This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

I want pictures of Spider-Man!

But in all honesty some updates for finecast models and the older plastics would be good. Orks, Sisters, Eldar, and guard need a kit update. Havocks and cult marines for chaos would be good too.

Of course an Eldar player would think that.

The game needs new releases. Maybe Eldar and Marines are fine as they are-- and I really doubt most players would think that-- but there's plenty of other factions that desperately need an update. And that's just rules. There's hundreds of model ranges and in fact entire factions that need new miniatures.

Translation: Can we get a plastic one of these? Preferably in dual kit form with a new unit:

First and foremost: Plastic Sisters. That out of the way?

Old models gotta get replacements, with Finecast right behind.

So, for example, things on the list include:

ELDAR
Aspect Box - Howling Banshees and Swooping Hawks
Aspect Box - Striking Scorpions and Fire Dragons
Aspect Box - Dark Reapers and Warp Spiders

Each of those would be a plastic multipart kit that'd make a few* of each type, akin to the other sets out there (BurnaBoys/Lootas, Venomthrope/Zoanthrope, etc) ... this means that you'll get some spare parts from each box, but each one will be assembled from the same bodies and those three have similar armor saves so should have similar-looking bodysuits. Ideally you'd get ten in a box, but 5 is more likely (with one being an Exarch either way) ... this could also serve as a "Phoenix Lord" box in a way, since you'd have all the spare parts to make your own. Kitbashin', Ork style! These would run about $25-ish each, like Loota/Burna kits.

ORKS
Speshulist Box - Tankbustas and Kommandos
Buggy/Trakk box - Three that can be made into Buggies or Wartracks because, good LORD these are ancient models. Probably a $66 kit. :( But, you know, realistic!
Da Boss - Multipart "Build your own Warboss" kit. Probably $20 for a single model, but LOADS of options.
Da Krew - Multipart box akin to Veteran Marines ... allows you to make five in all... Nob, Painboy, Weirdboy, Big Mek, and Bannah Bearah

TYRANID
Vore Box - Biovore/Pyrovore combo box.
Shrikes (3 to a box)

SISTERS OF BATTLE
Sisterhood Box - 10 plastics for a basic tactical squad.
Sisters Veteran Box - Allows an Elite build of 5, which could be made into a leader, banner bearer, etc.
Heavy Sister Box - 5 sisters, heavy and special weapons galore
(These three would all be interchangeable akin to marine sets)
Jumppack unit

Not so much to ask, I don't think.

Does the Inquisition get a Manhood Box, with options for Acolytes to take guns bigger than themselves, like Twin Lascannons or Hurricane Bolters?

Speaking of which, I'd like to see racial gun emplacements that you can buy for your army. A small to medium sized barricade with heavy weapon options that can be wielded by whatever unit is behind it (within reason).

You're kidding... Eldar are hardly fine as they are. The rules are so bad people have called them intentionally bad and Eldar need an update for their models pretty badly.

Eldar are doing pretty damn well right now according to most of the posted battle reports. Some units are broken, but a lot of Eldar units were always broken. I notice you're ignoring the actual point of my argument, naturally.

Well it looked like your point was about model releases.

I was responding to Darkness Eternal's stated desire for there to be no further releases at all. Which, for multiple reasons only a few of which I stated, is very problematic.

As other have said I would like to see an update across the range for fine cast kits. As well as a full plastic Sister range. Also... I would really like to see something new. Something completely different and new. Perhaps emerging from the new great rift?

Well, they do need to release armies for every obscure and forgotten bit of 2e apocrypha before they have no choice but to get round to Sisters. So I think they'll be right after the Eldar Exodites, and the return of the Squats.

(actually, as a kid who was into Dino-Riders, Exodites would be damn cool)

Don't forget the Iron Men, the Ratling hordes (40k Skaven), the Interex, the armies of Malal, the Demiurg, the Enslaver Plague, and a Mass Effect crossover box game.

My deathguard were left even worse than they were for most of 7th edition. Its far from the only example of imbalance. So yeah, codices aren't going to screw up balance any worse.

Did you even see 7e? GW is known for buffing OP units, nerfing UP units, and cyclically invalidating armies.

Which, Selym, is not a valid argument for having no updates at all. it's an argument that GW needs to get better at game design.

I'm not objecting to updates, I'm objecting to anyone who thinks that GW will actually manage to improve things.

GW improves things sometimes. Not everything they do is hit or miss. Hell, already 8th edition is still better balanced than 7th.

Down with this sort of Finecast! Careful now!

Seriously, Plastic Aspect Warriors please? The suggestion of dual-unit box sets is quite interesting. I've been looking at AOS kits to convert Aeldari and there is a lot of instances of 2 or even 3 units being able to be built out of one kit. Such an idea could be very warmly welcomed by me,

Plastic Sisters of Battle would be fine too. Keyword Imperium would probably see me pick up a box at some point just for the modelling and painting of them, even if they weren't often fit into my Imperium armies.

There's plenty more room for models, but for rules...so far I'd say there needs to be a real look at expanding Chaos. I've griped about the existing lists already elsewhere on here, but I'm really hoping GW expand on the range of weird stuff they get. And hopefully better incentives for taking specific gods' Marks.

Take a look at what I've been painting and modelling: https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/0/725222.page

Yeah, the sets I chose were due to both armor levels (Banshees and Hawks being lighter than normal) and trying to get poses that are vaguely similar, so that the gear could work for either one. Fire Dragons and Scorpions both have a sort of "lunging/lurking" look to their bodies, while Warp Spiders and Dark Reapers are both standing fairly still with big guns held high, so, they seemed to be the best targets for a GW-produced box akin to the Ork or Tyranid sets. (Venomthropes/Zoanthropes, Lootas/Burnas, and so on) ... and everybody loves having some spare parts around for conversion work. I don't think it's be all that hard to make, but, I'm also not a sculptor, so what do I know?

I like the lion, but russ would also make an interesting story. His old rival has destroyed fenris and his sons, and his loyal brother is trying to change what their father created. He wouldnt be happy and it would lead to a interesting turn of events

I think russ would make more sense to come back later , the lion is litterally sleeping just like gulliman for most purposes, and at least some members of his chapter (legion really calling the DA a chapter is silly) know where he is..no one knows where russ is save maybe the emperor..with mort coming it would make sense to just wake the lion thats just my opinion

Yeah the lion coming back would lead to a battle for leadership with guilliman, so I dunno. In my opinion the order of the loyalists should have been leman russ first. He could have come back bearded and scarred and fought magnus on fenris. Then used something he found in the warp to heal gulliman and bring him back

If we're gonna stick with primarchs (and unfortunately, it appears we are much to the detriment of the setting), I think the best way to do it would be somethingl ike Robooty gives in to the daemonic taunts and becomes corrupted at the same time as Sanguinius, Lion, or Russ comes back pure and untainted, creating what's almost a reverse horus heresy.

Im not really sure why some people dont think codieces arent going to be coming(as if gw would pass on that automatic cash cow)..or that they are a bad thing..the state of the game currently is playable, but its anything but balanced in its current state, its even worse than with codecies/codex creep.
