Well the Ender 3 keeps going on sale cheaper , i am seriously contemplating getting a second one . Seriously. There is so much I want to print and get done that I have a backlog of 40+ models(not counting doing multiples of those) for a KoW army. Then there’s terrain. The only thing stopping me is my wife . She would divorce me in a heartbeat if I started to buy more filament. I’m getting one spool a month ($22), she just doesn’t see I haven’t spent anything from our account lately. My Conquest buy was from BDay funds.
I’ve probably only spent less than $400 on the printer (200printer, 60 replacement parts, 140 in filament and files to be generous) . Beats what I would normally spend on models to this point.

Yeah, I blew the left over Bday funds on Bushido the game with their Gencan15 sale which started today. Gits' has done a great job selling the game with his videos and I already had almost all the Ninja Clan, all the already released Minimoto Clan and some models from the Temple of Ro-Kan. With the extra 15% pretty much wiping out the Airmail costs and a little extra I was able to pick up the new Temple starter bundle which had all the models I was wanting in it, the last missing ninja for my collection and the Rulebook, tokens, special play cards(for all three of my factions) and scenario cards. I think I have someone who works at the game store interested in the game and since I'll have three fully playable factions I might be able to generate some interest.
Having four cats and three kids I am too leery to get into the resin printer game right now. My work area is in a full open part of the basement. Once a kid moves out then I can take over their room possibly if my wife doesn't claim it for a home office (which I would be fine with).
I got more printed today, but with returning back to work this week I am beat having been on my butt for three months , I'll do a photo dump later.

It keeps starting up and heating, but after returning to the home spot it won’t start another print. I think I’ve had it running basically nonstop for four days. It might be overheated, so I shut it down to give it a rest while I’m at work today. All the online advice I’ve seen is either it’s overheated or got a corrupted file somehow, my microSD card did glitch on me, but that can also be caused by overheating and static. Reformated it, reloaded and still same issue. Sent creality an email this morning.
Either way I have plenty to keep me busy painting until I figure it out. The worst part is I ordered another spool just in case about ten minutes before it went on strike .
Oh and heads up Lots of sales happening now with GenCon being cancelled. Miniature Market has a $10 off deal too.

Bushido is very tempting. I'm currently sticking together lots of Japanese themed figures from the Shadows of Brimstone Forbidden Fortress set and looking for replacements for the human-ish figures as some of them are terrible (better than the cowboys from the original sets though!). I'm also in a samurai mindset from playing Ghost of Tsushima
Must resist buying stuff with the Gencon discount...
It definitely looks like a really great small game. Variety of missions. Lots of different armies each with multiple ways to play them. Great sculpts, and since your in The UK shipping shouldn’t be as bad for you as they airmail it to us (about $25 for shipping less than 10 models, a book and a few decks of cards ) that was about 20% of the bill which is too much in my book. Unfortunately there’s no US distributor that I can find and only a few shops carry it and most is older single model (they just updated all the cards to 3rd edition).
You should buy it with GenCon discount, because you would buy it anyway and might as well save money....or if your like me your going to spend the same amount but will get one or two more items for the same total .
plus just use the Shadows of Brimstone models as civilian models or decoration so your getting multiple uses out of each item.
Printed a bunch of things, all posted over in my printing thread, I’d repost here, but getting ready to leave to work at church this morning. Have a plan to start painting some more models this week/weekend. Actual painting and not just contrast which is still painting, but I need more color than just the few contrasts that I have.

I had a look at the Bushido stuff and the factions/figures I was most interested in are all preorders, so not in the discount. I'll have. Think while I try and get caught up on the huge Brimstone backlog. If you think your postage was excessive, the new brimstone box is $110 with $100 postage... And then import taxes at the UK end :/

Luckily no import duties here.....yet.
Yeah I'm wanting to get all the Minimoto stuff, I'm up to date so far, but need to get the rest when it comes out. I also want all the Shiho Clan stuff as well. I will save up for those and maybe get them on the nest sale if they get the discount.
I saw the shadows of Brimstone stuff, the first sets didn't wow me, but the newer ones (oriental themed) I really like. I just don't want to get into another Zombicide sort of situation where I have to catch them all.
Inishing the fourth Oni in a minute. Daughter has a Doctors appointment at noon so I will try and print out the weapon in between now and then for the 5th Oni and start him when we leave. I think they will count as Tree Hearders in Kings of War: Samurai/Elves.

