I'm in the same boat as you. Fingers crossed for more terrain!

I also hope they unlock parts of the core set as add-ons. There are one or two things I would grab.

Did they just make a bit of terrain just for people looking to recreate Army of Darkness in miniature form?

The pillar bits go with their graveyard set, originally from Bones III:

Interesting that Darkreach gets a 4th addition while the other expansions all stopped with a 3rd.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

The other ones tended to have something big in them (behir, gulper, etc). Darkreach doesnt really have that, and has a bunch of gnomes bringing down the average.

That Behir was anything but big. Biggest disappointment with the Stoneskull expansion.

The old D&D prepaint was better.

Really? That's a shame, it looked like it was going to be pretty massive. Never checked it out at release though. Glad I still have my old DDM one!

I took another look at Baba Yagas hut thinking that it might be worth while just as a hut but... ... nope.

I look foward to getting some cheap bones fungus some day though.

Dark reach is kind of cartoon-ish, hope that isn't a long term trend with Reaper. I do like the delver though.

DAMN GNOMES ALWAYS BRINGING DOWN THE AVERAGE

Grave Things and other subsets of the core will be made available separately. No idea why they're taking so long to do this. And, yeah, I'd like a second set for symmetry.

I thought the Behir was the size of a small dragon?
The D&D Behir miniature is about as tall as a playing card: http://i699.photobucket.com/albums/vv360/eliasboom/Singles/Giants%20of%20Legend/Behir/c1.jpg

Ok, now that Lost Valley expansion is pretty rad! Stuff looks basic enough with detail that will come through. Would be really cool if they did the hut like the pit fiend, with multiple accessory add ons.

But no, no. The closet of shame is nearly full!

Oh and what the heck is going on with the Dark Reach set? I think they're sampling a few of those fungus men...

IMHO, it's the best Bones ever, with the focused expansions and killer add-ons. The Core Set is already an insane value and more stuff will be added by the end.

I am patiently awaiting the the Frost Giant Warriors (Men) from Bones 3 to be available at retail, or unless I spot someone selling theirs. I missed out on them originally, but recently have a need for them.

Looking at that Lost Valley addition, all I can say is, that's not a fertility idol.
THIS is a fertility idol.

Lost Valley is amazing if you love Pulp adventures. Are there any good "Land that Time Forgot" style skirmish rules out there?

I hope we see a Doug McClure-esque adventurer hero in there

Dark reach - so much hit, so much miss. The gloomstalker is amazing. The fungus people, not so much. Though it might not be too hard to convert them to actual mushrooms. Gnomes, meh. Elves, hard to say from sketches. Monsters - mostly great!

Well... I found this 2008 TMP thread! : http://theminiaturespage.com/boards/msg.mv?id=177685
I have the old Metagames Sticks and Stones, but the Valley expansion still needs a mammoth, more cavemen, and some dogs!
Prehistoric Settlement has good TMP reviews, if you like to play cavemen with supply lines, resource building, and other "historical miniatures" strategy. http://www.stevebarbermodels.com/books/423-prehistoricsettlementrulebook.html

Thes Hunter on the Reaper forums broke down the mold costs of the miniatures: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/75913-reaper-bones-4-enthusiasm-and-commentary-thread/&page=402#comment-1606774
Core is at $.70 per mini, and the Gauth dragon comes to about six bucks!

$50 plus shipping is a bit more than I want to spend right now, but they have my attention.

I would be extremely hesitant about going off of sketches. The Froghemoth and Hobgoblins and cultists from the last one ended up straying from the art a ways.

Agreed. Love the critters and the purple shrooms. Gnomes and fungus men bringing the value way down.

Lost Valley would be nice if they didn't waste so much weight on a damn hut.

Looks like it will be Dreadmire and Chronoscope for me.

Funny, with the KS winding down, I was just thinking this was a rather disappointing showing. There are some figures I'd like to have scattered through the various sets, and I'll probably pick up the new giants, but there is nothing that's making me go "WOW! I have to have that!!!" like I experienced in previous campaigns.

Maybe I'm just becoming jaded to KS?
