It's not like Reserves isn't the random thing that it used to be, anyway. You choose when the come on to the table, so requiring them to be in Reserves isn't as much a balancing as it used to be. In fact any unit with a minimum Movement would probably want to start in Reserves so that it doesn't put itself in a position to be isolated.

Not anymore, unless it has a rule that allows it to go in reserve.

They have more wounds, but I suspect they will get killed easy. However, at this point, I am expecting everything is getting dead fast - so it will be about target priority and distracting your opponent (you know, smart play kind of stuff...).
Speaking of smart play - I have three trygons/who are also magged to be mawlocs.......and mawlocs they will be!
See if you can figure it out....
Speaking of smart play, I doubt my opponent will be too dumb to let me kill their characters that easy. F*cking Mawloc needs to deploy 1" from ANY enemy unit. That means with a little smart positioning of their characters (not that much, as Mawloc is gigantic and its base does not fit in small holes the opponent can make in his army), their characters won't be killed.

FW pretty sure to bring it though. They sell conversion kit. GW doesnt sell model. Ergo GW ignores it rules wise Automatically Appended Next Post: Marmatag wrote:I think it's a good thing fliers are hittable by shooting. it's frustrating both (a) going up against someone who brings fliers when you don't have a solid answer and (b) having flying units you don't want to use, because no one has a good answer.
Though fliers haven't been broken since early 6th ed...

Few things I'm confused about... How are flyers easier to hit if you now need to add one to your BS skill to hit it? (Orks would need a 6 to hit it). It is annoying we can no loner us the going off the table rule but now twin link is gone and other stuff that helps my Ork bommers, I'm pretty happy. Finally, I see the shooting faze as happen during tge movement faze. So even though you role after you move, you have to imagine you were shooting while moving like a strave run. Any unit behind you, thus, was in range of your guns while you shot.

As it is any fast model or with deep strike wants to be in reserves. Won't get shot if opponent starts and helps getting first turn Automatically Appended Next Post: lolman1c wrote:Few things I'm confused about... Exact quote: So they will be easier to hit for most units.
MOST units aren't BS5+. Marines hit fliers now on 4+ vs 6+. That's significant boost. 300% infact.
And game doesn't clearly work with idea of simultaneous action so that imagination fails.

That only works if you fly over the unit you're shooting at. It's entirely possible to start the turn with a unit behind you, move so that it is still behind you, and somehow shoot your forward-mounted guns at it.
(And no, you aren't turning around, shooting, and then turning back. That directly contradicts the 90* maximum turn limit.)

Wait? Was it harder to hit flyers before? I just thought you shot at it...
And you could imagine it does a barrel role to shoot targets. For god sake it's a table top game with plastic models from a fantasy future! Anything can be possible.

Why have any restriction on what can shoot anything? Why even have line of sight, range or terrain?

Do you play 30k? It'd be a lot cooler if you did. |

And yet another who has this flawed idea that world must be realistic to make sense when dime in a dozen writers can do believable unrealistic worlds never mind good ones who make 100% believable worlds with magic, flying dragons and talking trees.