Finished my second week back at work, getting settled in, but still tired from being so lazy over my furlough. Finished a 10hour print of baby Yoda which is on my wife’s desk in her newish home office (my bedroom ) and finished a couple other prints as well.
The two handedless (usually two handed club toting) Oni and his mirror who when I set them up like this I realized I can snip the clubs and add some modeling chains and they can be dragging something like an Oni Chariot . I may have to print more to do this .
Also the armor stand a sword a terrain piece is great.
So hard to get a good picture, but it reminds me of the scene in The Last Samurai film where the armor is displayed in the house of the dead fathers.
Trying to get enough Oni club space printed today. Have a few other plans as well. Overnight will be another Baby Yoda, I’ll try and get a picture of him shortly.
Baby Yoda telling my wife it’s coffee time. I need to print one for the Pator as he is a huge Star Wars Fan and coffee drinker.

Baby Yoda is excellent. I'm loving all the Oni, still looking for a good skinny Oni with spear for Lightning (for Hellboy). I really have a notion to do white scar, or at least successors, with mempos.

He really is, and the newer program is getting much better results with smoother skins all around. I made another for the Pastor overnight.

I have a few Skinnier Oni, I'll try and do a picture later, none really look like Hellboy though.
Speaking of lightning, The Church was struck by lightning around 4 am this morning. I showed up just after the assistant pastor called to let me know about the fire and I couldn't even get on the street with all the engines, ambulanes (no one was there, but just routine) and police cars. The steeple is a complete loss, good ridance to it and the stupid pineapple finial they had on top of it . Unfortunately they believed it was out and started to pack everything up when flames came out of the rafters again and they broke out the big hoses. We aren't allowed in until later today if then. The assistant pastor (Over Music and classes) of course ran inside and saved all the instruments except the drum set because it was too big to drag out. He was alsothere before the firefighters arrived and they put a stop to that when they arrived . The Steeple is directly over the sanctuary stage, back office and youth room in the basement, so I have a feeling it's going to be service in the Reception hall again for a while. Insurance is paid up though .

Crikey. Sounds full on! Glad things and folk safe. As for Oni, I didn't clarify: there are a pair of Storm Oni in one of the animated versions, and the extant hellboy Oni is perfect for Thunder (big, tetsubo) but there isn't one for his brother Lightning (slender, spear).

That’s one heck of a drama filled weekend! Thankfully it sounds like no one was hurt. Hopefully the insurance sort it out efficiently and let the church pick a different finial! Perhaps you could 3D print one?

Well the drama continued at home later that morning. I couldn’t find my phone so I went in and out of the house multiple times checking my car, but somehow between it all my phone had fallen out of my pocket up in our bedroom, found it like two hours later. When I went to go check the church later that afternoon, I walked outside and a huge branch had fallen from the tree over my car. A lower branch caught it and it was dangling no joke less than 4” from the hood of my car . I backed the car up, grabbed the branch and it fell without even pulling. Basically if a ladybug would have landed on it my car would of had a sailing mast . All is good though.
Another major thunderstorm just rolled through in the last couple hours, watching our trees bend in the wind is not as relaxing as they make it sound in Dune .
So the new settings are a mixed bag. I’m getting such great prints, but reworking the wall section that took 12 hours now takes 23hours . I’m trying to think if it’s worth it. The final products definitely look much better. It’s nit like I’m running low on things to paint as I’m lazy .

