Another part of the "what if there was this if there was a WH 40k show" this it's about what licensed song would be fitting for the show. Now we all know what Warhammer 40,000 is about, absolute insanity, brutality, warfare, etc. So say the show was an anthology series that had a different story each episode and each episode would either cover a battle of sorts or an aspect of life in each of the factions societies. Well, this forum/poll is about what would be a fitting intro song for the series.

What a Wonderful World to create dissonance and discomfort. Or Mad World. You dont want to "glorify" the 40K univers.

If it is a theme song it will be a unique score. Very few things use set songs these days (any good at any rate) Also will most likely not be any form of Heavy Metal.. but a instrumental score

Wot? No Judas Priest?
To get the original feel of 40k, you need to have a look at what the Studio were into back then.

Would you want episodes of a 40k show to jump between stories? No character or plot development whatsoever?
On topic though, it'd obviously be an original score, shows rarely use actual songs and even then it's usually instrumental songs. And even then I imagine it won't be metal but some kind of glorious orchestral piece, think along the lines of DoW 2 ost.

Probably the Three's Company theme song, because there's going to be mixup somewhere, except it ends in death instead of the studio audience's laughter.

The show I described was just an example of a kind a show I would want to see of Warhammer. But now that I think about it, a series like Warhammer 40,000 would have an easier time making movies than making a show because you can make a series of animated movies based on say the Space Marine battles series, Soul Drinkers, Storm of Iron, Etc. Because they have a easier time focusing on those singular films rather than worry about an entire TV series. Although I could see a series based on the Black Templars, Ciaphas Cain, or Gaunt's ghost working.
As for the Music, I agree that they would use an Orignal score similar to DOW II, but hey a guy can dream right?
