Time to pick the topic for next month's challenge! This month, the options are....


Legendary- Every story needs its heroes and villains. The only criteria for this subject is that the entry has a suitably epic history attached to it; this could be a special character or one taken from the lore of your game of choice, or a home-made hero (in which case a short history attached to the entry would be appreciated!)

BOOM! - Says it all really. Explosive experts, heavy firepower, anyone or anything that can make things blow up in a spectacular manner, from a mage hurling fireballs to an artillery piece shaking the earth.

The Power Of Three- You entry must consist of 3 models with some connection in role or purpose. From a trio of commanders in a grand army to a diplomat and their bodyguards, basically any 3 models sharing a theme. Inspired by the GW Triumvirate sets, but can of course apply to any game/range!

Can't Stop The Signal- Whether delivered through waving a flag, beating a drum, coordinating over a radio net or just yelling orders, good communications are essential to any army. Your entry should fit this theme by being part of some communication network or command structure.

Would like to get my Kromlech Ork Goliath Mine & Operator painted up,so voted for BOOM.

With the exception of the signal, I’m good for any of these. Voted for Boom though.

And I could probably find a signal to not stop.

Working fine for me, should still be about 30 hours left.

Legendary! I have a certain Red, Wolf hating, Demon Primarch ready for the painting

To be honest im ok with all of them this month as all give me sn excuse to paint stuff that needs painting and not just getting something extra.

Honestly I play Orks... so yeah, went for BOOM!

I voted for Legendary, but I could make something work for any of the categories:
Legendary: Roboute Guilliman! Or if I want to do something similar I've got a ton of character models from several armies that can use some paint.
BOOM!: I've got plenty of (unpainted) heavy firepower to go around in my 40k collection, so I can definitely make something work for this. Leaning towards either my Skull Cannon of Khorne or some Tau Crisis Suits with Fusion Blasters.
The Power of Three: I've got 3 Thunderwolf Cavalry models that are ready for some paint, or alternatively I could perhaps strip my badly painted LOTR Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli and paint them up properly.
Can't Stop the Signal: I could do a Wood Elf Banner Bearer from my LOTR collection, or maybe a group of Bloodletters with a Banner of Blood.

I voted for the power of three, but I think I have things available to paint on all fronts:

Legendary- I have three phoenix lords that would need painting, or maybe my blackshield reaver lord, Pugilus, and his two power fists, or my raging heroes Celestine...

BOOM! - I have a Broadside that is perfect for that, or a squad of Dark reapers, of my Blackshield Volkite culverin squad...

The Power Of Three- Here would be my three phenix lords, or my blackshield HQ: Reaver Lord, Dark Herald and Knight Errant, or one member or each of the chamber militants of the inquisition: one Deathwatch marine, one Grey knight, and one battle sister...

Can't Stop The Signal- Here I'm thinking banners and icons, I have a blood angel sanguinary guard with banner to build, That could work, of my Dark Herald...

So yeah, from what comes out of these choices, I clearly see that I have too many projects going on at once... I must finish one thing or I'm going to keep running around like a headless chicken with all those armies...

Ohh good looks like its BOOM! Thanks too whoever voted for it,here's to hoping my other two RC Goliath Mines arrive in time so i have the full set.

I'm having problems getting the "vote" option to work, but Boom!! definitely has the most appeal.

Boom just takes it, so break out the big guns for next month. Legendary gets another go next time as usual!

And something else I have nothing for... Sigh...

Would a huge dragon fit the theme? It's kind of the closest I have.

I'm sure theres something you can find, even if its just a single trooper with a grenade, a heavy weapons guy, siege weapon, mage, dragon with fireballs that go boom! if you can find a reason (even a very lose one) that it fits it will be fine, its really just to get people painting after all.

I struggled with time last month so may have to scale my ambitions down to something more manageable for this challenge, so that sadly means no giant ork death weapons of destruction from me... for now.....

Starting a executor assassin, when he dies he goes boom. Can I enter?

Hopfuly i will be able to figure out something to do.