Blimey, an action packed weekend Theo. The damage to the Church is not ideal (Pineapple finial and all!) but at least nobody was hurt and the insurance should cover it, and good that your car escaped as well.
I am from a place called Coventry in the UK, have a quick Google as to what the Luftwaffe managed to do to our Cathedral one night in November 1940...

I have seen images of Coventry Cathedral before, but it is always good to be reminded of that sort of devastation, lest we forget.
I figured out the part of the program that i've switched over to (Cura 4.6.2) that lets me input the cost of my spool of filament to break down the overall cost of some of my prints. I cannot go back without reslicing the files to get all the prices, but needless to say one meter of my filament comes down to $0.07 for the prints. So now I will e documenting how much each piece costs to produce. I also took one of the 3 baby Yodas i have printed to work today. Pretty sure i sold another Ender 3 with just showing off the one print . ,I want commissions on these .

I'd have to go back and check what I posted here about sunday, but our church was struck by lightning, spoilered is an update.
Spoiler:
Well, So the thought of not much damage done to the church is out the window . Insurance adjuster, structural engineer, 2 abatement companies and I'm sure others showed up yesterday to inspect and get quotes together. The church steeple which got hit by lightning and caused a fire sunday morning is unsafe and will need to come off. THere is a hole in the roof that looks like a cannonball (size of an american football) blew through the roof and there is structural damage to rafters and supports. THe heat, not so much the electricity fried the soundboard a good 60' from the hit and the dimmer packs and stage lighting are non-functional. no Idea on all the instruments. THe water damage is significant and goes all the way down into the youth room in the basement. Before any content damage and without the electronics replacement costs we were over $250,000 in damages and remediation costs. The adjuster even mentioned that this could climb high enough to actual be considered a complete loss . THe building is still sound, but the costs of returning it to new is why he is stating this. Anyway, everyone is safe and we will continue to move forward, just no service this weekend as they are pulling soot and smoke from all areas of the 10,000+ sq. ft. building. We are blessed in the fact that it didn't happen when the building was full of people. That would have been bad.
Today I received a package that I ordered a couple weeks back. Since Gencon turned into Gencan't, GCTstudios did a 15% off Bushido sale, so I took the opportunity to catch back up on the new edition of Bushido: Risen Sun. All the Stuff I have been printing from the Dragon Empire will work nicely for terrain, including the last couple days worth of stuff.
The big base is 100mm, which is a Zone of control size . THe lanters can get based on small bases for some of the missions, everything else will just be small table elements.
So what did Theo Get?
I picked up the TEmple of RO-Kan starter bundle, which included the Main book, Tokens, the 5 model starter box which is 70rice (points) and two additional monks 28rice (points again), and the TEmple of Ro-Kan special card deck. A large game is usually 100rice, so with enhancements and items I can easily hit that. Plus I already had a few monks before and I don't think I have any overlaps.
I also grabbed the last ninja that I was missing and the special play cards for that faction.
Also, also got the Minimoto clan Special play cards as I already have all their currently released items, though in a month or two they will basically be doubling their range of models for the Minimoto clan, but thats for another purchase.
One more thing (Said in Uncle's voice from the Jackie Chan Cartoon ), I grabbed the Year of the Risen Sun Cycle deck, which has special objectives for all the clans.
I have spoken about the game at the local shop and may have someone interested in playing it, and he gets to do some of the ordering for the shop, so hopefully I can get some interest going and maybe even a regular group. It's a terrible time to be back at work . Anyway, part of my plan tonight/tomorrow will be to dig out all my other models and start getting the Cards figured out for the new edition for my existing models. I was able to download the cards for all three factions, but they are sized for full page print, and I want to get them printed at regular card sleeve size.
Anyway, I have a 12 hour print of a Torii gate that will be finishing shortly, so I need to calculate my next steps.
Edit: Torii is completed and supports removed. Also all the models have been assembled. Super clean on all the casts, only the smallest flash on one model and it was easy to remove.
Samurai may be a ninja of a million tricks, but is still no match for all these elemental monks .

