel like a real kick in the teeth for those that do care.

Dunno why - since it was announced as a softcover.

GW responds to customer demand and ... you still find a way to be negative ... Well, at least one of you is changing.

I have a feeling DW will get rules eventually.

Pretty happy with Sisters at first glance. Love the mini Faith power and how it interacts with specops. I will definitley be making a SoB KT.

Not that it isn't an easy fix via house ruling, but seems so bizarre that the only basic weapon for Inquisition is an autogun. I would have thought if anything lasguns would have been the only option, but not autoguns. Not even laspistols in the pistols either.

Well I guess the acolytes I've built with hot shot lasguns will have to be rolled into an Imperial Guard kill team instead. That said, I'm really tempted go to town on a radical ordo Xenos team. Those Kharadrons are begging to be added as a squat merc acolyte.

Edit: Well I guess I should have read the list more closely. Odd they don't show other weapon profiles in the equipment list for basic weapons other than autogun. Still happy they have a bunch of basic weapon options though!

You can never beat your first time. The second generation is shinier, stronger, faster and superior in every regard save one, and it's an unfair criticism to level, but it simply can't be as original. - Andy Chambers, on the evolution of Games Workshop games

Well, Ordos Xenos list is pretty flexible and cool. Though Carapace armor is an odd omission, considering when GW tends to show models that are "Warrior Acolytes" they tend to be wearing it. I think when I get home from work i may email them about that.

Every normal member of an Inquisitional kill team starts with carapace armour.

EDIT: Holy crap, how did I miss that. Wow GW, what the hell? Missing options are one thing, but none of the missing options here even make sense.

Inq models are extremely specific with what they have. Last I check GW doesn't like to have rules for models that don't exist. Logic says that GW should, in theory, be hording a multi kit for henchmen. But this is GW..

The no models/no rules things has been overstated. Check out BB Season 1, for example.

The Inquisition rules are not bad, though missing carapace armour upgrade for the acolytes.
Pretty amusing that inquisitors get plasma and needle pistols but not inferno pistols, yet Inferno is the one modeled on the figure - guess he's a Ordo Hereticus guy.
Kinda miss the lack of servitors - not for the current models but the conversion opportunity. Oh and servo-skulls/familiars.

Other things I've noticed Of note:

-Basic Troopers can buy special weapons, but 2/3 of them is only for the Inquisator. So just the Storm Bolter
-Only the Crusader and Inquisator wear Carapace/come with it.
-Only the Inquisitor gets access to shooting skills, the go to tree for alot of people.
-The crusader who is their "specialist" does not get access to basic rifles or special weapons

Storm bolters are fairly good, and being able to take as many as you want will mean they could put down ALOT of hurt on people when in range.

I'm finding myself drawen more to the sisters of Battle Gang. Things of note:
-Their leader gets acess to everything except heavy weapons like old-school necromunda gangs. (meaning she gets to carry special weapons!)
-The trooper and recruits get acess to pistols and HtH weapons.
-Everyone is rocking power armour!

The sister Superior feels like she gets the most options of ANY shadow wars model I'm aware of.

If they'd done any attempt at market research they wouldn't need to react to customer demand. Don't piss on my leg and tell me it's raining.

I know right? It's almost as if they never planned to write these rules and slapped them together in the space of a weekend because of overwhelming demand from a fanbase they never bothered to check existed.

*ahem*

The Inq list is pretty interesting. The theme seems to be a tough core of the Inq and his Specialist bodyguard supported by lighter operatives. Crusaders translate as nicely into Stormtroopers as they do actual Crusaders. I guess we are meant to use Guards as the New Recruit and Trooper mooks but ... I'd rather not. TBH really sick of the Cadian kit.

Inapt euphemism there, HBMC. You already know (a) I agree that GW screwed up on guaging demand and (b) that is not what we're talking about anyhow. GW did a nice job listening and fixing here. But I guess all rain is piss, for some.

Doesn't seem I'll have an easy way to pigeon hole those Custodes or Sisters into the game as it stands. Darn. Would've been fun.

At least I can take solace knowing someone, at some point in the future, will do rules up for them!

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Didn't notice the lack of shooting skills, no gunslingers then.
Though your entire band can equip plasma pistols and power swords - I get the feeling your meant to be more combat orientated.
Seems the only reason to list the sniper rifle under basic is for the Inquisitor, the only one with access to the shooting skill table.
