@ Gitz I agree with you GW has not run any large events where the majority of players should worry about 3rd party parts. The last time I played in a sanctioned event run by GW was in the early 90s.

@ bobbuilder thank you, I can’t take credit for the conversions. I am painting these up for a friend, who did a great job with the conversion.

Next project is my entry for the monthly challenge. I had to really think about what I had in the pile of grey that fit the theme of causing fear. The closest I had was the Vindicare Assassin.

I really like the colour palette you've used, it's surprisingly colourful but really effective.

Onto the next project! A primaris Apothecary, was going for a bright white but I’m digging the light gray so far.

Great job on the wolf Captain, a cool mini well painted! Same goes for the Vindicare, his skin suit is really cool in green. I quite like the off white look on the medic, I say go for it!

Thanks Viterbi, I was not sure if the purple would work as I did red at first but did not like the christmasy color scheme. The heretics are itching for a rematch. See below.

The Ultramarines won the day, all that rerolling from Marneus and Lt., seal of oath plus the eradicators pulled out the win by turn 4. I castled up in the corner and just took control of the left side of the board. He did kill a couple of the Eradicators but the Apothecary had them standing up next turn. I am 2 and 1 in league play right now and would have won the game I lost if we could have played longer than 2 turns ( That was my fault as I was just learning the army).

The demon prince took out all the Bladeguard and the Judicar plus almost killed the Redemptor who was down to 4 wounds. DPs are no joke in 9th edition.

Apothecary looks great, as does the force all together like that. Congrats on the win.

The ultras look great going up against the great unpaintedclean! Glad they’re working out in battle

Thanks Youwashock and Gobert. So on Wed of this week I have been challenged by one of the better players in the group. He is running a Dark Eldar list that is not a tournament level one but he has warned me that most units in the codex and their synergies are very good. Going to have to google a ultra list that can handle them. Will post up some pics when it happens.

DE are good.. Admech are better. both have a lot of rules that compliment other units and have great synergies.

Here is a few pics of my game vs the witch Cult of Strife. Only got to turn 3 before we had to quit (I need to play quicker). His was not an optimized list but was really amazing to see it in action. It was quite close but he had one bomber left and some witches a succubus plus 2 raiders. My Eradicators were again the beat sticks and the vitrix guards did a lot of work in CC. A very fun game against a good player.

Sorry for not being on lately, work and life has been busy. Thanks for the comments always appreciated.
I started up a crusade campaign last week for the local gamers and was expecting maybe 10 players. It ballooned to 27 players plus myself for 28. Everyone started with a battle order (army list) of 50 power points of which they could choose 25 for their first game. Painting was not required but encouraged as you get 10 victory points for a fully based and painted army. Seems most folks had a good time by the end of the night.
The plan now is to play again this Wednesday night so far we have 8 signed up to return.
On the painting front I did start work on some Heavy Intercessors and Bladeguard Ancient who will accompany my crusade.