Indeed. And some rapscallion Facebook poked me about terrain for Marvel Crisis Protocol , so I might have a side project to handle as well.
So overnight I printed a second 4” zone of control base. It was shrunk down from a 120mm base, so a couple small lanterns on it got even smaller and my big hands broke one while man handling it . Early morning hours have me awake and everyone sleeping still so I printed the last two of the one style lantern to use for one scenario, so the next 4” zone of control is now printing and should be done around bed time. While the two lanterns were printing I pulled my older Bushido figures. Terrible pics as per the course with me, I need to build/buy a light box, I’ve just always pushed it off, but it’s moving up the priority ladder.
Anyhow, here are all the monks and peasants I have for the Temple of Ro-Kan.
I’m really thinking about stripping them all down and starting them all from scratch. I don’t want to do my usual and just paint over the top of them, and I want cohesion between the old and new.
Also, all the Minimoto and Ninja have been located.
Eventually I’ll strip the Minimoto down so I can paint them along with the new ones when they get the next release, but for now they are paintedand ready for action, just need to print out the new cards.
The Ninja behind the Minimoto are all complete, except poor Wamu who is new and basing. I might just try and paint Wamu to blend in with the rest instead of painting them all over again, but time and frustration will decide.
All the new cards have been sleeved and sorted. I just need to pick out appropriate colored dice at this point (First world problems).

Sorry to hear about the church damage, that sounds like a real shame if the building is structurally sound. I hope they manage to sort something out!
I had some questions about the Bushido figures. I know they are multi-part, but how fiddly are they? Tiny metal bits are what drove me away from Infinity. Also, how do they compare, height wise, to the default size of Dragon Empire figures?

Thanks ,
So as far as fiddley bits go , they aren’t as bad as I remember infinity models being. Here are three models that have multiparts(2+parts).
Left to right; Wamu the ninja is one piece for the body with only the sword and hand up to the wrist being a separate peice. The parts are keyed to fit nicely too. The female monk again is one piece body with both arms and the energy sphere being a second part. One shoulder is keyed to help assembly. Lastly the peasant farmer I saw one piece body with two separate arms and a separate back pack for a total of 4 parts. If I remember he comes in a two model kit which allows the arms to be switched between the models to give you a chance to make variations. So while small they aren’t like old Bloodbowl Khemri models where the kneepads are separate .
Size comparison wise it’s important to note that the Titan-Forged models print size is already larger than their order models from us size. To scale them equal they say you must print at 87% scale (80 something, can’t remember just now) to match models you order printed from their shops. I could not find any spare bases this morning to match these, so slight difference there.
Jumping Ninja, Wamu,Not David LoPan,Monk who’s name I haven’t bothered learning yet.
Monk formerly named but forgotten now, Yuko from Dragon Empire, Rice farmer, Dragon Empire Shogun.
Unfortunately I haven’t printed too many human sized Dragon Empire people, or they were in such dynamic poses like jumping Ninja that it really does not help. I think they align we’ll size wise. Even not David LoPan will just be a tall guy with big hat. The female samurai is a little bulkier than the female monk, but I’d chalk that up to armor and boob size variation .
Did one last quick size pic. Minimoto Clan Samurai versus Dragon Empire Shogun standing on same bases(Dragon Empire guy has a tiny bit of poster tack holding him on the base). Basically same size, Dragon Empire guy I saw bulkier, but I see that more as super Ornate armor which the bear clan really does not do.
All in all I think they fit fine together.

Cool, thanks for the breakdown; it is very very much appreciated. Those look far less fiddly than some of the infinity models that I remember. I think one figure had about 12 tiny pieces of metal to stick together; some looked like flash!
It looks like Bushido will be a good alternative source of figures. They look great with the Dragon Empire and Titan Forge stuff; I'm just looking to scale them to the Shadows of Brimstone figures, which size nicely to the Titan Forge, if a bit slimmer.
